Pan Takes - February 2024 Vol 1

February was a pretty solid month regarding new JAV releases. We finally saw the return of an old favorite of mine in Ruu Yumemi, which certainly excites me. In addition, we got some picture-perfect roles such as Hana playing a busty schoolgirl and Ai Sayama as a seductive nurse. And the future of A.I is here thanks to a tantalizing new video from Rin Hachimitsu. As always I'll review each film and provide an overall score at the very end. Without further ado, let's dive in!

Finally, we have the glorious return of one of my favorites in Ruu Yumemi who was previously exclusive to Moodyz but now appears to be tied down to SOD Create. Regardless I was excited about her comeback but this film ultimately leaves a little something to be desired. The plot follows Ruu who plays a dental hygienist dealing with a sexually unsatisfying marriage. As a result, she ends up having an affair with one of her patients. It's not a terrible setup but it's just too basic and dull for my liking. It's perfect for some risky action but is completely devoid of it which is a massively wasted opportunity. That aside, the action is at least mostly enjoyable consisting of three full sex scenes. The quality of the scenes themselves is good and features a very nice range of positions.

But it's not perfect as there's just one real cumshot to go around and the pacing is way too bloated considering we got just three scenes spread across the runtime of 2 hours and 15 minutes. They could've easily trimmed some of the fluff down to make room for a paizuri scene for example. When it comes to her acting, sadly there's not much to say. Ruu has always been a middling performer and that really hasn't changed sadly. She's not awful but everything from her enthusiasm to her facial expressions just feels underwhelming. I'll end this on a more positive note by saying the production values are pretty solid across the board. The setting variety is a bit slim but the scenes are all very well lit at least with fantastic camerawork to boot. And personally, Ruu Yumemi looks just as nice as before. She's still delightfully plump and plenty thick which I love to see. All in all, this is a rather "mid" release but I'm just glad she's back with hopefully more to come.

I've made it no secret that Noa Haruna is one of my biggest guiltiest pleasures in JAV. Here we see a guy who is unable to resist the temptation of his busty step-sister and proceeds to fondle her before shortly moving on to fully fucking her. The pair go at it throughout the entire film until the very end where he seemingly allows his friend to join in on the action. A bit of a bizarre turn but otherwise this is a fine premise if not too simplistic as to be expected from this studio. Now once again as is always the case with her films, the eyecandy factor is by far the best element. For one, the schoolgirl outfit and pigtails combo suit her nicely. And of course, her boobs themselves look amazing as always. That aspect certainly does not disappoint. Don't expect much praise when it comes to her acting though.

She's maybe a tad better but still quite underwhelming across the board with weak facial expressions, lackluster engagement, and mediocre enthusiasm. But at this point let's be real, you're watching her for her magnificent chest and not much else. When it comes to the production values, it's very par for the course with this studio. The wardrobe and camerawork are nice but the lighting is rather one-note and a little too washed out at times. The action is also standard fare with two sex scenes, a handjob scene, and a heap of paizuri scenes all unfortunately accompanied by fake cumshots which suck a lot of enjoyment out of them. And there's a dull tittyplay scene at the start that takes way too long and isn't all that satisfying. But the two sex scenes though are fantastic and very enjoyable. At the end of the day, what you see is really what you get. If you're a big fan of hers, I say it's worth a watch. Otherwise, there's not much that will appeal to you.

A paizuri-focused release starring Nina Nishimura? Why yes I will definitely take it. The setup is very straightforward as what you see is exactly what you get. It's just a series of scenes featuring her primarily in one central location moving around and tittyfuck a large group of guys. It's simple but you don't really need a deep plot for something like this, at least for me. The act itself is serviceable enough. So the paizuri action better be good then right? Well, it's a bit of a mixed bag. We're treated to about eight different tittyfuck scenes in all with no actual sex anywhere. So needless to say, if you don't like paizuri then don't bother with this one. Now I say it's mixed because many of the cumshots look rather sus and possibly fake which is a huge letdown.

