Last time I said I was done reviewing 2020 debuts, and at the time that was the plan. For this entry I decided to open it up and have a friend pick the actresses I would watch. As it turns out, that friend picked all 2020 debuts. So, here we are doing another set of 2020 debuts. In all honesty I wasn't expecting to do this but I figure the people will enjoy debuts more than anything else. Even myself, as much as I enjoy finding major actresses that have just flown under the radar and I missed, there's a certain enjoyment to following an actress from the beginning of their career. I find that even more true with the sales posts I do now, since I spend even more time invested in following debut actresses.

As a reminder, we're quickly approaching the time where I'll start mass reviewing 2021 debuts, which will happen in the last couple of months of the year. I've made comments about actresses I'm interested in during my sales posts as well as pointed out several popular debuts. That said, if there are actresses you do want to see reviews of, feel free to request them in the comments section.

Anyway, let's jump into the actresses for this entry.

Tsubaki Sannomiya

Tsubaki Sannomiya was not someone that I really had on my radar, I must say. S1 always has a lot of actresses joining and always manages to have a lot of very popular names. I noticed the more popular names: Aka, Riri, Mahina, but not Tsubaki. That being said, S1 actresses are often higher quality than your average debut (perhaps a product of S1 being a high quality studio) and so even the names that aren't quite as big can be worth checking out. As people have probably seen from my sales posts, there's always a plethora of S1 content to talk about, so of course another debut would be here.

Physically Tsubaki has short hair which gave me a lot of vibes of other short haired actresses. I immediately thought of Saki Okuda, but in reality S1 has quite a few actresses with hair this short: Yura Kano, Aoi Tsukasa, and Kojima Minami come to mind. Saki Okuda is by far my favourite of that bunch and does look a fair bit older than Tsubaki does, there's about a six year gap in their age. I didn't exactly dislike her face but my personal preferences are for someone a bit older and with longer hair, so she just wasn't particularly my cup of tea in that department. Her boobs were an okay size but there was a certain firmness to them that made me wonder if they were enhanced in some way. The rest of her body was solid enough, nothing to write home about but still enjoyable.

As a performer I wasn't too impressed. Tsubaki didn't do anything particularly noteworthy and was just as you would expect a debut actress to be, even though she had quite a few videos under her belt by the time this video came out. She didn't do much at all when prompted for anything and it felt half-hearted. A lot of "please stop" in the most uninspiring way, for example. They certainly tried to do some sort of "she eventually comes to like it" plot but it really never got there, especially because of her performance. They tried to do some deepthroating at times, which was better than the average, but still not great, especially compared to some other 2020 debuts (for example Suzu Matsuoka). I do think one should keep in mind that S1 debuts tend to be more focused on their physical qualities than their performing, and a lot of their performers aren't as good as one would think looking at their sales.

Rating - C

For the most part, I don't really see myself that interested in Tsubaki. When I look at Tsubaki, I don't see what she offers over someone like Saki Okuda or Tsukasa Aoi. I do think it's important to keep in mind contemporaries, especially ones who compare quite closely (and short-haired actresses exclusive for the same studio are as close as you'll get), the big reason being that you can only watch so much and you'll have to watch one over the other. The one thing that does give me pause is the deepthroating from Tsubaki. While I don't think she was anything special, she does already have a deepthroat video. Considering that S1 has had some good deepthroating (harking back to the days of Acky), I think that there is potential for her to fill a more rough side on S1 with some more deepthroating videos. I would likely need to see that sort of potential realized for me to be interested, but it's certainly a rarer side of S1 that I would be rather interested in seeing.

Kano Kashii

Kano Kashii was someone I honestly would have never payed much attention to had someone not pointed her out for me. There's just so many actresses out there to watch and you have to draw the line somewhere. Considering that Premium has other actresses I'd prefer to watch, particularly Aika Yamagishi as an exclusive, Kano is just an actress I never got around to. I'd be lying if I didn't say her smaller boobs were a factor in that decision.

Physically I thought Kano was okay. She had a very slim figure that bordered on being a little too thin, especially with her narrow limbs that made her seem quite tall (she's average height but being taller than the male actor made her appear much taller.) She was fairly pretty, she had a face that seemed a little more mature than her age that gave her the ability to play some more mature roles without having to exclusively play them. That's definitely the kind of actress I like and I think Kano might turn out really nice in a few more years when her maturity catches up to her (but she still looks relatively youthful akin to Aki Sasaki, for example.) I did unfortunately find her curves weren't that nice. Her boobs were unfortunately quite small, definitely too small for my preferences (and perhaps also for the average person). Her ass was just okay, nothing special but definitely enough going on that you could enjoy it. As a whole I would say she is nice enough physically, especially if you're not all about big boobs like I am.

