"I wanted to tell you something in advance so I posted this message here. I will officially retire as an AV actor after completing filming in December 2024. My retirement work is expected to be released in September 2025. In addition, I plan to officially announce my retirement on X (Twitter) and Instagram through a New Year's message on January 1, 2025" the actress stated.

Like most farewell speeches, this too had Ai expressing her gratitude to her loyal fans, acknowledging their unwavering support throughout her career. "I want to discuss my retirement news on public SNS. I originally planned to announce this at the beginning of the year, but wanted to share my feelings about the decision after I finished filming the retirement piece. This is perfect for those of you who are special fans. So thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation."

Moreover, this whole thing was planned out explained that her decision to retire earlier than originally planned was made in consultation with her management, allowing her to celebrate her 18th anniversary in the industry. "I debuted in April 2007, when I was only 18 years old. I originally planned to retire in April 2025, which coincided with my 18th anniversary. But after discussing with the team, the plan has been slightly adjusted. Delayed for several months. Therefore, I will be retiring at about the time of my 18th anniversary," she stated.

Part of the reason, why Ai chose to retire could be so that she has a lot on her plate right now. Just read what she had to say, "I did a good job! A saddening news indeed for the fans of the 45 year old, especially the ones in their 20s who love fantasizing bedding the actress at some point.

She affirmed in her retirement statement that she intends to release exclusive content for Madonna until the end of her career. "I will retire as an AV actress in March 2025 and will continue to release works exclusively for Madonna until the end. Due to my retirement, Cafe Bar Mariko, the holy land of Sata Mariko, will close at the end of February." However, her iconic establishment, Cafe Bar Mariko, will be closing its doors at the end of February.

Moreover she divulged some details over her possible events in the future, "There will be some final events such as movies and photo books until April, so I hope you will see her through to the end."

To commemorate her retirement, there will be a series of final events, including movie releases and photo book publications, scheduled to take place until April, so don’t forget to miss out on these events if you happen to be a fan.
