Founded in early 2002 Prestige has become a major porn maker in the JAV industry. For some fans Prestige is just a studio but they are actually so much more than that. They are a media conglomerate with many studios underneath them and owners of MGSTAGE, Prestige’s very own storefront. They sell merchandise, Hentai, and they have even gotten into Apparel. A competitor to the other makers in JAV including Soft on Demand and Fanza / DMM. They made waves in 2021 when they announced that they would no longer be selling their videos in FANZA. A move spurred on by unequal profit cuts with Prestige wanting more of their fair share. However it would be a short lived move with them quietly returning to the rival storefront some time later. While perhaps not quite as big as those juggernauts this maker has carved out their own niche through two decades of business.
They might be more than a studio but really Prestige is still in the business of making porn. When they first started out they had a variety of labels with no real cohesive vision. Mainly vanilla amateur / gonzo style videos and odder restraint BDSM like stuff. It wouldn’t be until the emergence of their label Absolute that Prestige struck gold and developed the style they are known for today. It's their leading Prestige studio for many JAV fans and the face of their brand. Fans will use Prestige and Absolute interchangeably but Prestige is the head maker while Absolute is just a label. However the branding is so strong so fans use Prestige when they really are talking about just Absolute and even Prestige has melded the two together. So when we talk about Prestige nine times out of ten we are talking about Absolute.
In the past Prestige could count on the busty and curvy figures of actresses like Shunka Ayami, Kirara Asuka, or Mion Sonoda. But with the loss of these talents to rival studios or retirements they have shifted a bit towards the less well-endowed. Looking at their exclusive roster in Absolute, it is clear that they have a new type. To go with that Modern day Prestige has definitely developed a distinct style of videos to highlight their favored actresses. Today they favor more petite women with slim, slender, or downright skinny bodies with more conservative hairstyles. The studio isn’t afraid of featuring women with smaller breasts or less than curvy figures, in fact they welcome in them. In the past Prestige has been home to some big names like Kirara Asuka, Kaede Fuyutsuki, Rola Misaki, and Mion Sonoda with the biggest name in their history being Shunka Ayami. Kirara might be the most popular actress overall but she is more known for her S1 days while Shunka really built up her popularity while within Prestige. She was their superstar for a while until her defection to S1 later which was a big for them. A great actress with a toothy smile, she’s known for her slender body, ample perky breasts, and easy curves. Virgin Popping Series & Prestige Amateur / Gonzo Labels
A relatively newer series from their Kanbi label. Prestige has other labels for newbies but this one is made in mind for their more mature and older new debuts. A good match for milf fans. Compared to the other mainstream studios, Prestige is not as flashy or big. Their productions aren’t as large nor do they have the most well-endowed ladies around.