As a performer I wasn't that impressed by Kano. She had some times where she was okay but there were a lot of times with excessive moaning that weren't that good. She seemed very uninterested for the most part, often not looking at the actor with her head tilted away and eyes closed. It gave off this vibe that she didn't really enjoy what she was doing, which was strange when coupled with the more excessive moaning (because traditionally I associate that with an inability to maintain composure during pleasure). It was ultimately a pretty uninspiring performance, which was made even worse by the fact the video had a plot of her coming onto her student. I don't really think it was a case of the director's direction being incorrect and it felt more like she couldn't do what was needed.

Rating - C

I'm not in the habit of giving out many D ratings but this is probably as close to a D as someone can get without actually getting one (all puns aside). She just doesn't have enough redeeming qualities and I feel like other options at Premium are going to be better. Not just Aika Yamagishi but also actresses like Yuki Takeuchi or any of the numerous actresses that work there semi-regularly, like Julia or Yu Shinoda. Hell, one can even just go back to Aki Sasaki (and she has tons and tons of content), who I think is better than Kano in every way. As much as I do like these actresses that can fill a wide array of roles from their perceived age, I think there actually are enough of them floating around to be able to pass one ones you don't like, and I don't see myself being interested in her. 

Tsubasa Aoi

Tsubasa Aoi, perhaps better known as Ibuki Aoi (her debut name which she has since changed), was one of the few debuts that escaped me last year. It's very likely in a given year I don't get to every debut that's worth watching just because there's so many of them. Especially when I open it up for others to give recommendations, there's just far too many. Even now I'm keeping tabs on three times as many as I watched last year, and we're still only about half way through the year. At any rate, I am most excited about my friend selecting Ibuki as she was someone I really did wish I had checked out.

Physically Aoi was fairly nice. She clearly had a nice slim body that was reasonably toned. Very reminiscent of someone like Julia, who is clearly in shape. After that were her tits which I quite enjoyed. Listed as 80cm G cup, they're a solid size. While certainly on the smaller side for G cup boobs (and I did notice), that doesn't change the fact that they're nice. A great bit of jiggle to them that you can easily enjoy. Her ass wasn't anything special but it also wasn't flat. I wouldn't say I loved her face but it wasn't bad by any stretch. Honestly, she does remind me of that whole sort easy to get into actress group, with names like Julia, Momo Sakura, Mion Sonoda, etc. I characterize that group by soft features and reasonable curves without being too curvy to alienate people. Certainly enough going on and definitely someone with widespread appeal, I think.

As a performer I did actually enjoy her. She had some really great deepthroating at times and I'd probably put her second in class only to Suzu Matsuoka (who, by the way, is turning out to be incredibly good at it). Not even just the deepthroating but her ability to stare up at the guy while doing it, top notch stuff. I thought the rest of her performance was average. At times I was buying into how she was acting and at other times she was just doing the whole "please stop" thing that everyone does. I found her moaning to be quite nice when it was a more guttural noise than the high-pitched whine that a lot of actresses do, felt more fitting to the particular theme. There was also a slight amount of squirting at times, not enough to call her good but enough to give you something to look forward to and hope for more of.

Rating - A

I'm putting a lot of faith that Moodyz will come up with some good content for her to star in down the road. She's fairly nice physically and as a performer the deepthroating stands out. Especially knowing the type of content Moodyz produces for Tsubomi, one can only hope that Tsubasa ends up doing the same stuff. Even a year later she's getting a lot of generic stuff, but sooner or later she'll get some much more interesting content and I think she'll shine.

Konomi Yoshinaga

Konomi is someone I completely skipped over last year. No point in sugar coating it, she just didn't strike my fancy and with so many interesting debuts each year, I just never paid her any mind.

Physically Konomi reminded me of all of the Ms. SOD debuts (the SOD label this video is for). They all have a certain look to them that, when you realize it, you start to see it. Especially if you remember back to Moa Maeda, you'll recall Konomi does look quite a bit like her. Generally speaking I thought Konomi was fine all around. Her boobs were an okay size, her ass was solid, she had a decent thiccness to her, just generally all around fine. Generally all around fine is also the kind of result that makes you somewhat uninspiring, especially as many top actresses tend to be those that excel in some sort of way (extremely pretty, extremely curvy, etc.) or are all around fantastic. So despite being more appealing overall, I found myself not super enthused about her. She certainly was no Moa Maeda, someone I praised really highly, even if there are lots of ways one might compare the pair.

