Ranelar's 5 Under 5' - A Look At Five Busty Nymphs Under Five Feet Tall

I've always had a thing for really petite, well-proportioned girls.  There is something to be said about a lithe spinner with voluptuous breasts performing in JAV.  This post highlights some great starlets under 5' tall (152cm).  However, there are so many talented actresses in JAV -- how does one go about selecting just five of them?

The Guidelines

2. They had to be close to the golden ratio of beauty, which is 1.618 for chest to hip, and waist to hip
3. Japanese cup size of E or larger (equivalent to a US size D) to ensure they were busty

There were a lot options at the top of the range.  I could have chosen starlets like Yuma Asami, Marina Shiraishi, or the ravishing Aya Hirai.  Why Azusa?  Simple.  She's the only actress on this list whose dimensions exceed the golden ratio, coming in at 1.68!  With a tiny waist that competes with favorites like Aika Yumeno and a bust as large as Sora Aoi's, Azusa is one-of-a-kind.  Azusa started with SOD Create in 2018, and quickly branched out to work with other studios.  She had an explosive first year, with more than 30 titles just in 2018, but only a handful in 2019 -- it's likely that she's currently retired.  She's also done a handful of amateur videos, which are harder to find since as the featured actress is not always named. Azusa's titles mostly focused on younger roles, and her shy, cheerful personality shows through.

It's a cuckold themed movie that studio Das is known for.  Azusa's large, innocent eyes and shapely but dainty frame make her perfect as an aspiring starlet looking to achieve her dream.  The movie itself differentiates the boyfriend scenes from the NTR scenes with a good use of lighting.  The sex scenes with Azusa's manager are notably darker, backlit with a warm, sunset-like glow.  This gives a very sultry look to Azusa's skin tone.  To contrast, her modeling scenes and sex with her boyfriend are shot with a bright white backlight, giving her a more ivory, innocent look.

Azusa's manager towers over her in every scene.  The director chooses camera angles that promote her small figure, especially when he closes in tight on Azusa, placing most of her manager's hulking shape just out of frame.  The modeling bikini outfits display her ratio-defying physique for all to see.  I especially liked the crimson red pretzel bikini in the first scene with her manager -- it was a stellar choice by the wardrobe department.  She reminds me of like a younger, sexier version of famous Taiwanese-Hong Kong actress Shu Qi, who starred in a number of pink films back in the day.  Azusa plays the submissive, budding talent that's willing to sit on the casting couch in order to further her career -- she enjoys the minor fame of modeling, and being pampered during the shoots.  Since this film was only several months into her short career, I'd like to think Azusa was playing herself in the role.

Her performance is pretty great.  Just like her debut films with SOD Create, Azusa's grinding, undulating cowgirl is pretty fabulous to watch.  Oh, did I mention that she squirts too?  In the last scene, we also see Azusa creampied multiple times in a fairly sweaty, energetic romp.  I would have liked to see her flung around a bit more, taking advantage of her petite stature.  If you want to see wheelbarrowing, standing sex, and more adventurous positions in general, I'd recommend giving A Quickie Fuck As Soon As We Meet! I was extremely surprised to see Mion Sonoda at 4'11".  In her entire 5 year career, I don't think she has ever been cast in a younger role.  In fact, she's been cast in older sister, delivery health, and girlfriend roles in most of her titles.  Petite isn't the first thing I think of when I see Mion.  "Goddess" is more apt, with her measurements coming in at a 1.53 ratio - par for the course when describing a perfect body.  I mean, just look at her: long, shapely legs, a tiny waist, and soft breasts that threaten to spill out of anything she wears.

Prestige Summer Festival 2016: A Southern Paradise With Mion And Me - A Pussy Pounding Naked Vacation (ABP-504) [2016]

Mion is a princess of POV in this title.  This film is packaged as a choose your own adventure/dating simulator game, complete with an old school Nintendo Legend of Zelda-like title screen to start the journey.  The director put a lot of work into making it feel interactive, complete with period-authentic sound effects and menu options for the viewer to "choose".  Mion plays herself as an AV actress, but is also secretly your girlfriend.  You join her in Okinawa after one of her gravure shoots, and take a vacation to explore the islands. 

