BREAKING: Anri Okita Delists Nearly Her Entire Catalogue - Surprising But Not Shocking
In a surprising but not shocking turn of events Anri Okita has suddenly delisted almost her entire catalog. Delisting, for those that haven't been following that closely, is when an actress has her videos taken down from official distributors (in this case DMM and R18). We most notably saw this last year when Ai Uehara started delisting. Delisting has been a sort of good will gesture from the industry as they try to repair the public opinion that it's full of sketchy people doing sketchy things.
Anri still hangs out with all her old AV friends, including Ai Uehara
Typical industry standard has been for distributors to willingly take down videos (if requested) after 5 years of retirement. Anri's retirement video came out in May 2016, but typically videos take three or four months from filming to release. If we place her retirement video as a Feb 2016 film date then this is exactly five years. Anri would have still had to ask for them to do it but unlike with Ai Uehara it looks like she waited the appropriate amount of time. In hindsight I think we probably should have seen this coming.
Looking at what's left to her name it's rather barren. What was previously a little over 100 non-compilations has been reduced to just a handful of compilations and the following eight solo titles:
Just eight titles and the last two are softcore to boot. There's 31 titles in total counting up some compilations. Notably, two of them are Anri exclusive compilations, one of her works for Wanz Factory and another of her works for Moodyz. At 8 and 12 hours respectively, and at a price tag of $5 USD each, you simply can't go wrong with them. I know there's some great content on both collections, especially the Moodyz collection. The Moodyz collection has 5 of my personal top 10 favourites of hers along with another three honourable mentions, so I highly recommend it.
Those following Anri's career post-retirement have been in for a bit of a rollercoaster ride. She's gone all over the map from a singing career to having a daughter all the way to starting an Only Fans account where she regularly releases all sorts of naughty content. If you're wondering if her Only Fans has worthwhile content, let me just tell you now that it has some really spicy content and Anri's breasts are bigger than ever.
Anyway, if you've been following her in the last couple of months she even started a new Instagram account under a new alias, Hana Kagura as she attempted to have a fresh start. Anri Hana has been trying to make it as some sort of artist, which we've seen before from her YouTube channel. It's not surprising that she's doing that considering she originally was studying art before winding up in the porn industry. We already know it can be difficult to move past your old life, especially when it's a life of a porn star. Fellow retired AV star and friend Kaho Shibuya has been doing much the same, even starting a Twitch channel where she can be seen playing retro video games and discussing anime. Speaking of which, even Anri made a Twitch channel, although she rarely uses it.
Personally I would say I'm not all that shocked she did this. Being a mother now I imagine there's a big desire to remove traces of your past off the internet. One can only imagine what would happen at PTA meetings when you've got someone who has starred as the slutty teacher. On top of that it's probably easier to reinvent herself without that past looming over her especially if she goes all in on this Hana Kagura thing. It's not even clear what exactly she's trying to do, she even mentions wanting to be a fortune teller and I can only gasp at the thought of Anri reading my fortune using tarot cards. At the same time it's hard to imagine wanting to erase her Anri Okita when she has her Only Fans account. I can only assume she's making a boat load of cash doing it and it's probably the amount of cash she's making relative to other endeavors (like her singing career) that are prompting her to do it. Especially without any hardcore stuff on it maybe it's a bit of a compromise. Anyway, it's like she's trying to have her cake and eat it too and who knows how successful that will be. One thing's for sure though, I think we can count out any return to JAV.
If anyone's wondering, Anri Okita has been extremely popular over her career. From her debut in 2011 she made the top charts and from 2013 onwards she made the top charts every year until she retired. As a fan I'm not surprised at all, Anri Okita was truly one of the best actresses in town. Curvy and slim with a hot face, what's not to love? I would say it's a tad bit surprising that she never ranked a little higher than she did but Anri probably had more of a western appeal with that figure. It's not every day you see a Japanese woman with 105cm L-cup breasts after all.
If you're trying to get one last glimpse of Anri before she's gone for good, Panking's got you covered with his top 10 videos. Most notably, MIMK-044 is still available, and I would grab it while you still can. I would also personally recommend MIDE-324 among the few left, it's not quite top 10 material but it's not far behind and still a great video. Both downloads are under $10 USD and well worth it to make sure you have something to remember this amazing beauty before she's just a memory, though I would still recommend the compilations (especially since both titles above are in the Moodyz collection).
Looking to the future I wonder what the state of the industry is going to become. Anri is simply the latest among actresses to delist their titles and I wonder who else is going to do it. It wouldn't surprise me if Kaho Shibuya did the same when her five years comes around, which we still have a bit of time for given a 2018 retirement. If I were a fan of Kaho I'd be grabbing her content right now in case she pulls stuff a bit early. I'd tell you to go grab her video with Anri Okita as it would be perfect here but sadly it was among the videos delisted. There are probably a bunch of actresses looking at big names like Anri and Ai as paving the way for delisting things. If I were looking at other big names that left around the same time I'd look at Ayumi Shinoda who practically vanished overnight back in 2016. I've always wondered if we'd get to the point where the industry stopped allowing people to delist and the more it happens with big names the more I'm inclined to think they might. I'm just going to pray Yui Hatano doesn't delist her videos or else there might not be anything left!
Anyway, if you want to stay up to date on all things Anri be sure to check her out on Instagram and Twitter and also check back on ZENRA for more breaking news. Until next time!

Honestly I have no idea. It feels like she wanted to do some different things and felt like the Anri name was tied to porn. It does feel like she wants to change completely to Hana but I'm guessing the income she has from Anri is too significant to ignore. Just like Kaho Shibuya, she has built up a loyal following of users who know her by the name Anri so there's a huge incentive to keep using it. You can give it up and start again but it's hard to grow that following. Even though she advertised the Hana name on her Anri Instagram it has 7.7k followers compared to 1.1m so the discrepancy is huge.
I did one for the blog I was using before ZENRA, you can see it here: https://panpicks.com/index.php/2020/04/12/oppairas-spotlight-anri-okita/
