FC’s Monthly JAV Watch: July 2024 – Yua Mikami, Nagi Hikaru, and Rena Miyashita
Drive Me Crazy
First on the July Watch list is no watch but a video game. A curious game popped up on Steam called Drive Me Crazy and caught my eye with Yua Mikami being advertised. A Chinese game which came out last month and was done by Studio wwqk and published by Tenth Art Studio. It stars Yua Mikami and a host of Chinese models. An FMV style that uses live action clips to play out the game. It has user choices, mini games, and relationship building. You play a man who is engaged to Yua but has lost his ring after a hazy night out. Now he must revisit some of his old girlfriends to find it while seeing if his heart still belongs to his fiancé or not.
This is flat out not a good game and arguably barely counts as a game either. Very simplistic minigames, limited choices, quite a few subtitle errors, and worst of all the “steamy” scenes are very chaste. It caught my eye with Yua and the FMV style gameplay which is rare nowadays. Curiously there is another game of this exact style coming out later starring Saika Kawakita and Ai Uehara. While Drive Me Crazy might look better than most JAV themed shovelware games this is a low bar. SKIP

Aya looks great but this is a more low budget low frills video. It gets a mention thanks to a fantastic final scene. However, if the idea of Blair Witch meets JAV intrigues you then look it up for found footage thrills. Meanwhile, a new series is taking shape with Madonna in JUQ-783.