There's not really much in the way of outfits in this one, as Mion has her clothes stolen at the beginning of the film, and spends the rest of the 3.5 hour movie gloriously naked.  Short of the pesky mosaic, the viewer gets to see every single inch and angle of Mion's perfect body -- and in POV!  It's too bad they didn't do a VR release for this movie, it would have been immersive and wild.  All of the sex takes place outdoors and in nature, giving off a feeling of being lost and isolated from civilization.

Production values in this film are pretty good.  Shooting outdoors is always difficult, as weather and time of day are important factors to get right.  Shot in the style of a home video, the director chose vibrant settings with good light to really accentuate Mion's curvy, tight body.  The viewer gets to intimately experience her shapely, heavy E cup breasts, her soft, flat stomach, and firm ass.  The last scene is my favorite, with the viewer and Mion pounding away in the middle of a empty field of tall, bright green grass, surrounded by seemingly endless rolling hills.  You feel as if you and Mion are the only people left in the whole world, the sense is primal, with a very adam and eve-esque atmosphere.

Mion excels in this film as she plays herself as an AV actress that provides a girlfriend experience.  There's no need for "acting" in this film, just a fantastic performance from her with a sprinkle of plausible reality.  Her affectionate eye contact with the camera grabs the viewer's attention in each scene.  Mion possesses a hungry, yet subservient gaze whether she's giving the viewer a teasing blowjob or letting her tight, inviting pussy get banged in a variety of positions.  Her can-do, willing attitude lets the viewer feel as if they can do anything they want with her.  All in all, ABP-504 shows off why Mion had one of the best petite bodies in the business.

Small Stepsisters Fucked by Giant Family (SNIS-036) [2013]

I chose this film because it really contrasts Aika's petiteness against her male counterparts.  It's a collaboration with Saki Okuda (who is also coincidentally 4'10", but didn't make this list) where the two of them are stepsisters who have tragically lost their parents.  They end up living with distant relatives, a father with 4 sons.  And they're tall.  Very tall.  If you thought Aika was small before, this film highlights how tiny she really is.

S1 did a good job with this production.  The sheet metal factory and family house that sets the stage look to be in disrepair, convincingly representing the blue collar, working-class family the girls move in with.  With no one to take care of things, the shoji doors are faded, cracked and bubbled, while the kitchen built-ins are old and dirty.  The sheet metal factory is also a great setting, with bars on the windows representing a sexual prison for the girls.  Lighting is artificial since all scenes are indoors, and do a great job of showing off the glow of Aika's flushed pink, innocent body.

Aika's first scene in the kitchen is my favorite in this one.  The director creatively uses a chair to accentuate the extreme height difference.  Even while standing on the chair, Aika barely inches above her male counterpart.  The camera angles pull back enough in this cramped space to treat the viewer to Aika completely enveloped by her partner.  Whether its doggie or carrying her while standing, Aika's tiny pussy is completely destroyed, and she can't escape.  Her performance comes off quite authentic, with involuntary gasps and grunts as she is unable to fully handle her partner's girth.  Even through the mosaic, the raw redness around her pussy shows how hard she gets it.

The other scenes show Aika being thrown around like a rag doll.  She's effortlessly flipped upside down to do a standing 69, and gets wheelbarrowed between two guys in the final sixsome.  Her reluctant submission throughout the film adds to the sense of hopelessness and resignation to her new way of life.  There's no customary Aika smile here, nor is there an eagerness to perform, which fits the JAV theme well.  I applaud the effort taken to frame each scene's opening shot to show how diminutive Aika and Saki are, the top-down and bottom-up perspectives dwarf the girls among the men.  To sum up, SNIS-036 is a great film that has Aika's incredibly pliable body on full display, with an extra helping of petite on the side.

