Pan Takes - April 2024 Vol 1

April proved to be a pretty great month for new JAV films encompassing a nice array of actresses and themes. We got Maria Nagai as a seductive nurse, Nene Tanaka as a NEET, and Jun Suehiro as a bootylicious housekeeper just to name a few. And we get the return of Nanami Matsumoto who is now an exclusive for Materiall. So join me as I take a look at each film, review it, and give it an overall score. Without further ado, let's get started.

This was quite easily one of my most hyped releases for the month and I'm very happy to report that it more than delivered making for one of her best videos to date. The plot here casts Maria as a voluptuous widow who seduces random men from around the neighborhood. I'm naturally a huge fan of this theme as it's a really great fantasy and all the various scenarios here are enjoyable. Maria is such a perfect fit for this role too with her ridiculous curves that oozes raw sex appeal. Sure it's a bit over the top but I didn't mind. First, I want to talk about her performance, which is pretty solid. Her general enthusiasm is superb and she certainly knows how to work her ass quite well. She also does a fine job of taking control throughout each scene. Her facial expressions can be a tad hit-or-miss at times but that's the only negative I have. The positives don't stop there as the action is just as brilliant. It consists of two sex scenes, two assjob scenes, and a handjob scene.

Besides some fake creampies in the sex scenes, I have zero complaints. All the positions highlight her juicy ass and tits extremely well with tons of cowgirl and doggystyle and we even get plenty of facesitting to boot. The pacing is well balanced across the entire film too with no scenes overstaying their welcome. But what is easily the best aspect here is the production values. It's expertly crafted all around. I particularly love her wardrobe here as she looks phenomenal. In the two sex scenes, for example, she keeps a thong on to the side which frames her ass perfectly. Also, she's sporting a sexy tight jean thong in the 2nd scene that makes for some stunning eyecandy. The lighting is also top-notch with a nice variety to it and the settings are all decently diverse too. There is some fish eye lens here but it's not too egregious. Overall I can confidently say that this is by far one of Maria's all-time best films. It makes excellent use of Maria's proportions and she completely owns it.

The NEET genre sure has become a hot new trend and the latest to jump on board is Nene Tanaka. This particular film is a part of the "Panty Festival" which functions a bit like the AV Open event from years past with many studios taking part by submitting a video pertaining to the theme of panties. The only difference is that there are no awards for it. It's definitely not the same but still nice to see all the studios get involved. This one is from BeFree which is admittedly a lower-tier studio and it certainly shows. As the title states the plot centers around a guy visiting his step-sis and discovering she's a hermit addicted to playing video games and staying in her room. She openly lets him fondler her and it doesn't take long for things to get heated and they get to fucking. They then proceed to go at it for the rest of the film. It's your typical NEET premise for better or worse. I do appreciate that Nene's performance is more carefree than usual so she does a well enough job at playing the NEET role.

Now I did mention earlier that BeFree is more of a lower-tier studio and that's mostly due to their production values as they often feel rather cheap. That's unfortunately the case here. While it's not quite terrible, the lighting is often kinda dull and uninspired. The camerawork is at least decent but nothing too noteworthy. And there's really only one setting for the entire film but that's just par for the course really with this theme. Lastly, we have the action which is a bit on the lackluster side. It features two sex scenes, a paizuri scene, and a really boring masturbation scene that goes nowhere and is a complete waste of time. The paizuri scene is kind of a waste too as it ends with her just jerking him between her tits. It's painfully frustrating. The two sex scenes are enjoyable at least but still end in a fake creampie sadly. At the of the day, it's a pretty mid release thanks to some underwhelming scenes and mediocre lighting.

It's been a hot minute since I last checked out a new Jun Suehiro release. Most of her latest works just haven't been my cup of tea at all, until today. This cover pulled me upon first glance and it ended up being a pretty solid watch. Here we see Jun playing a housekeeper at an office tidying up the place when one of the male workers can't help himself to her plump booty and starts to fondle her. Before you know it he thrusts his dick in her and starts going to town. This happens a couple more times throughout until she starts to enjoy herself and willingly accepts it. I'm always a big fan of this theme as it makes for some delectable booty eyecandy. And the execution is a bit better than your typical Lunatics production. I will knock the camerawork a bit as yet again the actor is filming it so often that the angles aren't the best or the most stable but given the situation, they're decent enough. Still wish they'd spring for a separate cameraman though.

