I met Kaho Shibuya at AVN!

Back in 2018 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo was once again happening at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (now closed but AVN is still happening at Resorts World Las Vegas ) and Kaho Shibuya was one of the talents attending! This time though, Kaho would not be attending with R18, as they had no booth in 2018, and she was going to AVN by herself! Although it would be by herself she did make friends with AVN vendors "It's the Bomb," a adult goods vendor, and she would be stationed at their booth where she would talk with fans, take photos with them, have photos taken of her, and sell her DVDS.

This was Kaho's first time attending an adult convention by herself, as she had, in the previous 2 years, attended with R18 at their booth. This was also the same year Kaho would retire from JAV, which she tweeted about in May 2018 and her retirement JAV was released in August 2018. While this wouldn't be her last adult convention, she was a guest at Adult-Con 2018 and H-Con 2018, this would be her last attendance at AVN (as of now).

So why was Kaho at AVN by herself and not with R18? Simply because she enjoyed herself at AVN and by going alone it also grants her the freedom to walk around AVN wherever and whenever she wanted. Of course she made sure the fans that came to see her would take priority before she enjoyed the AVN herself. Kaho would be there from opening to closing for each day she was there, talking with fans, taking pictures with them, selling her DVDS, autographing said DVDs, and even autographing goods or photos of her which fans brought to AVN for her to sign, including one fan who probably printed nearly 100 large printed photos of her from previous years at AVN and she signed them all! Fans love Kaho and Kaho loves her fans.

While I did not bring bring 100 photos for her to sign I did bring DVDs of hers to autograph which I had previously purchased in Japan to attend her fan events but didn't get them signed. As I can only get one item/DVD autographed at each event I attended, of which I purchased three DVDs to get all the benefits of each event, I had DVDs brought over to get them signed. I was very happy to get them signed and purchased a couple of her DVDs which I did not already have, of course I had them autographed as well. Kaho was pretty much the main reason for me to go to AVN and it was fun to talk to her, take pictures with her, and see her each day. She's one of the nicest people you can meet and it's a joy to meet her each day.

As fan events in Japan lets you talk to the actress for maybe five minutes at most each time and take pictures of her and with her with about 9000 yen of DVD purchases (let's use 100 yen to 1 USD, so 90 USD), to talk to her multiple times during AVN more than made up for the cost of attending AVN. Plus, you can take photos with her that you can't normally take at fan events, mainly how physically close you can be with her. Nothing explicit but you could hug her, which R18 did not allow, which I got to do that year, and I believe a couple people even carried her! I wish she would go again and I bet you would to!

When her line at her booth was non-existent for a while, Kaho took that time to recuperate, sit down (which is important when you're standing all day to meet with fans), drink water, eat food, and when she was ready she would walk around AVN. When you're walking around AVN you're going to encounter wall to wall adult goods, from dildos, butt plugs, to sex dolls. Kaho would come across many interesting adult paraphernalia and take pictures with them, like giant dildos. If you've never attended AVN or another adult convention you'll be surprised by what you come across. In previous years Kaho didn't get this freedom to walk around and take her time to visit the various vendors and shop around. When she was with R18 she would normally be either at their booth, resting in her hotel room, or meeting other adult talents who came to AVN.

Now that Kaho had more leisure time she also used that time to meet with various talents again, but on her own time. She used that time to talk with them, take pictures with them, and generally having a good time. Do you recognize the talent she's photoed with? As you may know, while Kaho is 100% Japanese and born and raised in Japan she is also fluent in English. In fact she scored the maximum number of points, 990, on "The Test of English for International Communication" or TOEIC. So Kaho had no problem talking with the other talents in English. I see fans make comments about how surprised they are by her English fluency, which is understandable, though by now it should be common knowledge since she's a Twitch streamer where she talks in English and Japanese.

As you probably already known and seen, Kaho is known for her big breasts which is one of her biggest appeals in JAV, literally. In the US one of the most famous places for a gathering of big breasts is Hooters, a restaurant which serves saucy chicken wings by waitresses with larger busts wearing tight cleavage revealing tops and small tight shorts. So it's no surprise she went there to eat one night at Hooters Las Vegas restaurant, which she enjoyed. She also wore quite the revealing dress that night.

So what do you think Kaho wore the next day at AVN? She went to the Hooters store the previous night and bought her own set of Hooters clothing!

Will Kaho return to AVN, my gut feeling says no. As she has moved on from the adult industry and is now a Twitch streamer, cosplayer, and a known name in the anime world by attending anime conventions and doing collaborations/work with others in the anime industry I doubt she will return to AVN. Do I have hope she would return? Yes, I do hope she does. Until then, if you want to see Kaho in person you'll likely find her going to anime conventions in the US for now.
