Alright everyone we're back for the final seven 2020 debuts. It's been an interesting year to say the least, but I'm at least glad that the JAV industry hasn't really suffered from it. There was a temporary shutdown earlier this year but at the same time we got a few actresses coming out of retirement for the consistent source of cash, including names like Chitose Saegusa and Asahi Mizuno. Anyway, let's get into this set of debuts. Make sure to stick around for the end where I go over my favourites in some different categories.

Mahina Amane

Mahina has been someone I've been keeping my eye out since her debut cover dropped. Busty and slim are a winning combination and it was really only a matter of time.

Physically Mahina wasn't quite what I expected but still nice. She was obviously photoshopped on covers, not quite as busty but also her face looked a little different. I would say I still enjoyed both though so it wasn't too bad. She came across kind of cute and cute isn't really my thing, but I would say the cover made her look prettier than she actually is. She at least was slim and I could enjoy how her body came across as a result of that. Her tits wound up stacking up fairly well, they seemed rather full so they looked nice for the most part.

Performance-wise Mahina wasn't really anything. Actresses always suck this early on and I got really no sense of her being good. A couple of smiles or laughs don't really do much of anything and she was otherwise not really doing anything.

Rating - C

At the end of the day Mahina wasn't exactly bad but wasn't anything special. There are enough busty actresses, including among 2020 debuts, that you need to stand out a little more. I'd be open to watching her again a few months down the road if she became a better performer, or perhaps if she starred in a more interesting theme.

It's always really hard to tell how S1 debuts shape up, some of them wind up doing quite well, some end up quitting pretty fast, some go the freelance route. I'll certainly keep a look out to see if anything noteworthy comes along but as of now there's still nothing special. It usually takes a few months for them to get past the newcomer phase anyway.

Hikari Sena

Hikari was someone I was somewhat interested in until people started telling me she was good. I got recommendations from her and I figured she would be worth while watching. At least off the cover, she vaguely reminded me of Yuri Honma, someone who I have been enjoying this year, so I figured it couldn't hurt to check out Hikari.

Physically Hikari was okay. I was relatively neutral on her face, not the prettiest but certainly fine. I did have some reservations about it because it looks quite different cover to cover so I was kind of happy to see I wasn't turned off by it. Her boobs were big but not as nice as I had hoped. I think what stood out to me was just how firm they were. I wouldn't go as far as to say they were fake but I enjoy some amount of give on them. It's nice to see them bounce and jiggle and with how firm hers were they just didn't do any of that. Her ass wasn't noteworthy either, but at least she was slim so you could enjoy her figure.

From a performance standpoint Hikari wasn't very good. She seemed to be disinterested the entire time and not really sure what she was supposed to be doing. She was often just staring off into the distance as though her mind was elsewhere. Maybe she was thinking about when it would be over or something. Yeah she smiled at times during the intros and foreplay but every actress does that. I felt like maybe she seemed a bit dull to me, like she was not really trying to enjoy herself.

Rating - D

I would be surprised if I actually watched her again. I found there was just a lot not to like about her from her boobs being too firm (I'm sorry that's just how it is) to her performance being lacking. I just don't see her contending with all the other options around. It was a bummer too because I was rather excited for her once people started telling me to check her out.

I feel like Hikari continuing to work for mediocre studios makes me reserved about watching her again. I have been known to get some of the more extreme ratings wrong, especially D, but I just don't see myself being interested unless something significant changes. If she's not getting good work I just don't have expectations of good releases I would be interested in watching.

Anna Kami

Anna was someone pointed out to me quite early on in the year. Idea Pocket is a pretty big studio and I had already checked out one debut from this year. I figured I could check out Anna as well, especially instead of some generic busty actress who left after a couple videos that I might have otherwise watched.

Physically I didn't enjoy Anna at all. That might upset some people but that's how I felt. I largely wasn't attracted to her rather plain face, that's just how it is sometimes. I didn't really like her body either, no real curves to speak of. I don't always need curves but I just don't see myself being super interested if I don't really find anything about them I like.

