The Glory of JAV Gloryholes

Sex in general is a comical thing, this we know - a long flesh popsicle is inserted into the woman rapidly, and sex is pleasurable, making people happy, so it's only natural that pornography tries to make humorous concepts to pair with sex. The gloryhole is a perfect encapsulation of this: a disembodied penis hangs out of a wall or object, and a woman is curious to the point of pleasuring it.

The absurd concept makes for a highly erotic scenario, and what's astounding is that the gloryhole is a fetish that's mostly seen in the West (and was probably created there as well). Considering how comical and strange gloryholes are, one would sooner suspect they first appeared in JAV, as a lot of JAVs are naturally strange and make use of bizarre fetishes.

All that being said, I'm going to thoroughly analyze every aspect of gloryholes and list what I believe to be negative and positive aspects of the fetish when it comes to JAV and pornography.

What I figure to be the most obvious positive attribute to gloryhole JAV/porn is the fact that you see much less of the male actor. It's annoying (for some male watchers, anyway) having to stare at a man's face or abs when you want to just ogle the woman, so a gloryhole essentially removes 95% of the man.

With such a fetish, watchers will get to focus mostly on the woman as she pleasures the random male appendage hanging out of the wall. This allows the woman to demonstrate her sexual skills as well, as the man can't really do anything to the woman whilst behind a wall.

In addition, you'll likely hear less moaning from the man, as it'll sometimes be muffled behind said partition (or just not in range of the microphone).

A gloryhole is comical: it's a hole with a man's penis passing through it for the sole sake of something sexual to take place. Because of how simple it is, a gloryhole can technically be anywhere. From a bathroom to a hole in an office wall, a gloryhole can be set in almost any type of environment, allowing for a decent amount of variety.

The gloryhole doesn't even technically have to be on a wall. It could be a penis sticking up from inside the truck of a car, from a tree, or something else unique in entirety. The limit is only the extent of the JAV creator's creativity. That being said, I haven't seen many erotic movies that take advantage of this!

Possibly a stronger aspect for women performing the pleasuring on the penis, some have a fetish for having sexual encounters with those they don't know, and gloryholes add an extra layer of anonymity as the two individuals don't see or (necessarily) verbally interact with each other. There's a degree of sexual allure for men as well, though I suppose it's also less erotic from the perspective of a JAV watcher.

There's also the fact that JAV don't have to limit things to a single gloryhole. A scene could have multiple gloryholes at once, letting men indulge in multiple females. This seems to be even more rare than gloryhole JAV in themselves though.

Some also often forget that the gloryhole doesn't have to solely be used for penises, as a vagina could be presented through one instead. While there's a lot less a man could do to the vagina on the opposite side here, there's still the option to present a gloryhole sex scene this way.

Honestly, I think the most major point of allure to the gloryhole fetish is just the fact that it's weird, comical, and just a different way that sex can be done. A change of pace is always good, especially for JAV.

Some might find this to be a bigger negative than others, but by reducing the man to just being a disembodied penis in the wall, it takes away more of the "human" element to the interactivity. The woman is doing most the work, and the man can't really do much of anything, since he's "stuck" in a wall, making the pleasure one-sided. Some would prefer the male to actually be able to do something, whether it be touching/playing with the woman, or using his penis more actively, but the gloryhole fetish limits that greatly.

Unfortunately, despite the amount of creative things you could do with gloryholes (or things you could turn INTO a gloryhole), JAV in general don't really take advantage of this uniqueness. In fact, you rarely see gloryholes in JAV at all, let alone see one dedicated solely to the fetish, much like other fetishes, like handjobs, nurses, etc.

The only thing a lot of gloryhole scenes do is place the gloryhole in different settings. Almost never do you see JAV making use of say, more than one gloryhole, and most of the sex acts performed is oral (at least, from my experience). This will no doubt be disappointing for those who really like the fetish, as I'd say there's a lot of potential behind it.

While most gloryhole videos typically focus on oral play, any kind of intimacy can be done. Tit fucks, handjobs, even sex, all are possibilities with gloryholes. However, sometimes these other fetishes have some awkward disadvantages. While a tit fuck is possible, the woman is kind of right butt up against the wall.

This leads into another negative point, that being the camera. With one of the actors essentially being stuck in place, there isn't room for a lot of creative or interesting camera work, or positioning for the actors themselves. Naturally, this can lead things to be pretty boring and repetitive.

Another possibly minor negative is the fact that, due to the man being mostly not visible, gloryhole scenes are probably more likely to use fake penises. Considering there is censorship and the industry apparently uses a lot of fake penises already, this might not be a big issue to some watchers, but I think this lack of authenticity can degrade the quality a bit. Especially if there is a rather unrealistic amount of semen, but, opinions will vary from person to person.

While on the subject of gloryholes, I will also share my opinions about the idea of using them in reality, as opposed to just talking about the concept from a pornographic perspective.

Of course, the most obvious benefit to gloryholes is that the attractiveness of the male usually doesn't matter, since, obviously, nothing other than his penis is being exposed. Of course, the appearance and cleanliness of the man's member might be judged, but as far as personal beauty goes, that is usually not a factor.

Another positive is that the woman's beauty is also taken out of the equation. The man doesn't have to concern himself with whether or not the woman is attractive enough to his liking, as he won't be seeing the woman. The only thing that matters is her ability to stimulate and provide pleasure.

One last benefit is the fact that a gloryhole experience is (possibly) an anonymous encounter, so you might not need to worry about knowledge of your antics spreading about in the real world.

I think most rational people would first see the many, many negative aspects to gloryholes before any of the positives. First and foremost, sticking your penis somewhere you can't see is naturally quite dangerous. You have no know idea if the other side is simply going to result in damage to the most sensitive part of your body. Of course, the second thing most men would think about is whether or not there's an actual woman on the other side. While this is less of an issue for bisexuals, men would be worried they aren't being pleasured by a woman. Of course, there might be some men who are just that desperate...

There's also the chance that the whole thing isn't actually anonymous. After all, you can't see what is on the other side of the partition. One last aspect is the fact that the chance of getting a gloryhole opportunity is probably far less than that of finding any other kind of service due to how specific of an encounter it is, so likely most men would just settle for a different form of stimulation instead. I imagine the most common place to find a gloryhole would be in a bathroom, and probably a men's bathroom, so straight men would obviously not benefit from this.

There are some other negative details, but I feel these are probably the most poignant ones that people would think about.

Gloryholes are an extremely comical and erotic concept, but perhaps not as much so when it comes to actually doing it in reality. Like most quirky fetishes, the gloryhole is a perfect addition to any JAV, and it encourages even more strange antics in a pornographic film, which can help to make it more entertaining or memorable.
