I think it's safe to say that the general consensus for her previous film was that it was incredibly lackluster. But this one looked to be better from the trailer with Rara Anzai playing a cheating wife caught in an affair. Maybe this would be the role to push her to up her acting. Or perhaps it's just more of the same. Only one way to find out...

Plot

Thankfully SSIS-050 features more of a central premise than her last video. The setup revolves around a man going to his boss's house for a drink after work. He meets his boss's wife(Rara Anzai) and the two hit it off and she seemingly invites him back another day when her husband is out of town. She ends up drinking a bit too much and she proceeds to make some moves onto him. Naturally, the two have sex throughout the evening, night and morning. It's a very simple plot that has been done before and one I personally feel lukewarm about. It's not terrible but doesn't really go anywhere or do anything particularly interesting. Just average at best.

Sex

Probably the best aspect of this film but that's not saying much at all unfortunately. In total there are 4 sex scenes which does sound good on paper but in practice here leaves a lot to be desired. I'll get into specific issues later on in the production quality portion but the biggest problem is 3/4 feel exactly the same with just minor lighting adjustments. The quality of the sex itself is relatively fine with a decent range of positions at least. But there's nothing truly memorable here at all.

Production Quality

Now here is where this film truly falls apart. The setting variety is downright pitiful. As I stated earlier 3 out of 4 scenes use the EXACT same room with the only slight difference being some very minor lighting adjustments. It essentially makes each of those scenes feel identical and very repetitive. The other sex scene at least takes place in a different room but that hardly makes an impact overall. Her wardrobe is mostly a non-factor as she spends most of the film nude. Not a big problem mind you but it's always nice to see some nice outfits or lingerie. Another issue is the pacing as it takes over half an hour before any real action starts. The lighting is okay at best and the camerawork is quite solid. But beyond that, it's incredibly lazy and poorly produced.

Overall Satisfaction

Overall this feels like a haphazardly slapped-together film. The setting variety is absolutely pathetic, the plot is barebones and the action is very repetitive. Of course, I can't forget to mention her acting. What do I need to say? You all know what to expect by now. Rara delivers yet another underwhelming performance with minimal enthusiasm and some of the worst paizuri technique I've ever seen. She has a few nice moments occasionally but those are few and far between. In the end, this film is only marginally better than her last outing. We're now 2 films deep into her return and so far the results are less than stellar.
