Why Humor is the Best Accompaniment to JAV

For those not familiar with Japan on a cultural level, TV programs and variety shows are known to often focus on comedy and making people smile. A lot of the time, they incorporate an atmosphere that usually goes "over the top", or tends to "exaggerate" to get a reaction out of the viewer, such as actors talking with a more grandiose level of emotion than what is deemed normal. Scenes that are not entirely serious or so focused on the actual thrusting, such as a JAV with a ridiculous premise or exaggerated situations, can help instill a more light-hearted and comical atmosphere.

Humor is a part of reality and not just entertainment and hobbies, and a lot of the time it plays a role in real life relationships. Making someone laugh or feel happy is a natural part of romance, and it can help to lead a relationship to somewhere more passionate. Even though JAV is something that is watched and not personally interacted with by the viewer, humor can help make romantic scenes in a JAV feel more impactful. Comedic interactions between actors in a film could help to build up their connection/relationship, making their eventual love-making more impactful and emotional. While a lot of JAV watchers could likely care less about the actual romantic building between characters in a film, such a thing can help give a JAV more depth.

Comedy can also help to humanize characters, demonstrating how they interact with each other and establish connections that aren't necessarily sexual. One actor could be rather clumsy and often find themselves in humiliating situations, making for many laughable moments, while at the same time showcase the actor's charisma.

On that note, humor naturally also makes most things more entertaining in general. Laughter and joy help to create a sense of relaxation in the minds of watchers, which could help to ease those who might be tense or anxious at the thought of watching obscene and lewd moments in an adult video.

Humor allows JAV to be watchable without the viewer taking things too seriously, or make them have to think too hard about the plot, story, characters, or anything like that. Instead it's all about spreading joy and pleasant feelings, whether it's simply joy or physical pleasure. A watcher can laugh and enjoy a work without feeling overwhelmed or put off by the explicitness.

Perhaps the watcher in question doesn't particularly want to laugh, which is a possibility, but humor is such a natural part of sex, and is so often implemented in JAV, that sometimes it's just unavoidable, but I think the inclusion of humor is almost always a positive one.
