Hey everyone, welcome to this month's sales report. Before getting into it I've got a couple of things to talk about.

Firstly, 2021 debut actress reviews have started! I'm doing them in a new format this year where each actress gets their own post, so they're a lot more in-depth with all sorts of nice pictures and clips to highlight them. If you're interested in checking them out, you can see them all from my profile. There's also still room for a few more debuts, so if there's someone in particular you're interested in seeing me write about, be sure to drop a name in the comments.

The second is that I've added a cool little secret to these sales posts. While the main post will still only show the top 25 and top 10 for actresses and videos respectively, if you click on the infographics you'll be presented with one showing the top 100. You can see one of the top 100 ones here. I'm still going to focus on the info in the top 25 but for those who are curious to find out more, that info is there for you. I hope you find the larger charts interesting to comb through and I plan to make this a normal feature in all of my sales reports going forward.

With those two things out of the way let's jump into this month's report.

Top Actresses

Aka's up quite a few spots this month. We can see it's her release linked above that was pretty popular, even if it looks pretty lame. Aka's been steadily improving and I've personally been enjoying her quite a bit, but low effort videos like this one (premised around swapping saliva) don't inspire any confidence. I've even heard it's pretty bad and I would have guessed the same. I like to compare Aka and Rara a lot since they both fill that similar niche of super busty working for S1, so I think most months you'll want to compare and pick the better release from the pair. With Rara's having a much nicer plot I'd far sooner watch that, and you can read a bit more about Rara this month further down the list.

Minami is always a wild card to do well, she's insanely popular with a loyal enough fanbase, but not all of her videos turn out that well. What's interesting is that this video is almost exactly the same premise as the video above from Aka. I don't know what it is but I guess people like this theme. If I had to pick one, I'd far sooner pick Minami as she's a better performer and could probably elevate a low effort video a lot better. That being said, I expect neither to be particularly good and I guess it just goes to show you how much fans like Minami in general.

Mahina is a pretty surprising name on the list, she doesn't have the success a lot of other major names at S1 do and she's all the way down in 74th place with her new physical release. There's nearly two dozen S1 releases above hers so it's pretty surprising to see her way up the list. That just kind of goes to show you how big of a player S1 is. In fact, if you look at the whole DVD sales list, a third of the list is S1 actresses. I don't know about you but there must be something in the water over at their studios. Somehow they just always remain the undisputed kings, especially when they have so many actresses at the top. What's even crazier is that so many of their big names left recently to go to Faleno (Moe Amatsuka is 25th on this list, Arina Hashimoto 23rd on the list below) and it didn't even phase them. Anyway, getting back on track Mahina's video doesn't look more interesting than a nice cover shot, but hey, tits sells, right? We saw that with Aka above and see that every month with Rara, so I guess the winning strategy is just make a nice cover and let the penis decide instead of the brain.

Riho is an actress I think is quite a bit underrated. She's very reminiscent of someone like Yuri Oshikawa: short hair, big tits, nice ass, working for whatever studio offers her a video. Those B-tier actresses aren't always at the top of the charts but they're actresses that can show up every now and again. This month's big release from her is a VR, which I guess is the perfect kind of thing for someone who's got a nice body. I find that actresses with nice bodies like hers are better to enjoy in VR because all the plot and production quality largely go away in favour of a more visceral attraction. I mean, how do you not want a piece of that? 

Like Mahina Amane in the section before, another lesser S1 star is up on the charts this month, Miharu Usa. Miharu is pretty nice and definitely someone I've been meaning to watch more of for a long time. Anyway, her most popular release this month is a compilation of 15 of her videos. While it's only about 30 minutes per release based on the runtime, I can totally see that being extremely hot. Especially with some of the screens... yes, please. I'm here to act as your public service announcer that the laundromat scene is, in fact, very nice. Anyway, I do often find that a video has one or two good scenes and the rest are pretty mediocre, so if you take just the best scenes then you can easily whip together something fantastic. Sure, you lose out on the narrative, but sometimes you don't really want a narrative and this can be a much better approach. The video is actually a year old, which is good for those that aren't already fans of Miharu. The week rental on R18 is just three dollars, so even if you find you don't like her all that much (and that would be surprising), at least it it's cheap.

Ichika is definitely an actress I don't talk all that much about, I haven't seen her and she isn't particularly my type. That being said, holy does that cover look nice. People keep telling me her ass is the real deal and covers like this certainly make the case. They also keep telling me to watch her and one of these days it'll probably happen. At any rate, being top 10 on all three lists simultaneously is impressive, especially given the different preferences for each list. The only other actress who's top 10 on each is Yua Mikami, and everyone knows how popular Yua is. As my friends would put it, how can you not want to watch that ass? I'm almost inclined to agree with them and I'm betting a bunch of the readers are as well.