I will praise the lighting and settings though. Often with Lunatics, it's the same stale lighting and setting for every film with on variety at all. But here we get multiple different locations such as a bathroom, hallway, and office in addition to a nice range of lighting setups. Action wise the film is pretty satisfying if not for one major flaw which is that there are barely any real cumshots at all. This happens all the time with Lunatics but it's still frustrating all the same. Otherwise, it's solid with two sex scenes, two half-sex scenes, and an assjob scene. Expect a lot of ass focus here which is absolutely fine with me. And lastly, she manages to deliver a solid performance. She plays it pretty submissively at the start without going too overboard before loosening up a little bit near the end. LULU-283 stands as one of the better Jun Suehiro films of recent times and could've been even better if not for the abundance of fake cumshots and the sometimes wonky camerawork.

Momona's releases can be quite hit or miss but I'm happy to say that this one was definitely an enjoyable watch. In this one, we get to see Momona working at a hostess bar and secretly having sex with a few lucky customers. I'm not inherently a huge fan of this premise as it's one I don't really connect with and it can be rather repetitive. But this one changes up just enough to keep your interest all the way through which starts with the production values. While yes two scenes reuse the same setting, the camerawork and lighting are different for each one making it a bit more palatable. They're all shot very well save for a few wonky angles in the 2nd sex scene. I also gotta shout out her outfit in the 2nd scene where she sports pigtails and a sexy maid uniform. It's usually not my cup of tea but she owns it.

The pacing is terrific too as it's well-balanced across the board with no real issues. Faring mostly just as nice is the action which consists of three sex scenes with one being a threesome and a paizuri scene. The action is quite plentiful here and every scene is satisfying however I do have a few minor issues. There appears to be just one real cumshot in the entire film and the first scene only uses cowgirl which does make some sense given the setting and situation but a tad more variety would've been appreciated. But those annoyances aside, the film is still an entertaining watch mainly in part due to Momona's lively performance. Her bubbly personality is on full display on top of being super engaging. She also does a nice job of masking her moans and keeping quiet when needed. START-042 is easily one of her better films as of late. I may not care for the plot too much but it's well executed and her bubbly performance really carries it. You can't go wrong with this one.

Talk about a whiplash of directors between films. We go from Samoari in her previous film to the absolute GOAT in Nao Masaki with this new release. Now there isn't too much of a plot here as the main premise centers around femdom with the only slight themed scenario occurring in the first scene where she seduces a "random" guy in an elevator and gives him a tittyfuck. A bit more plot to some of the scenes would've been appreciated instead of just generic vanilla setups but it's not a huge gripe as it's all still executed fairly well. Now obviously a key aspect of any femdom-type film is acting and while Ai Kano doesn't quite hit the highs you'd want to see, she still delivers a decent enough performance overall. Her general enthusiasm isn't too shabby and I will give her credit for improving since her hiatus. But her facial expressions can be a tad mixed as at times they can be a little too stiff but other times she appropriately conveys a great sense of lewdness.

In the end, she's solid and is at least noticeably better than before her break. I also gotta praise the production values too as they're also pretty great. By far one of the best elements is her wardrobe consisting of several overtly slutty outfits that perfectly match the film's vibe. In particular, I really liked the micro bikini she sports in the last scene. The camerawork is on point too although can be a little wonky with the fisheye at times such as in the POV scenes. Also, the pacing could've been trimmed down in a couple of spots. The action is no slouch either featuring three sex scenes and two paizuri scenes. Every scene is generally enjoyable although the cumshots, while real, can be kinda lackluster which takes away some satisfaction from the paizuri scenes. Otherwise, the sex scenes are all terrific and feel distinct from each other. Nao Masaki delivers yet again making for one of Ai Kano's best films yet that is wonderfully executed with satisfying action. A fun watch from start to end

We finally have the return of Nanami Matsumoto. It's been about six months since her last film so fans were eagerly awaiting any kind of update. She announced that she's now an exclusive for Materiall, which is actually their first. Materiall has been one of my favorite up-and-coming studios so I was more than happy for this move. Anyway, the film itself incorporates your basic magic mirror bus plot. Nanami goes around, picks up "random" guys, and brings them back to engage in a variety of sex acts. They do look like amateurs while blurring their faces to lend even more believability but they're almost certainly not just random pickups. That said, I do still enjoy the setup as it's still fun to fantasize about getting picked off the street to fuck Nanami.

