A factor not touched upon a lot is while financial education in high school is lacking most everywhere, those in western societies still are treated more like adults. Japan upon graduation sees students still not acting as the adults they should be. Coupled with the mindset of “agent does everything for me” and “well, I’m hot so why try harder?”, we see considerably more Yua-type actresses who get snatched up by DMM studios and put out a paltry one vanilla movie a month with their agency handling all social media interaction. Yua, of course, is an exception who seemed to used the system to elevate herself to new levels whereas most actresses don’t seem to have that drive. And on the drive to go all out, the AiU, Kurea, Hibiki, Yui, and Aika types are rare. That entrepreneurial push may develop over time and more often than not, it may come too late in their careers to make it work. What we are seeing now are the talent that has that push to skip out of JAV completely and do a combination of FC2 work making major bank in cash in a short time and/or softcore porn/”creator” work as both give them a lot more power. (it’s more than possible the same softcore “creators” are moonlighting in FC2 with cutesy masks to partially cover their faces).

Adding physical objects with the site/company name is a cool idea. Props there from an anti-piracy/brand promotion standpoint. Agreed that temporary tattoos goes too far. As FC may have noted, the biggest issue with TAV remains a tiny talent pool with most female performers looking like they literally walked out of other adult-oriented jobs. No harm in them 'ripping off plots from JAV'; you gotta start somewhere and surely over time they will develop their own unique themes.

Just noticed how big Samoari's branding is on that cover. Ironic that the best JAV directors often go lightly or mostly uncredited. Maria probably will take most any work; she has a body type that now most decidedly is not in line with domestic user taste.

People making a decision to appear in adult video does not make them a bad person. The irony comes from those who criticize this choice while most likely benefiting from it in some way. Finding faults in others is simply a reflection of one’s own shortcomings.
