I can write a book (or at least a novella) on all the ways JAV studios can GREATLY LESSEN piracy, but elect not to due to ignorance, not wanting to hire competent IT staff, or even spend money on decent third-party anti-piracy services. What's more, most are too focused on getting their work on platforms that aside from junky DRM solutions, don't care if movies are pirated. The best example right now of a legit JAV studio doing part of it right is Faleno (and S-Cute being runner-up because the last time I checked at least, they were claiming all the pirated videos on a big tube site for their own channel rather than burying their heads in sand).

When it comes to financials, most studios say it's doom and gloom, but I think in reality, it's not as bad as claimed (though certainly nothing like the 2000's). When it comes to piracy at least, studios can only blame themselves for not adapting to the times and instead of coming up (or hiring someone to create) a capable anti-piracy prevention plan, bury their heads in the sand and try to carry on as if it was 2006.

Per being shot in one room, usually that's a big minus, but this is a soapland movie so you can't expect too much.
