Hey everyone, Oppaira back again with another sales report. It looks like a bunch of you enjoyed last month's report and I hope you enjoy this month's as well. Let's jump right into it.

Top Actresses

Like last month this month has a lot of debuts on the physical sales chart. It's not surprising that we would see debuts up there when you think about physical sales and how they're promoted. Nozomi Ishihara still remains the top debut actress, this month jumping to first place. I can't say that I'm personally interested in checking her out but if she continues to top the charts like this for a few months maybe I'll have to rethink that. It's also not that surprising seeing her at the top given the S1 cast of Yua, Rara, and Arina drop without any special S1 sales this month. Other than that we continue to see a few of the same debut names on the list including Yume Nikaido and Ibuki Aoi. I'm glad to see Mahina Amane jump up a lot as she's a debut I'm excited to check out. If you haven't seen my other posts this is a good time to mention I'll be reviewing debuts later on in the year. As part of my New To Me series I'll be reviewing 21 debuts starting in about three months. I think this year since I'm following the sales quite closely I'll likely be putting more of an emphasis on checking out the names doing well.

Interestingly, we see Melody Hina Marks still way up there with only a slight dip, and she still has videos coming out. It'll be interesting to see how she fares as her videos stop coming out, especially compared to June Lovejoy who sits lower in the top 50 right now. I maintained last time I expect June to do better long term so I think once Melody no longer has videos ready we'll see her drop on the charts quite quickly.

The most interesting is probably actually Riri Nanatsumori. Riri's debut video hasn't even come out yet and yet she's at the top of the list! Hell, she even has over 100k followers on Twitter already. This is thanks to her being a small-time celebrity prior to jumping into porn. She starred in this Sega commercial a few years back and I've heard she's done a few things here and there. She's also joined at the top of the list by fellow celebrity Miu Nakamura, who was a non-pornographic actress prior to making her JAV debut. While Miu doesn't produce a lot of content (only a dozen videos in the span of three years) her fame makes her always sell insanely well. Unsurprisingly she has a release this month for S1 which I'm sure is why jumped up quite a few spots.

With digital trends over in Japan we don't see a lot of changes. The majority of actresses on the list were there last month as well. Interestingly we see Mia Nanasawa rise to the top. If I had to guess why it would be her Moodyz compilation that really propelled her there. Even still, everyone in the top 25 for digital was in the top 100 last year so no major changes.

People who read my post last month will remember me mentioning Eimi Fukada doing poorly. While 7th place still isn't bad by any stretch for Eimi it marks a third straight month she's been outside of the top five after quite consistently placing there. Maybe people are getting over the initial fad of Eimi? I'm personally not a huge fan of her heavy plastic look but the industry has much different thoughts about her. I would not be surprised to see her miss out on a top five spot yet again, but a couple of compilations could easily push her numbers.

Internationally we also don't see a ton of change. Yui is once again on top, really not that surprising when she's in the running for greatest of all time. The only two big shifts internationally are China Matsuoka and Mana Sakura. China Matsuoka has always been a bit of an enigma, she unfortunately had to abruptly retire at the height of her career. She has a pretty loyal following among fans and is always a dark horse to randomly top a chart. Mana, on the other hand, we definitely know why. July saw Mana's 100th adult video get released. There was a bit of buzz around whether she'd continue or not after that landmark (she is as I've been told) and with the big production that it was it was the perfect storm for her to jump up the charts.

Top Videos

As expected we see Riri and Miu both have DVDs in the top 10. As I mentioned last time, DMM allows for preorders so this explains both of them doing this well. We also see Mahina's video way up there and I don't blame anyone with how amazing that cover looks. If I wasn't already interested in watching her that cover is really doing wonders. While I do seriously want to check out her best work when I watch her that cover might do me in. Speaking of debuts, E-Body has a couple of bangers this month in EBOD-759 starring Tomoko Kamisaka and EBOD-757 starring Riina Asuka. Both of them have such amazing breasts and I can't wait to see them in action. I must admit that I didn't expect 2020 to be this good for debuts considering what's going on but I think the exact opposite is what happened. If I was guessing I'd say that more people are entering it for the easy money in these difficult times.

The R18 video sales have by far the most interesting results. First off we see Beauty Venus 7 at the top followed closely by Beauty Venus 5. For those that don't know, Beauty Venus is a series that involves a collaboration between multiple studios. Idea Pocket and S1 team up with a third studio and do an FFFM video. What's always special about these is how the actresses are not only breaking through the exclusivity they normally do but also engage in quite a bit of lesbian action. While I've only seen BV5 from the series it's easily one of my all-time favourite videos. In fact, I had people recommend it to me long before I actually saw it and I admit that I regret not watching it sooner. I've heard some good things about BV7 and I'll probably be checking it out, but I would highly recommend BV5 if you've never seen any of them. Hell, I would recommend it vacuously, it's really just that good.

In 7th place we see a Maria Nagai BBC video. Curiously Maria has a much newer BBC video but this older one is the one on the list. Perhaps even more curious is the fact we've got a year old video on the list. Fortunately I'm pretty sure I know why it's here. Maria has taken up OnlyFans recently and that content has been, like her ass, out of this world. The spiciest of them all is uncensored BBC. I'll let that sink in for a moment. While I believe you have to pay extra for that content it definitely makes people want to watch her, I know I went and watched her more recent BBC (I had already seen the older one). Maria may be on a break right now from JAV but my word she's doing some amazing stuff on her OnlyFans.

There's also Yuri Honma in KATU-067 doing well once again. Yuri has been doing quite well for herself this year and I'm really glad to see this trend continue. Yes, Katsuo Bussan (the studio that made the video) is known for photoshopping covers like no tomorrow but Yuri is still quite nice. I've been really digging her more mature look and I've been making a point to watch more and more of her videos. I can only hope this wonderful year keeps up for her.

Lastly we see Momo Sakura's VR in 10th place. What makes this one interesting is that it's a year old and yet, like Maria's video, it's in the top 10. The only thing I can think of is that I wrote a review last month for it. It's probably just a coincidence but I'll let you decide