From a performance perspective Anna was similarly underwhelming. She didn't really do much at all, definitely didn't really understand the plot and how to perform it. Expectations from newer actresses are always low so I can't exactly say I was surprised, but that doesn't change how I felt about her. I try to look for things that give me hope for the future, like some good expressions or some skill that they can stand out with, but Anna just didn't really have anything. I think to some degree that was because of a desire to make the plot work as a passionate drama, so rather than be vibrant and upbeat she was more solemn.

Rating - D

I'm sure some others will disagree with me as they find her physical qualities more desirable but I think I can fairly safely say I'm not planning to watch more of her. As an exclusive for Idea Pocket there really isn't any expectation of any niche genres being performed so the emphasis is on either her body or performing skills. The most we might get is Beauty Venus, which is something I would likely watch, but I think short of that it's unlikely I would watch something. The best actresses for Idea Pocket, historically, have done well both physically and as a performer, and they have had some of the best of all-time in names like Minori Hatsune and Kaho Kasumi. Anna is neither of them and isn't even as good as fellow IP debut Hikari Azusa.

We've seen a year of Anna so far and I can't say that I've become any more interested in her. Idea Pocket actually does have some decent releases but when there are other options like Minami Aizawa, Momo Sakura, and even follow 2020 debut Hikari Azusa, I just don't see myself wanting to watch something from Anna just to see something from IP. Anna just isn't for me the way Nene Yoshitaka wasn't for me.

Haru Kawamura

Haru Kawamura was one of the late selections I made for debuts this year. With a lot of names leaving Oppai late in the year, including Julia, Haru became more of an important name at the studio. That seemed like a good enough reason to check her out since I'm sure she'll be starring in some good content later on. Oppai has my favourite series and it's hard to believe she won't star in it sometime next year.

Physically Haru was alright. Her boobs were definitely the star of the show being quite big and nice. They were rather firm if that matters to people, some prefer them firm others (like myself) a little less firm to get a bit more jiggle. Her ass wasn't nice at all so I found myself really disliking positions from behind. I wouldn't say I personally found her face super attractive but it wasn't bad by any stretch. I find I can accept some faces I don't enjoy a ton if there are other qualities that I can still enjoy.

From a performance perspective Haru was pretty lacking. No real enthusiasm to speak of and just a lot of generic stuff. It was underwhelming to say the least, especially when Haru is expected to fill the shoes of someone like Julia. Even if Julia is often rather underwhelming herself she's miles better than Haru. I'd like to say I have no expectations of her but with Oppai putting her front and center I had some higher expectations of her. I suppose they had no intention of it and got put in a tough situation. Either way, Haru just wasn't good and it made it hard to enjoy the content.

Rating - C

Haru doesn't seem like the kind of actress I would want to watch again. Nice boobs sure but that doesn't do enough alone, there are plenty of other actresses with nice boobs. That being said, I'm almost certain she'll star in my favourite series next year, and I watch all of those videos without thinking twice about it. Considering I watched an actress I had rated an F again because of it, Haru will instantly get a second watch of that happens.

I would say my desire to watch her hasn't changed, it's all predicated on releasing the video in my favourite series. Haru interestingly doesn't have a December release, so it's possible she just didn't do well and they decided to go without her. It's also possible she's just skipping a month. Even if Oppai doesn't have much in the way of exclusive actresses they're not really having trouble getting people to work with them. If Haru doesn't release for them then I'm probably not going to continue watching.

Miyabi Midorikawa

Miyabi was another of the last few choices. A cover like the one she has for the video (seen below) was enough to get me interested in her, and a quick skim wh oas enough for her to make it in.