Faking the cumshots with tittyfuck scenes is like telling a joke without a punchline, what's the point? Some do appear real but still, it's very disappointing that about half appear to be fake. On the positive side, she does deliver a good performance at least. She's quite playful and boasts solid energy throughout. And her tittyfuck technique itself is great as she always manages to wrap up fully with her tits which you'd expect with as much as she's working with. Lastly, we have the production values which are super basic. The whole film is shot in one house across different films with pretty samey lighting. It works as a simple backdrop for the main attraction, her paizuri. It's still an enjoyable film but the fake cumshots really detract a lot of satisfaction from the experience sadly.

These doujinshi adaptations can always be very hit-or-miss. Well, I'm happy to report that this one is easily a huge success. Now this film is an adaptation of a work titled "Kanojo no Imouto ga Kyonyuu MiniSkir JK de Koakuma-kei 2". The premise centers around a man who is being tested by his girlfriend's little sister to see if he's a good fit for her big sister. How does she test him? By fucking him over and over in a love hotel room of course. It's a bit absurd but it's to be expected with this genre. For what it's worth, it's a pretty faithful adaptation. The original work is only one chapter so it does flesh some scenes out and adds a few things to pad out the film. But it all compliments the original work and makes it even better. Now one critical element to any film in this genre's success is the casting and damn did they pick the perfect actress in Hana. Her bubbly personality and cute face are a perfect fit for this role on top of her lively facial expressions and great energy. That overly cutesy demeanor compliments the role wonderfully and with Hana it doesn't feel unnatural. Plus she rocks the schoolgirl attire and pigtails perfectly. Hana was the absolute right choice for this role.

The success of this adaptation doesn't just stop at the casting as the action is also pretty great. It mainly consists of two sex scenes alongside a bevy of handjobs, blowjobs, and paizuri. There's a large focus in particular on tittyfucking which aligns with the manga and with the star being Hana, it makes sense. The copious fake cumshots are a tad annoying but it comes with the territory of this genre and its adaptation. Lastly, we have the production values which are admittedly simple but effective. The whole film basically takes place in a single hotel room with the same lighting across each scene. However, the lighting does look terrific and compliments her figure nicely. And to be fair, there was only one location in the doujinshi so not much you can do there. Overall, I'd easily say that MIMK-148 is one of the better doujinshi adaptations of recent memory. The casting is genius, the wardrobe is spot-on, the action is good and the production values are simple but effective. A great watch for sure.

You know I was skeptical of Rin's transfer to Faleno at first. I thought she'd just be getting watered-down S1/IdeaPocket type plots but there have been some interesting setups for her such as this one here. The premise is pretty amusing casting Rin as a guy's new A.I powered sex doll. Honestly, it's a pretty genius casting for Rin as she certainly looks the part. Anyway, we see him use her over the course of the film as she begins to form her own personality and eventually becomes his full-on girlfriend at the end. It's a great premise that keeps your interest all the way through and features excellent pacing. And as I mentioned, Rin is such a good choice for this film. No offense to her but her plastic appearance suits this sex doll role perfectly. She even delivers a good performance to boot.

She's fittingly stiff and emotionless to start but opens up as the film progresses to becoming a willing participant by the end. She's historically been a very mediocre performer but I'll give her credit and say she's not half bad here. The action is mostly pretty good too consisting of two sex scenes and two blowjob scenes. Both sex scenes are quite nice especially the first one thanks to its impeccable lighting. The blowjob scenes though are forgettable and one I'm particularly frustrated by as it wastes the outstanding cover outfit. It's such a sexy piece and it's completely squandered. At the very least, the rest of the production values are exceptional such as the lighting, camerawork, and aforementioned pacing. I gotta admit, Faleno and Rin have put together some quality films lately with this one being yet another winner. It boasts an original and amusing plot backed up by some terrific production values and solid performance. It's easily one of her better releases.

