Madonna Onboards Akari Tsumugi

The studio known for its mature woman themed JAVs, Madonna, has been on a shopping spree lately. Take Rio Kuriyama, for instance, the petite frame cutie who switched from Ideapocket to Madonna earlier this year, as an example. Seems as if they aren't stopping anytime soon, JAV's top makers seems to be spinning the wheel once more with another of Rio's colleagues from her former studio. A senior of Rio's at Ideapocket is about to follow in her footsteps, according to a news announcement Madonna made on Twitter.

In the tweet addressed to fans, the Madonna handle mentioned 電擊移籍, which literally translates to 'surprise transfer' in kanji. The adult performer this column purports to is the 22-year-old Akari Tsumugi, an actress who made her acting debut in 2018 under the Ideapocket banner and has since released an average of 11 films a year as part of a joint venture with Ideapocket and Attackers. However, the 22-year-old's focus on teacher-themed JAVs under the Ideapocket brand seems to have propelled her entry into the mainstream JAV scene, and she made viewers drool with her ever-so-glowing charm.

How on earth could you possibly turn down a teacher like that? Despite the jokes, there is a lot of conjecture about how she would be typecast into the mature-centric roles that Madonna is famous for, as well as what series would require an actress like her to fit the narrative. However, as the saying goes, "things are a-changing," and recently, a number of adjustments have been made to the way one of the leading JAV studio conducts business. Madonna may wish to modify the perception that it is a mature creator by casting more coming of age actresses, but whether or not it's followers will embrace this move is something to watch out for.

However, the producers issued an unexpected announcement on their Twitter without Akari's knowledge, which the actress later confirmed by retweeting the announcement. Going forward, it will be clear that Madonna and the 22-year-old were able to work out a deal on paper, but fans on the adult board speculated about whether the IPX-937 star actually left her previous studio as tweets with an Ideapocket cover were circulating, claiming that she was still an Ideapocket exclusive and had a release scheduled with the studio. It is, therefore, too soon to tell whether the actress will work with Madonna full-time or if this is just a one-time thing. An even stranger hypothesis is that she may choose to pursue a double exclusive contract between the studios, something that most actresses have already tried and is nothing new, and as her past is witness Akari herself isn't new to this having filmed JAVs for both Attackers and Ideapocket, earlier. Although the actress has yet to make an official statement, it is only reasonable to think that her releases may quadruple after joining Madonna. Only time will tell.

Momo Aoki Chooses GG Over Former Agency

Moving ahead with the column we've Momo Aoki. For SOD's small time actress, having hit a rough patch in her career in the recent months, a resurgence was long overdue and if the recent reports are to be believed, Momo is headed for a new league in her career. The 21 year old swimmer turned adult performer from Kanagawa had her fans startled when her Twitter went radio silent earlier on May 31st. What added fuel to the fire was a cryptic update on her Tiktok that mentioned Momo as a 'former actress'.

 A recent breakout story that surfaced on her Twitter may have left the followers heaving a sigh of relief after having to do so for almost a quarter. In a statement, the SOD Exclusive actress announced that she had left her previous agency, Dino, in favor of the renowned talent agency GG, which has a sizable portfolio of some of industry's top assets. "Nice to meet you, and for those of you who know me, I'm Serina Asahi. I used to work as a company, but this time I changed my name and transferred my office to GG. I will do my best with a fresh start, so please support me", she wrote in her testimony as an actress. SOD had earlier this year begun teasing the actress and had succeeded in creating a buzz around the former swimmer's foray into the adult industry.

What started off as a run-of-the-mill experiment, lasted for almost a year with the befitting pair of two churning out some hardcore swimmer fanatic releases, one of which was VR JAV, a personal favorite of mine. But as they say all good things come to an end, so does the relationship of the actor and studio. With Momo packing her bags as she ran out of contract with the makers and had managed to stay low key subsequently, much to the  dilemma of anxious fans until finally reappearing earlier this month. Much of what has been said about SOD and the rumors pertaining to the ill treatment of actresses after a couple of releases in the contract are to an extent true. However, with Momo, it doesn't appear that this was the case; rather, she left voluntarily on her own accord as her contract neared an end.

Now, months later, Momo appears to be truly keen to return to the industry, to the point where she was able to legally alter her identity to Serina Asahi. But I do hope that she is aware that, contrary to Momo's wishes, actresses are striving to leave the profession because of the stringent law, which has plagued the industry in recent times. The main objective is to survive in the current environment, and if she has chosen to transfer to GG, there may be an underlying intention to really make a comeback until we figure out how things turn out for her. Whether she succeeds or not is a debate for another day.

But it's the lower tier actresses who suffer the most, turning to illegal doujin AVs, which is embedded as the root of all evil that initially caused this chaos. I suppose as fans we should give Momo a space to consider her options and thrive on her decision. On the other hand, a large studio like SOD has barely taken a hit with a newcomer leaving within a year. They are more than acquired to be susceptible to that. Her most recent studio project, in which Momo appears in a cuckold drama, was earlier launched this month.

Mao Hamasaki Suspends Further AV Activities

Mao Hamasaki had her fans startled with a simple tweak on her bio which to this day has been updated to closed. Neither her agency nor Mao clarified her stance on the same giving fans a similar glimpse of horror as of Ruka Inaba. The latter who in a similar fashion pulled the plug on her AV career earlier this month after an eight month hiatus, for those not aware. Whether the 28 year olds sudden departure from the industry will have a similar implication on fans is not yet clear and for a fact too early to judge. The adult performer turned DJ took the event of her 10th anniversary as an opportunity to make the announcement regarding her future in the business.

