Typically most of Rara Anzai's better films incorporate a premise of some sort. After two rather disappointing films, it was reassuring to see a video with a plot on the horizon. However, does this film make the most of it or is it a swing and a miss? Read on to find out!

Plot

Yes, this film does feature a plot but to be honest it's rather simple and straightforward. The premise centers around a man who has recently moved into the neighborhood. One of his neighbors just happens to be Rara Anzai of course and her boyfriend I assume. She begins to take a liking to him and before you know it the two are going at it. It features a little bit of risk with the pair having sex while her boyfriend or whatever is right in the next room but other than that it's just regular sex. The plot overall is just okay at best. It certainly helps to stage the scenes and makes them a bit more compelling but it's rather basic and doesn't really go anywhere.

Sex

Throughout its nearly 2 and a half hour runtime, it features about 4 scenes in all. What's especially nice is that every single scene is a full sex scene with actual real cumshots, no fake creampies or anything. Now I will say it's a bit lame that each one is the exact same with the guy cumming on her tits in the same exact fashion. I know some may nitpick that there wasn't any sweaty sex despite hinting at it on the cover but I don't mind. And to be fair there is some sweat involved, just not a lot. The quality of the sex is pretty solid with decent position variety and some paizuri. It's certainly a bit vanilla but it's S1 so it shouldn't be too surprising. All in all not too bad.

Production Quality

The production quality is a bit of a mixed bag. On the plus side, the lighting is pretty good for the most part besides maybe being a bit too harsh in a few scenes. The camerawork is solid and does a great job at capturing some real nice angles of Rara. But that's about where most of the praise ends. The set design variety is quite terrible. Every single scene takes place in the same exact room with only minimal lighting changes. It makes each scene feel rather repetitive. Also, the pacing is quite bloated as the film stretches 4 scenes out across 2 hours and 20 minutes. I understand some of it is designed to flesh out the plot a bit but Rara's acting doesn't make it too compelling.

Overall Satisfaction

After having been disappointed by her last 2 releases I went into this one with mild expectations and came out satisfied for the most part. Rara Anzai looks pretty damn good here which I know some may will disagree saying she's put on too much weight but I don't mind at all. She still makes for some stunning eye candy. But sadly I can't give too much praise to her acting. Her performance is what you've come to expect from her. I will say she seems slightly more engaging and expressive here than in recent memory but only just slightly. She still lacks conviction and proper enthusiasm. In the end, SSIS-103 is a decent watch with enjoyable action and gorgeous eye candy as always. Other aspects may leave something to be desired but it's not enough to truly ruin the film. I ultimately say it's worth a watch if you're a fan of Rara. If not, don't bother as I doubt this would change your opinion on her.
