To me, Konan wins this in a rout. Aka has an unfortunate case of what I'd call "fat girl face." As pointed out, she's probably in better shape than Konan, and she certainly isn't ugly. She just kind of looks like she should be in the BBW category when I look at her, and she wouldn't stand out there. Konan, on the other hand, looks skinny and it's always a bit surprising that she's got a bit of a tummy. This could also just be me trying to rationalize why Aka doesn't quite do it for me.

Interesting read. For me, it's pretty simple. JAV stars are just so incredibly attractive. Western porn stars are often "fucking hot" and that's it. I routinely discover new JAV actresses where I think "this is just straight up one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen."

Agree with most of this. HUGE agree on Maria Nagai. She may be fake, but she has a unique look for JAV, and it's fucking hot. I actually think Eimi Fukada might be leaning into her own "unique" look where she's trying to look like a sex doll, but it isn't working out quite as well. I still find her quite attractive though. One thing I will push back on is the debuts. While they do follow the same formula for the most part, I have noticed that that formula often includes one scene where the actress gets a massive facial. Like a 1 out of 100 scenes level load. Since we know facials are better than creampies, this idea will have me continuing to check out debuts.
