I don't think it was announced anywhere, she just did it. My guess is that she came back for late 2020/2021 when COVID made her main 'nail salon' business unviable and re-retired as soon as that picked up again (judging by her non-AV focused SNS).

Some controversial statements here.... As for Asahi Mizuno, I think that her comeback is over. AFAIK she's not shot anything in 2022 and is back to doing nails.

I think that AIKA has one of the widest range of roles she can competently do: from fully submissive to power-parity (GFE, one-night stand plots etc...) to fully dominant. To me she her standout feature is her charisma that truly carries her. (Yeah, she's got a perfect body and she's an absolute chameleon with the list of looks she had/has, but with a wet paper personality it wouldn't matter that much). Overall, a strong solid list, a lot of overlap with my preferences - AIKA and HibiHata make up for 80% of the movies I have..