Like I mentioned last month, Yua's sales were down because of the awkward timing of her release. It's just the way things go sometimes and I was pretty sure we'd see her back up at the top this month. She's up a ton on every chart and even first place over at R18. Her release was also the second best selling video so it's not surprising she's right up at the top. I personally don't think it's anything special but hey, Yua fans are pretty die hard and I won't argue with them. What's impressive about Yua is just how dominant she was across R18 sales. Looking at the top 100 videos, she placed: 2nd, 6th, 8th, 17th, 20th, 27th, 40th, 62nd, 67th, 87th, and 92nd. That's a whopping 10+ videos on the list (assuming I got them all, someone might want to double check my work), which is pretty ridiculous. Obviously having three videos in the top 10 is a big reason why but every little bit helps.

Eimi is another actress I don't spend a lot of time talking about. Some of that is due to my own preferences (and I'm not a fan), and part of it is due to Eimi being at the top all the time. That being said, it's nice to give her some love every once in a while, and why not with a 4K release. 4K is slowly becoming more and more popular in the JAV industry, something fans have been telling them to do for a while now. It's not just for VR now but it's still rare enough that they do stand out when you get them. Even S1 only has a couple dozen videos and they're the top studio. It's interesting that many lesser studios lead the charge here, like AVS Collector's, Center Village, and Dogma. I don't know about you guys but 4K seems a bit overhyped to me, and I can't imagine it mattering that much if you're watching on your phone. I'm sure I'll change my opinion the second Hitomi has a 4K release. At any rate, this is just Eimi's third 4K video and for the biggest studio she's had one release to date. Considering some others (like Yui Hatano) have over a dozen 4K releases to their name, I guess Eimi third is a pretty big deal. If you're a fan of Eimi you won't want to miss her in all of the glory that is 4K.

I've heard really good things about Tsukasa this year from friends, they say she's in her prime right now and doing some good work. In fact, one such friend of mine said her October release is one of the best POV he's seen in a while and that Tsukasa is a "mature woman who oozes sensuality". I don't know about you but that sounds fantastic to me. Her latest is currently listed as 76th on our chart with Tsukasa up all the way to 8th place. I personally find Tsukasa gets outshined by her fellow studio actresses half the time but with compliments like that from the community it's probably high time she got the recognition she deserves.

Top Videos

Another month another Rara video on top. Sometimes I wonder if the videos only top the charts because of the covers. Living with Rara (your girlfriend) is an easy enough concept to sell. They can tailor the trailer or stills to really point out how nice Rara is, both physically or with some vibrant smiles. The title literally says "And Her Godly Tits" and I wholeheartedly agree, easily a contender for best tits in town. That probably won't change Rara is going to do as Rara does, but hey, just the little bit of optimism I have is probably enough. I find the videos that lack a proper plot/theme too awful to watch from Rara, but a theme like this is just enough. Especially with what looks like a POV focus, I can get down with that. Consider it cautious optimism from me but she's so nice and the potential is always there.

Last month Mio Ishikawa placed at the top of our debuts and this month her second release is also at the top of the charts. That's a pretty good sign for her that people are sticking around. Like the last video it's a pretty bland video but people sure do love their debuts. She's got that nice girl nextdoor look to her that is quite appealing to many of us, so I can see where people are coming from. Her third video is announced and it looks like it's got a bit of a date theme, not that I think that will amount to much when it comes down to it. I'll be watching to see if she can maintain this success in future months.

I think we've mentioned this before but this is Shouko's creampie debut. It's crazy to think that it took her five years to do it, especially given she was at a studio like Moodyz that does all manner of creampie stuff. Even crazier when you figure that it's almost certainly faked the way pretty much all creampies are these days. To think she could hold out for so long is mindboggling. At least now that she's done it they'll probably make bank with it, on the top of the DMM and R18 charts this month and I wouldn't be surprised to see it stay up on the charts for a while. I can't say it will be great, it's probably pretty lame as a video, but at least it opens the gates for some more interesting content next year.

We've been seeing a lot of compilation videos top the charts these past few months, unsurprisingly. I think when there are so many good actresses to pick from it's easy to go the bang for your buck route. The video was as low as $4.45 USD on sale for a streaming rental of over 2000 minutes of action. That's pretty good value, the math works out to 8 hours per dollar. Now, you might not want to go that route with 40 hours of content (good luck watching that in a week) but even at the regular price (which is about 3.5x more expensive) it's still really good value. There's tons of great collections in here featuring actresses like Kurea Hasumi, Yu Shinoda, Ruka Inaba, Nanami Matsumoto, Yuria Yoshine, Arisa Hanyuu, and many more. Yeah, I won't sugar coat it and say the content will be good, it'll be average at best knowing that it's from some B-tier studios and not S1. But sometimes you don't need top tier quality content, and your wallet will definitely thank you.

