I'm waiting for the triple threat of AIKA, Yui Hatano and Hibiki Otsuki coming in that WANZ 10 minute series sometime soon (There were SNS photos of them from it at some point in early Feb, so I'd expect the video in early/mid June tops).

Really not a fan of this DAS series (as there was at least 1 other entry with AIKA and some newer actress), doesn't use their talents well and I guess I expect this kind of plotline to go the way of dodo if/when western billing rules reach Japan

Not really surprised by AIKA not doing well on the physical front. I think about a movie/month in 2023, various quality of studios, hardly any physical versions with at least signed chekis. I'd love to see a digital sales equivalent (even if only with 2023 releases to make it somewhat comparable to DVD ranking - remove the histori advantage of veteran actresses)

re: AIKA. I agree - what makes her is her charisma. Unlike Yui, I wouldn't say that she has many more years left in the tank, but who knows. (Also in her recent post on instagram she gave a bit of a life update - first year of her beauty salon was about breakeven (with referral only system); looking to expand to a second shop in the new year, got diagnosed with manic depression (bipolar?) at some point in the summer after an unspecified accident).

I've been a fan of Marin Hinata for 2 years and this point and I'm not sure that I can agree about her retirement being 'big news'. She did her 2-3 years at S1, 1 choppy year at Premium and that was that. Her body was great, but she's been a super middling performer. Nothing to write home about I think.