In an earlier statement made on Twitter, Mao stated, "Today was the last event of the year! Talking, playing games with everyone. Looking back on 10 years  It was fun to take  2022 was a year where we had a lot of events and met a lot of people! The next time we meet will be in 2023, but please wait for Mao-chan's return. Come and show me your energetic face again" attached to the tweet are a set of pics from the anniversary celebration which the actress claimed as her final event for the year before she progressed on a hiatus for the rest of the year suspending all AV activities. However, Mao remained vague on her position on ceasing her DJ duties, which I assume are still intended to be performed by the actress turned DJ given that she has become well-known for doing so in recent years and would probably prefer to play it safe.

It's safe to assume she won't be leaving anytime soon because at the time this column was written, her most recent Instagram post appeared to be an announcement for a DJ gig in Shinjuku. Mao's DJ gigs are certainly an extended outlet for fans to meet the AV actress. As far as I recall, the Kanagawa based actress only had a handful of releases this year, few of which could be counted on a finger. There is no denying, however, that she was quite busy due to activities, pertaining to fan meet & greets

In response to MAX-A's tweet pertaining to her 10th anniversary, Mao tweeted a video message that read, "It was the last MAX-A before the holidays, so I felt lonely when Mao-chan said "Happy New Year"  But  we promised to work together again next year, so please look forward to it" with whom surprisingly, she'd managed to work out the first event of the year and who were also the brains behind her final event of the year. I'd admit, much to my astonishment, Mao had quite subtly managed to get her 10th anniversary event to turn out to be a huge success despite not having garnered attention from the JAV circles. Frankly, if she hadn't posted it I wouldn't have known.

Since she became a DJ, the actress has been observed to take such brief breaks every single year, which may help her manage time between balancing out both gigs rather than operating on a jam-packed schedule and overburdening oneself. Fans who are considering her retirement can rest assured based on her prior track record. For instance, last year the actress took a similar break and put a halt to all of her AV appearances until she made a comeback.

Although Mao didn't mention a potential reason for the break, unlike Ruka Inaba or Nanami Ogura, who we previously mentioned, it's quite likely that a break like this was long overdue given that the actress, who made her debut back in 2012, had a long ten year run with what followed was a stable trajectory of rising through the ranks, switching studios, and discovering her newly discovered passion for DJ-ing. It's obvious that AV actresses are humans contrary to popular belief and are prone to fatigue or may lose interest pursuing a  certain act for a long time, which seems quite obvious in Mao's case or it could hint to a broader reason pertaining to the law. Nao Jinguji Celebrates Five Years In The Industry

Nao Jinguji deserves special attention for her recent career-defining accomplishment as we come to a close. As she celebrated her fifth anniversary on Thursday, the 25-year-old actress is quickly approaching the status of a senior in the adult industry. The actress thanked the fans for their unwavering support in a statement, "It's been 5 years since my debut. Feeling full of fun, joy, frustration and pain I've been thinking about quitting. We have reached the 5th year! Thank you for always. As usual, even if you don't have a dream for the future, go at your own pace and stick your chest out! Thank you for your continued support" that was posted on Twitter and reflected on her career so far. To lighten the mood, the 25-year-old surprised the audience by making hints about a potential retirement. Considering she'd a queer tone regarding the matter, it's a possibility that she didn't mean it, bashing rumors pertaining to the same. 

What mad lad on earth would like to see an absolute beauty like Nao retire? Nevertheless, having wrapped up her quota with MIDV-212 on releases for this month, Nao had more in store for her beloved fans. The actress who seems like an absolute succubus with her oral skills in the new Moodyz release will have you bowled over with her latest photobook that she shot under the label Gimme!. She looks jaw-droppingly gorgeous in the photoshoot for a fact and wait that is not all! Nao recently wrapped up a shooting schedule on her upcoming calendar as she teased a couple shots from the release event and I'll tell you what, it's hard to resist a boner seeing glimpses of the same.

The fact that Nao has been able to shed her old skin and transform from a petite nerd when she made her debut back in 2017 to now becoming an absolute succubus of a lady rolling out work twice a month with two of the most renowned studios in the industry is for a fact an impressive accomplishment. Given that she appears to be in the appropriate frame of mind, I think the actress is aware of this. Unlike other performers, I haven't heard Nao discuss her concerns with personal trauma very often. Contrary to her outward image as the kind, innocent girl next door, it shows her temperament as a strong-willed woman.

Nao has recently been contemplating the possibility of an avenue other than mainstream JAV. Whether the Moodyz exclusive pursues this as a post-AV career is an afterthought, but concurrently the actress seems to be quite smitten with her newfound love. She has been repeatedly spotted lending her voice to some musical gigs at some renowned nightclubs throughout Tokyo. Unlike other actresses, Nao has stayed with the studio she chose to make her acting debut with, subsequently switching to exclusively work with Moodyz as her career developed.

The actress is clearly channeling her energies right now on creating the finest JAVs for both studios. There isn't much more to ask for at this point than for her followers to be treated to her JAVs several times a month, regardless of whether she actually decides to make what she stated on a lighter note a reality or not.
