Romporn is a word I invented to describe a genre that I discovered only recently, but thinking back, is probably always hiding in plain sight (for example, MIAA-076 that was mentioned in my love for Fukada). I’ve started writing an thesis on this topic that’s getting TLDR even for myself. Finally I decided to first put out a review of a single (recent) title, and then mention some older titles and (over)analyze what romporn is about, in my next article.

Hikari Azusa 梓ヒカリ, a 20 year old contract girl who debuted in March, has nice enough measurements 89F-54-86 and a pretty face as far as young women goes, but amongst the highly competitive field of JAV idols, she is hardly an attention grabber.  Likewise IPX-548 Business Trip Destination Shared Room NTR is easily overlooked, yet-another vanilla title starring one idol, one stud, in one session. I honestly can't remember why or how I stumbled to watch this AV.

Plot

Hikari lives with a boyfriend, Boyii who’s quite a loser, having no job and content with living off Hikari's income. She says she will be back at work on time the next morning, cue for Boss to leave but he declares he will have to stay the night with her since this was the last available room. This clumsy situation jolted Azusa and she clears her head. The embarrassing silence was broken by Azusa’s phone ringing. The suddenly concerned Boyii is calling again, perfect timing: Hikari would be saved!  

But what is it? Something else is churning in her head? Or body?? She hesitates and reaches for the phone so so slowly that the ringing stops. All the while Boss is watching intently, amused and confident. She retracts her hand from the phone and sit back on the bed, eyeing Boss nervously as he finally gets on the bed and on top of her. This terrifies Hikari and she wiggles away but futilely. He helped himself to all her body parts and she resists but with just not enough effort to stop him. Her hands and her words might be pushing back, but her throat and vagina were moist and receptive. 

As the sexual marathon grind on, Boyii made several calls. At first the ringings were ignored, then after more than an hour (a time stamp appears to inform the viewer) and multiple orgasms for both Boss and Hikari, Boss is feeling both confident and naughty. He picked up the ringing phone and put it on her face without pausing his banging. She is in very poor condition to hold a proper conversation with a boyfriend. All she managed was to hold back a squeal from each and every doggie style thrusting, she mumbled some generic response and hung up in the middle of Boyii asking if there’s someone else present. This is exactly what Boss wanted to see: Boyii figured out something is off and Azusa knows it, and doesn’t care. And she knows Boss knows that she doesn't care what Boyii is suspecting. This is the point of no return. Up to now, Boss was the active party, pushing his cock into her mouth, mounting her from above or behind, using his physical strength. Now Hikari drops all pretension of resisting as Boss strips her naked and engaged in paizuri, cowgirl, sexual positions that she is active.

Afterthought

The 120 minutes porn video held back on any nudity or even any hint or mention of sex for a full 19 minutes, devoting all the screen time at the start, with multiple scenes with different characters, costumes and sets to build up the drama, before the porn finally takes over. If I could suggest any improvement of the film, I would have showed Boyii’s romantic and sexual insufficiency as well as his lack of career ambition. It would seed her seeking solace in alcohol later that evening and subconsciously (?) inviting Boss’ advance. Towards the end (as is common) the scenes are so heavily tilted towards porn that story is pretty much forgotten. It would be a huge boost to close out the drama with Hikari coming back home to a stare-down with Boyii, inviting the viewers to speculate the evolution of her relationship with both Boss and Boyii.

I tried to figure out if IPX-548 is a special gem or it's in fact common and only that I was blind to subtle stories in vanilla titles. Going by its promotional blurb, trailer and photos, there's no hint of a deeper story and character building. For one thing, the next video in the series IPX-572, starring Iroha Natsume 夏目彩春 with the same stud, directed by a ザック荒井, is just another unremarkable netorare title. Chatting with other insiders, seems even the meaning of netorare (寝取られ) is rather nebulous, as the literal translation, infidelity or unfaithful, is quite missing the point. But digging into NTR will have to be another little research project after some more exploration into Romporn.  Next article will be soon, I promise!