 

4'9" - Mahina Amane

This is where things started to get hard (pun intended).  At 4'9", the field consists of actresses that are typecast in younger roles exclusively.  Think studios Minimum and Muku, who focus on the young, innocent schoolgirl genre.  While it's easy to find girls that meet the height requirement, most of them are flat-chested and don't make the cut for cup size nor the golden ratio.  I felt I was scraping the bottom of the barrel to find the right one, but luckily S1 graced us with a new girl this year that fits the bill.

Mahina Amane debuted with S1 in June with SSNI-814, Amateur No. 1 Style, Mihina Amane Porn Debut.  S1 drew attention immediately to her 4'9" height with an eye-watering G-cup rack.  She's so new that as of this blog post, S1 still hasn't provided her full measurements.  Judging by her photos, height, and cup size, it's a fair assumption to say that her dimensions should be close enough to the golden ratio to make this list.

I chose Mahina's third and most recent title as of this post to showcase her busty petiteness.  The director used taller actors throughout the film, though with Mahina at 4'9", anyone pretty much towers over her.  The film is set in a luxurious, old, western-styled mansion, it looks like the one they use in most of their delivery health-themed videos. Production values are a bit inconsistent despite the indoor setting, as the lighting varies from spot-on soft to harsh and jarring.  Outfits are standard in this one as well, featuring Mahina in various little dresses and lingerie.  Despite some blemishes, I really love that the composition and choreography of each scene prominently frames Mahina's slight, curvy frame for the viewer's delight.

The first and last scenes start with Mahina on her tiptoes, stretching as tall as she can to make out with her partner.  I think putting her in a short dress was the right choice in these scenes, it accentuates her flexed ankles and gives the viewer a nice flash of her toned legs.  It's so sexy to get a glimpse of Mahina's large, bulging calves on her short, spinner body -- it tantalizingly foreshadows her fantastic sexual performance, bouncing like a taut springboard on her partner's lap.  Her breasts also look firm and shapely, gleaming with a bright sheen during some paizuri lotion play.  Like most films in this series, she engages in a variety of aggressive sex positions, and the camera does well to follow every delicious angle of Mahina's elastically tight physique.  Halfway through the film, she even attempts to deepthroat, which, for such a petite girl so early in her career, is an incredible sight.

Chika is the first actress that I selected for this list, and was the main reason why I decided to do this post.  Coming in at 4'8", the shortest girl on this list, she's remarkably buxom, with a generous E cup endowment and a 1.49 ratio.  That combination is pretty unique for such a tiny starlet.  Sadly, she had a short-lived career of only 6 films with HMP during a six month span from April-September in 2013.  I blinked and missed her completely when she debuted, and didn't discover her till a few years later.

Girls With Too Much Freedom And Too Few Lovers (HODV-20896) [2013]

Chika is friends with three guys in university, and they are a tight-knit group that hangs out often.  She is a pretty liberal girl, and has sex with all three of them (though not at the same time.  No foursome here, unfortunately).  Chika likes one of them more than the others, but he sadly rejects her -- it's a lightweight college romance movie with pretty low stakes.   Production values are great in this film.  The sets are warmly lit to show off Chika's alabaster skin tone, the outfits are very college-esque chic, and the camera angles are intimate.  Her partners are all believably youthful looking enough to sell the story.  To me, this title presented itself as a milder version of S1's Mixed Bodily Fluids, Deep Sex series.

The director didn't need to do much to call attention to Chika's compact stature, as the top of her head only reaches chest height for each of her partners, and she's always looking up.  Her first sex scene has her completely engulfed by her man, his body smothering her on the bed.  The viewer sees her delicateness by how careful her partner is trying not to break her while they get it on.  It's an affectionate scene with mostly vanilla lovemaking.  I wish she had been placed in more adventurous positions to showcase her lightness, like a standing upside down 69, wheelbarrow, or up against the wall missionary.  I was hoping for some ambitious sex, like Yume Takeda's unforgettable film He's Up To 30cm Taller, And Up To 60kg Heavier 8 Hours Of Fucking With Giant Men Until The Last Train Home It's Like Fucking Gulliver! (STAR-860).