Miyu Inamori is our top debut here and also 5th on the physical sales charts. What can I say, Idea Pocket has a pretty loyal following and does pretty well for themselves. I think compared to usual, this release is a bit different since it has a real swimsuit theme to it. Not just a simple "hey she should wear one" or a bikini or something but the screenshots actually show her clad in a one-piece in one of the scenes. Feels like to me that's enough of a tipping point for people, not that people seem to need a reason to watch debuts. At the same time, swimsuits like this also mask her body so it's hard to tell what she really does look like, which I guess helps the case a bit because people will speculate and hope for the best. Either way she topped our charts and is someone to keep an eye out for.

Interestingly we see the two actresses from last time, Mian and Riko, on the list again. What makes it so interesting isn't that they made the list but that it shows that they increased. I don't know if people noticed but the results show they weren't in the top 10 last time. That's because the entries that were on last list were actually the Blu-Ray versions of their releases (noted by the BD in the ID). If you look at the full list, both of them are down but still in the top 20. I'm guessing probably what happened is a bunch of people bought the more expensive BR release first and then those that were interested after the initial rush bought the cheaper DVDs. It's a few dollars less for the DVD version, enough that I think many people would think twice about it. Either way, the fact both of them have a BR and standard release in a top 25 spot bodes well for them and perhaps we'll have to reconsider watching them next year.

S1 actresses can vary pretty wildly, from the super busty like Rara Anzai up at J cup down to actresses like Sayaka Otoshiro at a C cup. It always makes me really excited when S1 has some bustier debuts, especially when they've had a number of them in the last year or two. It's no longer jus the Rara show, we've got actresses like Konan Koyoi, Aka Asuka, Kaoru Yasui, and now Ria Yamate. Ria is listed as 99cm I cup, which sounds absolutely wonderful to me. That would put her at slightly larger than Konan and slightly smaller than Rara, and that excites me. I'm sure there's always some photoshop going on in the stills they provide but they certainly look nice and big. Plus, she seems quite pretty on top of that, a killer combination. In fact, her face reminds me of Aoi, a former S1 actress I'm sure fans will remember (she's currently working for Faleno under the name Yuko Ono). This is one of the few times I'm sad that I won't be checking a debut out for my New To Me series, since she debuted too late in the year, but I absolutely will be following along and she'll be high up on the list when it comes to viewing some more debuts next year.

Mirai Asumi is the third of this month's major debuts. I found it quite interesting that the top three spots were from three different actresses, then spots 4-6 were the same actresses (just swapping between their standard DVD and BR release). That's not something we typically see, I know last month we had five different debuts in the top six, four different debuts in August, and five in July (in fact, July had 9 different debuts on the list). Furthermore the top 10 debut videos only comprise three different studios. Wild. At any rate, Mirai is listed as having some lovely G cup boobs and her body looks pretty great in the stills. She reminds me a lot of her fellow studio actress Aoi Tsubasa with that body of hers. I found myself enjoying Aoi and who knows, if Mirai is anything like Aoi then we might be in for a treat. As a side note, can we talk about how amazing these production stills are? It's not just a single photo, they made a collage and it looks fantastic. Moodyz, keep it up, other studios, pay attention!

In first we have a recent compilation release of Kaho Shibuya works. Holy moly is this compilation great, 16 hours featuring 8 full-length releases from her. I mean just look at that cover image, wowzers. I might be a bit biased because Kaho is one of my all-time favourite actresses, but I think she's got a couple of big reasons why front and center on that cover. Anyway, there are some really good videos among them, I would personally recommend the two I linked above that are part of this compilation. Even though Kaho's been retired for a while now, I think her presence on Twitch has helped fans keep her close to heart, and it's not surprising at all her compilation made the top of the list this month. If you need something more than Twitch to squeeze your hog to, this is it.

In fourth place we have Hitomi's latest. The plot is a bit crazy with her playing a rabbit turned human, but let's be real, all that matters is Hitomi in a bunny suit. It's hot and I absolutely agree with Panking's review. If you're a fan of Hitomi this is one of her better videos in a while. Hitomi's performance is a bit all over the place, sometimes more submissive but sometimes more dominant, but even some dominant is a step up from some of her recent stuff. I figure that it's got a bit for everyone, assuming you like the bunny suits (and I'll just assume you do because who doesn't). If you only watch one Hitomi video from this year, definitely pick this one.