It's been a hot minute since I last watched Nao Jinguji. I'm rather choosy when it comes to her but upon coming across this cover, how could I say no? The plot revolves around a man who is receiving tutoring from his older step-sister, Nao, in order to pass a test. She makes a promise that if he does so, she'll do anything he wants. So he decides to have her wear some obscene outfits like a reverse bunnygirl suit among a few others. And in typical JAV fashion, they end up fucking. It's an okay setup that at least makes for a sexy varied wardrobe. Speaking of which, that is easily one of the best asspects of the film. The eyecandy factor, especially with her big ass, is stunning here. She was already plenty meaty before but has seemingly put on a bit more weight giving her an extra dummy thick appearance.

Her ass in this looks insane and absolutely huge. That said, I do wish more attention was paid to it. The first and last sex scenes are brilliant and give us plenty of juicy booty shots. But the three scenes in between are completely devoid of that which is a major miss for me. They consist of a sex scene, blowjob scene, and a handjob scene. There's zero attention given to her ass in those scenes which is a major letdown. The sex scene at least is somewhat decent but the other two are a complete waste. Who thought it'd be a good idea to do a tittyfuck scene with Nao? C'mon now. On the plus side, she does deliver a superb performance. She's appropriately sulking and standoffish for most of the time until the end when she finally lets loose and enjoys herself. Her facial expressions are very fitting as well. And this is all topped off with some terrific production values leading to an overall quality film that I personally just wish had more ass focus. Otherwise, this could've been next level.

Last month saw a whole heap of nurse releases and that trend is continuing again with this new film from the lovely Ai Sayama. The premise is simple enough as the title suggests with it casting Ai as a lewd nurse who likes to get very hands-on with her patients often treating them via some paizuri and handjobs before moving on to full-on sex. I quite enjoyed this setup as each scene presents a slightly unique scenario that prevents the film from getting stale. Overall a straightforward nurse theme that gets the job done. The excellent production values certainly help in that regard. The lighting is nicely varied across each scene, the pacing is evenly balanced throughout, and her wardrobe is spot-on consisting of several sexy nurse uniforms that suit her extremely well.

The only complaint I have is that the camerawork can be hit-or-miss at times although I do really like the POV setup used in one of the scenes where she restrains you while giving you a tittyfuck. Seems like a good time to talk about the action next. It features three sex scenes, a handjob scene, and a paizuri scene. I appreciate the variety of sex acts and the fact that despite the fake creampies, she still ends up extracting a real load afterward. I will say the position variety is lacking as the first two sex scenes really only use cowgirl which is disappointing. I'll end this on a positive by saying her performance is super solid as always. She's not too over the top which is good while still boasting a nice sultry and seductive vibe. Definitely give WAAA-342 a watch if you're a fan of nurse themes.

I was reasonably excited about this one upon its release as the premise sounded interesting and the cover is pretty nice too. But the end result left me feeling quite mixed. The plot centers around a lucky guy who has an affair with his bored next-door neighbor(Nagi). It's a simple but effective fantasy as I think we'd all love to live this fantasy. So while I enjoyed the setup, there's one critical aspect that is a major letdown and that's her underwhelming performance. Now everyone knows Nagi isn't the best performer at all but even then, this is just awful. She has a few nice moments here and there but it's mostly dominated by a complete lack of effort whatsoever. Her facial expressions offer up no real emotion, her enthusiasm is nearly non-existent and overall she's just a log of wood. That blunder aside, the rest of the film is actually not too shabby starting with the action.

It consists of three sex scenes and a blowjob/handjob scene. For as disappointing as her performance was, the action really helps make up for it as it's fantastic in every way. The pacing is equally balanced, we get several real cumshots, and a very healthy array of positions such as doggystyle, cowgirl, missionary, and even some prone bone. And all this is further enhanced by the remarkable production values. That's what makes this film all the more frustrating as it's extremely well-shot. The camerawork is superb and even utilizes POV in one of the sex scenes to great effect. The lighting is nicely varied and compliments her figure nicely. And on top of that, her hair/makeup are on point. She is gorgeous here and still remains one of the prettiest actresses in JAV in my opinion. If only her acting was better or just even average, this could've been a home run. But the painfully lackluster performance keeps it from true greatness.