Despite the rather ordinary performance in the first scene, Chika shows us a bit of her naughtier side in the second.  They put a braid in her hair for an innocent look, but she quickly subverts those expectations. She gives us a bit of paizuri with her solid, dense breasts, and at one point, spits on her partner's cock to get some extra lubrication.  For JAV standards, especially for such a new actress at the time, that's unexpectedly hot and dirty -- it got me wondering if Chika gained some inspiration from western porn.  Her performance in this scene and the last is aggressive, she's like a young Olympic gymnast bouncing on a trampoline as she rides her man.  Overall, this movie is a great case for why Chika Haruno is the shortest and bustiest, while still well-proportioned girl in this 5 under 5' list.  It's really a shame that her career ended so soon, I felt she had a lot more to give to the JAV industry.  Nevertheless, the 6 movies she put out showed us a range of roles she could have played had she continued, and I'm happy she left us with those mementos.

 

Girls Who Narrowly Missed the Cut

There were a few girls whom I had top of mind, but didn't make the list because they failed to fall into the guidelines for selection.  I wanted to mention them here, because they are pretty exceptional.  Perhaps I'll find an excuse to blog about them next time.

 

Ruri Nanasawa

Ruri Nanasawa missed the cut by an inch, at 5'1" (155cm).  Like Chika Haruno, Ruri had a short career from 2011-2012 and just a handful of films.  She first filmed with KUKI before moving on to Studio Kawaii. Ruri was a young, eager sexpot, and had the body, talent, and capability to rival even the likes of Tsukasa Aoi.  A couple of films that I liked were I Will Teach You The Secret Of The Pretty Girl Next Door (ADZ-286) and What You've Been Waiting For - Her kawaii* Debut: Beautiful Shaved Pussy Girl vs Massive Cocks (KAWD-366).  Both show off Ruri's slim E-cup body and performance enthusiasm among bigger men -- it's very satisfying to watch small ladies like her get simultaneously worshipped and conquered in these films.  I wish she would have stayed.

 

Hirono Imai

Hirono Imai was going to be my pick at 4'9", but her D-size bust fell below the requirement.  Her career lasted from 2009-2012, a pretty respectable length of time, and amassed a collection of almost 50 titles.  She worked with a variety of studios, such as Alice Japan (where she started), Hibino, IdeaPocket, Super Shirouto, and even Madonna.  She started out pretty strong, but seemed to peter out near the end, and didn't have a formal retirement video.  Still, she's one of my top favorites to this day.  She was a pint-size firecracker that loved to perform.  She was typecast in mostly younger roles, but occasionally stretched the boundary and also played the young wife, reporter, and even did some cosplay.  A couple of my favorite videos: My Cute Little Sister Hirono and Our Everyday Creampie Sex (SACE-048) and A 147cm Tall S-Class Amateur With An Anime Voice For Rent (SAMA-524).  Hirono is especially first-rate in her POV roles, with consistent, communicative eye-contact with the camera throughout her performances.  And for something a little more dirty, she stunned me in Brutal G******g 100 (SHKD-454) with some really aggressive full-body licking (if you're into feet, you might like this one).  Hirono was a fantastic actress that you should definitely check out.
 

Shouko Kumakura

Lessons Learned From This Exercise

There was a lot I didn't anticipate when I put this together.  Here are some of my observations:

• It was pretty easy to find actresses at 5', but much more challenging with every shorter inch.
• Some of my favorite petite actresses were not on this list because of the cup size requirement
• Some actresses who typically play younger roles are actually taller than 5' (see the ladies who missed the cut above)
• Using inches instead of cm gave me more leeway with actress selection, so I could round down to the nearest inch if she was somewhere in between
