FANZA JAV Actress Rankings of 2024
Last year FANZA decided to move their big Actress Rankings to their magazines and now they are finally all out. Today we’ll be looking into their Actresses Rankings for 2024 for both the first and second half of the year.
Top % of the Top %
Unsurprisingly the top ladies consisted of stars like Saika Kawakita, Kana Morisawa, Karen Yuzuriha, Ichika Matsumoto, and Mio Ishikawa. All regulars in the Top 10 in the past couple of years. Meanwhile, we saw some high-ranking vets like Ririko Kinoshita, Mizuki Yayoi, and Yui Hatano. And also, some newer faces like the hyped-up debut Kiho Kanematsu a former gravure model and idol singer.
Yu Tano #4
Bursts on the Scene
2024 brought on a lot of promising talent for S1 like the aforementioned Kiho, the spunky Niko Kawagoe, and the doe-eyed Emika Shirakami. However, the biggest of them at the moment might be Yu Tano and I’m not just talking about her massive chest. Yu bursts onto the scene with a stellar showing in not just her videos but outside appearances such as at TRE. The rookie has slid right into the public facing job seamlessly, which is rare for rookies. Perhaps carrying that chest has prepared her for a life of attention.

From Matsumoto to Kuramoto:
Sumire Kuramoto #3&11 and Ichika Matsumoto #11&10
Now that Ichika Matsumoto has gone exclusive, the crown for the best Petite Freelancer goes to her good friend Sumire Kuramoto who surged to the Top 3 in the first half. Like many petites who are less than well-endowed, Sumire competes with enthusiastic performing, magnetic charisma, and work ethic. She dropped in tons of videos for2024 with many coming in the first half of the year. She recently got rid of her great big bush, so it will be seen if that affects her popularity at all.
As for Ichika, I expected her to drop way further down but there she is still hanging around the Top 10. Going exclusive hasn’t hurt her popularity much and her lowered output remains strong. That’s probably thanks to her special double exclusive deal that lets her release 2 or more titles a month. She is getting a lot of burn from her personal label MIH so going exclusive hasn’t slowed down the octopus-lipped cutie too much.
Rising Vets:
Waka Misono #2&4 and Mary Tachibana #7&15
We reap what we sow and for these two JAV veterans, life is looking pretty good. Waka Misono and Mary Tachibana have both been in the game for years with Mary at the 10-year mark with varying levels of success. They’ve made a career of it, which is more than most can say, but 2024 finally saw them in the public’s eye. Both ladies have become hot commodities in JAV with fans taking note. Waka starred in a Squid Game parody late last year which should give her a boost too. Looking at the pair from debut to now is like night and day. How far they have come.
Surprises after 30:
Kana Mito #13 and Nami Okimiya #8 and Ai Mukai #31
Speaking of older ladies getting their due later in life. Nami Okimiya and Kana Mito shocked me with their placements. One that they placed so high that they disappeared in the second-half rankings. Kana Mito continues to surprise me with her appeal to the general public. I love this cute, innocent-looking milf who isn’t very well-endowed and overacts in her scenes.
All of which made me think she was an acquired taste, however, she has done pretty well since debuting. With her placement in the first half being the highest I’ve ever seen her. Even more shocking was seeing Nami Okimiya who only started in the middle of 2023. It’s not often we see a rookie milf chart up so high and perhaps she got a boost by appearing in Madonna’s orgy special. Whatever the reason Nami is worth it as this “newbie” is a quality AV talent and hopefully not the last time we see her on the charts.
Then we have Ai Mukai, a reliable veteran actress who has been around for quite awhile now. She hasn’t been on these charts for some time after she went exclusive to Madonna and I don’t think that will change anytime soon as she is transferring to Attackers. While her output is much smaller and less varied, Ai’s titles have been great. She looks finer than ever with age and that body is still quite nice. She too may have gotten a boost for appearing in Madonna’s orgy.
Madonna Creeps Up
While we are on the topic of Madonna. I have spoken plenty about the growing Madonna Empire and how it’s taking over JAV and now that includes the sales charts. They usually chart just okay and rely more on their strength in numbers, however, these charts feature their roster quite a bit with about 20 of their mature ladies popping up on it. The Milf train just keeps heating up and that roster grows by the day with at some points reaching over 60 names. It seems that like with wine, Madonna is aging finer with time.

Name brand Dominance
Speaking of studio dominance, S1 continues to be the biggest name in town with their roster littered throughout the charts. Flaunting 12 names in the first half and a heavy 22 in the second half. While they are now known for their big-busted ladies, they offer a rather wide assortment of diversity. There’s the slender Saika, the mature Kiho Kanematsu and Saki Okuda, the thin Emika Shirakami, the short and dark-skinned Niko Kawagoe, and the tall leggy Mitsuha Ashitaba. S1: We have more than just big boobs…but we also have a ton of big boobs.

Not on the List
Sora Amakawa
Sora Amakawa doesn’t appear on the list and it is very understandable. It’s because she hardly worked at all in 2024. Barely any of her videos came out as a result of a behind the scenes dispute with her agency, who she accused of withholding payment. That despite her working on tons of videos, she saw little of it coming to her wallet. What a shame for many reasons as Sora was looking red hot in 2023 and 2024 should’ve continued that streak.
The other shame comes from the fact that this dispute seems to have effectively retired her from mainstream porn as Sora has recently shifted over to making her own amateur content. Once again, we have a bad agency to blame for screwing over talent and by extension fans. On the bright side, Sora seems happy doing her own thing with her female partner(?).
The Last Rodeo
For some of these actresses this will be their last time on the list. Well, at least as actively working actresses. These retired names include the muscular Chanyota, the veteran Azusa Misaki, and the boobiful Konan Koyoi. Future names retiring include Airi Kijima who is a fixture on these lists, and Aya Ueha. Konan’s retirement came as an especially shocking announcement. Barely 3 years into porn, becoming a red-hot name, and now out of the game. Retirements are a natural course in porn, no one stays forever.
The Hatano-ssance hits full swing:
Yui Hatano #21&6
Unless you are Yui Hatano that is. Yui is hot again in the streets and we are seeing it on the rankings. Not to say she isn’t hot as Yui is a regular name on these charts and usually charts pretty high, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen her this high at sixth. Rankings aside, her new heftier figure and renewed energy are making for stellar videos and have given her already long career a little jolt.
Why so low?
Akari Mitani #90
Sometimes I just don’t get it. Akari Mitani has been a great actress over her career and recently announced her retirement in advance. She has been dropping banger after banger recently including a fantastic and well-requested duo title with her best friend Aika Yamagishi. So why is she in the 90th and not even in the second half rankings? What does she need to do for you people? Dance?

Controversy sells?
Ai Hongo #76&24
Ai Hongo, a big star at S1, whose personal life came into the news with her affair and may have affected the rankings. In the first half, she was at 76, then jumped to 24 in the second half, which also coincides with her scandal in the second half of the year. Does controversy sell, who knows? Maybe we will see the same shift with Jun Suehiro in 2025…
Names to Look Out for
Now for some names to look out for now and in the future. There’s Alice Nanase who looks to follow in Mary and Waka’s steps as a veteran actress who gets her flowers later on in her career. We have Tsubomi Mochizuki who has been thriving since leaving S1. There’s the slim petite Uta Hibino and the cute-faced and big-assed Hikaru Minazuki. Both are underrated freelancers who are on the rise.