As a performer she was also generally solid. She had moments with some decent expressions but generally didn't stand out. Her moaning was actually rather nice, quite palatable with it being more on a panting side than a high-pitched whine, which I typically prefer. I also enjoyed how active she was during it, especially the vigor in cowgirl positions. It felt like she was putting effort into it.

Rating - C

I think the big thing with Konomi is that she doesn't stand out. I want my debut actresses to have a special quality to them to make me interested. Konomi just lacks anything that makes me excited about her. Especially when I'm able to effectively call her a budget Moa, I just don't know where I'd ever want to watch Konomi over Moa. Konomi is perfectly fine but with how many actresses I like, perfectly fine just doesn't cut it. I think if anything, actresses that are on the more well-rounded side have a lot of potential upside to them, since small tweaks can really make them stand out. Especially since there's a good chance Konomi goes freelance at some point, there's tons of options that could make her be a pretty decent actress. Still, all I can think about is how she's a budget Moa and with how nice Moa is I just can't bring myself to want to watch Konomi.

Nako Hoshi

Nako debuted late last year, just barely too late to make my post. I can't say that Nako was someone I had my eye out for, mostly because I tend to pay a little less attention toward the end of the year.

Physically Nako was alright. Her face actually kind of reminded me of Ai Uehara when things got underway, particularly when she was grinning ear-to-ear (and she did that a lot.) I can't say that her face really had a direction like cute or hot or whatever, but it was still fine enough. Her curves were also alright, nothing insane but nothing to scoff at either, from both her front and back. I think in general I felt like she was just kind of well rounded. Enough that you could enjoy them but nothing too special.

As a performer Nako definitely shined. I think the only downside was that she only had a 100 mode and nothing in between. Sometimes that resulted in expressions that didn't necessarily make sense, like someone was spying on her and she'd ask them what they were doing with a giant smile on her face. But in general, she was quite good. A lot of laughter and chatter and she generally was very upbeat. Especially given a plot in the video of her being a teacher who likes to fool around with the students, Nako's performance turned what would have been an underwhelming video to something rather enjoyable. Absolutely the kind of performance you want to see in a newcomer.

Rating - A

I think there's a very high probability I watch her again. While I wasn't particularly impressed by her physically (despite being reasonably well-rounded), as a performer she was easily one of the better debuts I've ever seen if not outright the best. That kind of performance is rare, and I think she actually seems like the second coming of Ai Uehara in more than just her face. It might sound like high praise to compare her to someone so well regarded but Nako was just that much better than everyone else as a performer. I really can't understate how good of a performance it was and how big of an impression that made on me. Nako definitely has a bright future ahead of her, especially if she goes freelance.

Sakura Misaki

Sakura Misaki was definitely someone I didn't pay much attention to last year. I'm not afraid to admit that I am biased towards more busty actresses and some of the less well-endowed actresses do tend to get looked over. While that isn't to say they can't be great (and there are certainly some less busty actresses I count among my favourites), the simple fact of the matter is that when it comes to new actresses that I don't know anything about, a good pair of boobs goes a long way. When my friend picked Sakura Misaki it was a good chance to get someone less busty among the debuts. For any readers, if you do come across debuts that you'd like me to review, especially less busty, please let me know in the comments. Anyway with that said, let's jump into Sakura.

Physically Sakura was alright. She had that nice youthful MILF vibe that I tend to like and came off as being a fair bit older than she actually is (she's listed as 27). She reminded me a lot of how I felt about Aki Sasaki, especially given that she was similarly not very busty. Her boobs certainly were on the smaller side and weren't what I usually prefer, and I never really paid much attention to them while watching her. What I did pay attention to was her ass, which was far nicer than I had anticipated. It may not be the best ass among this set of debuts but certainly it was enjoyable to watch and probably her best quality.

As a performer Sakura was much less inspiring. While she was fairly reasonable during all of the acting bits, acting bits only take up so much of a video. Without being anything more than your typical performance during intercourse that was much less enjoyable. Especially in a video where she was happily cheating on her husband with her coworker, you would expect a bit more of an upbeat performance. She could be energetic enough while riding but if it's filled with a lot of moaning it is a bit of a buzz kill. I wouldn't say she was really much of anything in that department and it certainly dragged down my opinion of her.

Rating - B

All things considered I do think I will probably watch Sakura again. She wasn't fantastic but there's a lot of room between an amazing debut and an enjoyable debut. I did enjoy the video, and her older appearance + decent ass were a combination I could also enjoy. Tameike Goro, the studio she works for, is one I don't love to watch every day because of how similar a lot of videos feel. That being said, this video felt rather different compared to what they often do, and I think that if they can pump out some more like this then I can get behind watching her again.