Physically Miyabi was alright. Her boobs were alright, they seemed about as big as they were on the cover. They're supposedly 101 H cup but that seems bigger than they came across in the video. They're still nice but I guess I'm a bit ruined on how nice I find boobs because so many of my favourites have very nice boobs. Her body was still fairly nice as a whole, a solid ass as well. I feel like her face was touched up a bit on the cover to make her seem a bit older because she actually seemed fairly young. She's listed at 21 and I might have guessed 19 instead, so 21 is probably accurate. I do tend to prefer a bit more maturity but others may not mind her looking younger. Still decent overall though.

From a performance perspective she was okay. I think for the most part she wasn't anything special but she did have a bit of variation that a lot of newer actresses can't do at all. You could tell in the middle scene where she wasn't interested in doing stuff that she wasn't thrilled about it. You could tell in the final scene she was happier then in the scene before. It was still rather dull in comparison to what a good actress would do but like I said, so many actresses wouldn't really show any difference. I don't think I would call her acting good enough that I care about it or am hopeful that she'll turn out to be a good performer.

Rating - C

Miyabi didn't do enough to strike me as someone I would enjoy. Maybe I've just got high standards or maybe I've gotten to the point there are too many actresses I like for Miyabi to stand out. Fitch does present opportunities for her body to shine and that's probably the best thing she has going for her, especially since she's solid from either side.

Current Rating - C

The video I saw was a very late release and it's been less than a week since I watched it, so nothing has changed for me. Will wait to see what happens at Fitch. I will note that a duo or group release is more likely to get me interested but the chances she pairs with someone I'm not interested is probably even more likely than her pairing with someone I do like. I'd say Miyabi really is a toss up, we'll just have to see what comes out.

Ayase Tsuyuri

Ayase Tsuyuri was yet another of those busty actresses you kind of knew I would likely check out. Hard to go wrong with her given her appearance and the kind of studios she's been working for like Fitch and E-Body.

Physically I kind of enjoyed her. Big boobs that were rather nice and in general a body that had a good amount of meat to it. I'm not sure I would exactly call her slim but she definitely wasn't fat. I think most people wouldn't mind that size to her. I didn't find her ass to be anything special but I wasn't upset either. Her face was not half bad either and kind of reminded me of a younger Tsubasa Hachino. I also did enjoy her hairy bush, especially with a scene that focused explicitly on it.

Ayase's performance was pretty generic. The video itself had a very generic theme to it so Ayase just kind of did nothing. If you wanted an example of what generic performing is this is about as good as any. You could tell she was very inexperienced and letting the guys lead the way. Not unexpected to be honest, especially for a newcomer at E-Body.

Rating - B

Ayase didn't strike me as enough above the crowd but then again this year has seemingly been kind of a letdown in comparison to years past. I think Ayase had enough going for her physically that I could get behind her for something down the road. The promise of her winding up in something interesting because of freelancing seems like it could work out well for her.

Ayase has continued to work with more and more studios, especially lower end studios. I think the lack of definition for her body has been hurting her a little bit. I think studios do look at whether actresses take care of themselves and relegate those that don't get in shape to lower end stuff. You can see that with her having multiple Hunter releases already. That isn't necessarily a bad thing because I actually wouldn't mind checking her out again in some sort of Hunter release. Those kind of videos are often a good way to get a quick taste of an actress without too much investment in them.

Riina Asuka

Riina Asuka was someone I became interested in back during my July Sales Report post where I mentioned both her and Tomoko Kamisaka looked like they had great breasts. I already checked out Tomoko and confirmed as much and now it was Riina's turn.

Physically Riina was quite nice, starting with her boobs. Nice and big with some great shape and jiggle to them. I tend to value breasts that can sway back and forth nicely more than most, and Riina's definitely excelled in that department. Her figure was also very slim, you could tell she took care of her body. Her ass was okay, though I think it was more so a matter of her body being nice that made it seem good. I didn't find Riina's face all that great, she actually used quite a lot of makeup. Makes me think they were trying to compensate since JAV tends to go light on makeup compared to western porn.