Now performance is always a key aspect of this theme and Nanami does an alright job for the most part. Sometimes her enthusiasm doesn't quite hit the highs you want to see but otherwise she is more than capable enough. When it comes to the production values, there's not much to talk about. There's only one setting of course and the lighting and camerawork are the same throughout. It can get a little tiresome I don't mind personally as it's a classic JAV setup. I'd hate to end on a sour note but the action is really quite lacking. It consists of two sex scenes and two handjob scenes. For one, the actual sex in the first scene only lasts 10 minutes and uses just cowgirl. The last sex scene is solid with a great array of positions but that's about the only highlight as the middle of the film with the handjob scenes is not that exciting honestly with it being kind of a slog. I'm definitely happy to have Nanami back and I enjoyed the setup but the action really left something to be desired.

I'm always down for a nurse-themed video and while this one may leave a little something to be desired, it's still a decent watch. If you've seen any works from this studio then you likely know what to expect here as it follows all the bells and whistles of every other release from them for the most part. It's as straightforward as it gets with Maria playing a busty nurse who gives her patients some "hands-on" care. I do wish they'd do more with the nurse theme as every scene feels pretty much the same with how it plays out. Some more diversity would've been greatly appreciated. Especially with her wardrobe as she only sports one nurse uniform for the entire film. On the brighter side, the lighting is quite nice as it compliments her figure quite nicely going for a more softer feel. The camerawork and pacing are also solid. I will say though her makeup could've been better overall.

Next up we have the action which is a very mixed bag. It consists of two sex scenes, two paizuri scenes, a handjob scene, and a dull tittyplay scene. That particular scene really is a waste of time for the most part. Also, all the nonsex scenes use fake cumshots which really takes away from the satisfaction. On the bright side though, the two sex scenes are both quality with a really nice array of positions. And I should mention too that most of the focus here is on her titties so if you don't like seeing her ass all that much, this is right up your alley. I'll round this up by talking about her performance which is honestly pretty mid. Her general enthusiasm isn't too bad but her facial expressions can feel really lacking at times. At the end of the day, I still enjoyed the film but it's far from perfect. The eyecandy factor makes it worth a watch but some of the action is really disappointing and some aspects of the production values are a letdown.

Always nice to see Noa in a film that's a bit more plot-driven. The premise seemingly revolved around our guy here linking back up with his childhood friend for some studying. However, she accidentally walks in on him masturbating which leads to them undressing in front of each other before they fully go at it igniting that sexual spark between them. It's an alright setup but it doesn't really do too much for me personally. I will say Noa's slightly awkward performance kinda makes at least in this film considering the relationship. Noa deserves a bit of credit as her acting isn't that bad. She isn't a complete dead fish like some others and does boast some enthusiasm at the bare minimum. But yeah needless to say you're not watching Noa for her performances. We all know there's one, or should I say, two big reasons to watch Noa. To her credit, she looks terrific here.

She may just be eyecandy but it's some goddamn good eyecandy at that. In particular, I really love her figure. She's got a decently slim waist with just the right amount of pudge. The lighting isn't too shabby either besides being a tad too bright in a few scenes but it's not that egregious. The setting variety could've been better though as the two sex scenes reuse the same room. Lastly, we have the action which is quite good but not perfect. My one main issue is with the pacing as the last scene is 50 minutes long and really should've been cut down to make room for another scene perhaps. But that said, the two sex scenes themselves are both very enjoyable with a nice array of positions. We also get a decent paizuri scene and a masturbation scene that is mostly forgettable besides providing some nice angles of her body. Overall a quality watch that makes for one of her better films as of late. And no stupid mask gimmick to boot. A great film to check out if you're new to her.