Remi

Remi is one of the few new gals we've seen popping up. I can't say she was ever on my radar as I'm not a fan of gals, especially when they have fake boobs. That being said, the New To Me series is about watching new actresses, especially those outside of my wheelhouse, and Remi certainly fit that bill.

Physically Remi was very mixed for me. Facially I wasn't that impressed, I think Remi had a lot of makeup on to direct a certain look that made her seem a bit fake. I would say she reminded me a lot of Maria Nagai facially for that reason. I also wasn't a fan of her boobs, between the bikini tan on them and them being bolt-ons they just weren't for me. Outside of that I could enjoy the rest of her, she had a nice ass and a fairly nice body. Certainly an actress with a lot of give and take.

As a performer Remi was kind of whatever. She had some times where she was acting but I think for the most part she didn't really do much of anything. The video presented itself with a lot of opportunities for her to act, between all the surprise sex, creampies, how she changed from disliking to liking it later on, etc. The bottom line for her was that she was pretty lazy about things and just didn't rise to the level of what was needed to make this a truly good video.

Rating - D

I think my D rating comes largely from disliking her physically. I'm not one for gals and am generally not a bolt-on fan, so she just doesn't do it for me. Maybe if her acting was good I could look past a little but unfortunately it was not. I kind of knew coming into it that she wouldn't be someone I liked and I wasn't surprised when she wasn't for me. I can't say I disliked the video as much as I think I anticipated I would, in fact it was actually pretty solid, but specifically as an actress I just don't see her being someone I'm interested in. If I want a gal I'd rather go to someone like Kaho Imai or even AIKA, and if I want bolt-ons there's always Reiko Kobayakawa, and I suspect I won't ever want both at the same time. That all being said, it's important to keep in mind that these are personal ratings about my own personal opinions about the actress and whether I want to watch them again. Those who do like this type of look should take my rating with a bit of a grain of salt.

Best In Class

Kano Kashii was the actress I thought was the most attractive. She had that youthful mature look that I so often like, especially when it presents an opportunity to take on a wide array of roles. Nobody was particularly stunning this time but considering I was only looking at seven actresses and had already gotten through actresses I thought were that attractive I can't say it was surprising I felt that way.

Tsubasa Aoi had the best tits of the bunch. A lot of actresses this time didn't have spectacular tits, from some having fake tits, like Remi, to some having smaller tits like, Kano Kashii. I think that was largely a product of my friend picking a better variety of actresses than I typically would, which is something I would consider a good thing. Tsubasa's were fairly nice though, a lot of great jiggle to them. Part of that was also due to how nice it looked on her body, and I thought she also had the best body. As much as I like big tits, an actress's body can make a huge difference to how nice a pair of tits look, and Tsubasa's looked great on hers.

Remi had my favourite ass of the bunch. It was fairly big and round and it looked quite nice during a lot of the video. Remi's video was also narrowly my favourite video of the bunch. I liked the free use concept that the video had and I thought it came together rather nicely. They really captured the concept well when they had sex anywhere and everywhere, whether Remi was cooking, cleaning, eating, etc. Especially as the video had a focus on creampies as well, it really felt like she was a cum dump. Some scenes were very brief as she got a quick creampie while others had multiple creampies, and that variety played well with all the other variety. I still think Lunatics has a lot of work to do as a studio to improve themselves, but they're pretty new still and they'll hopefully figure it out.

The best performer was hands down Nako Hoshi. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a performance that good from a debut ever. She seriously did an amazing job from start to finish, buying into the naughty teacher theme and being vibrant and upbeat the entire time. It honestly sets a new bar for how much one can expect from a debut actress. It wasn't just good for a debut, it was better than most actresses would do, even many people would call good actresses. I really can't say enough good things about her as a performer, which is largely why she's also the actress I'm most likely to watch again. I find that there are always a lot of factors that go in to how much I like an actress, but scoring really well in a single metric can really propel you to the top of the list. As much as I liked Tsubasa, I feel like my rating for her is partially based on projections whereas Nako is showing that she's great right now.

Remi, despite being on the list a couple of times in more favourable circumstances, is the actress I'm least likely to watch again. Looks do matter and I'm simply not a fan of Remi's look. I typically don't like the whole gal appearance and there are very few gal actresses I actually do like. On top of that I wasn't a fan of Remi's boobs either being small bolt-ons. I just don't really see a world where how enjoyable a video looks outweighs how off-base her appearance is for me. Especially with Remi trending more towards these lower quality studios, I think the likelihood of her starring in something that looks particularly appealing is relatively low.

With that we're through another set of debut actresses. I'm fairly certain this is the end of me reviewing 2020 debuts (we're now up to 35 reviewed) so the next time you see me checking out debuts expect it to be 2021 debuts.