From a performance standpoint she was pretty much a dead flower. Nothing going on and a lot of moments where she just seemed to be staring off into space. A bit unfortunate that she was so out of it, like she didn't even really want to be there. That also kind of coincides with what happened during the first scene, which is that it ended before intercourse. I don't know if I'd say she wasn't up for it like we sometimes see in debut videos though, especially since this isn't her debut. Either way, that was just generally how I felt about her performance, like giving up on it.

Rating - B

As much as there are reasons to dislike Riina I think her boobs are nice enough for me to check her out again. Call me one-dimensional if you want but they were nice and stood out among some mediocrity this year. I would be doubtful of myself coming to enjoy her but I think it's hard to go wrong with boobs like that.

Riina's still releasing one video a month for E-Body so there's still probably a long time before we get interesting content from her. Still, can't say no to those titties.

Best In Class

I thought Suzu Matsuoka was the prettiest actress. I must say that there wasn't anyone who was insanely pretty like there have been in other years. Picking Suzu wasn't easy, not because there many great choices but because there weren't many great choices. When I compare to who I picked in previous years, Touka Rinne in 2018 and Riho Agatsuma in 2019, Suzu just doesn't hold a candle to them.

Riina Asuka had the best tits. I thought they looked quite nice in both shape and size. They weren't saggy but also managed to bounce and jiggle very nicely. I think if anything, they looked great against her very slim and toned figure, standing out more than they might have otherwise. Speaking of which, Riina Asuka also had the best body. A very nice figure honestly, quite slim and well toned. Very reminiscent of someone like Touka Rinne, who I think might just have the best body around.

June Lovejoy definitely had the best ass among anyone I watched. It's a shame that the video I saw didn't highlight it very well, lesbian videos tend to have that problem. I actually ran into that issue when checking out Yuki Jin and knew I didn't want to do that again, but I kind of had no idea June's ass was like that. In fact, I kind of only realized after the fact, or else I might have considered a different video. Anyway, definitely June for best ass, I would say it seems like it's actually very nice. I can't comment too much on it because I haven't seen much but I do like big butts and hers sure looks big. The fact that it has made me interested in watching her again is a very good sign.

Kanon Urara's video wound up being the best. To me that actually isn't all that surprising. Actresses that have shot more videos stand to be the most likely winners here and boy did she shoot a lot. She wasn't the only one who released a lot but when coupled with a theme I genuinely like it's really not that surprising.

The best performer was Yume Nikaido, although it was quite close with Kanon Urara. I would say Yume understood her role quite well and managed to play it the way I would expect an actress with some experience would. She did happen to have a video with good acting opportunities in comparison to others, but I think I am hopeful of her being solid in the future.

Hikari Azusa is I think the actress I'm most likely to watch again. I will preface this by saying that I haven't seen anyone a second time yet, which compared to last year is a surprise given there were a handful I watched again in the same year. Anyway, Hikari seems like the one I'm most likely to watch. Idea Pocket has a couple of nice series I would be very interested in seeing her in. Despite three other actresses scoring As I would say I'm probably more likely to watch Yume Nikaido or June Lovejoy again than them. I found out recently Yume speaks English and I've always been a fan of actresses that speak English. For June her ass really is nice enough that I may watch her again just to check it out. 

Nao Kikuchi is easily the actress I'm least likely to watch again. She wasn't someone I put any thought into watching and she wasn't good. She also seemingly already retired, one of only two from this year's selection, and only released a couple of videos.

And there we have all of my 2020 picks done. As it stands, 2020 debuts unfortunately weren't nearly as good as years past. In 2018 we got names like Touka Rinne and Monami Takarada, in 2019 we got names like Kaho Imai, Yuria Yoshine, and Ruka Inaba. The jury is still out on how good any of them turn out to be so I'll be sure to take a look again in 2021 and see how their careers are progressing. Until next time!
