JAV inside workings: how a new girl starts career and did Yui Shirasaka overshare? Part 2Some JAV stars just do it for the money and doing something unique for a time so once their contract is done, they quietly bow out of the industry.

Yume Takeda being erased from JAV historyI wrote a piece at Sankaku Complex that touched upon the 2016 issues. Please do a search for ""Mosaic & JAV: Why Is It There, Why Does It Vary, & Will It Ever Get Thin Again?" and you'll see it.

EXCLUSIVE: Ai Uehara is attempting to covertly take down her massive JAV catalogWhile R18 is owned by DMM, they have leeway into sales and whatnot. It's not like every action is closely watched by those above. If they got wind of AiU delisting her works, they may have somewhat secretly pushed through a sale to catch the uptick in people in the know buying her things before it is too late (though with DRM, I wonder what happens when they get delisted? Can't play any more on one's computer I take it?).

JAV inside workings: how a new girl starts career and did Yui Shirasaka overshare? Part 2The greatest thing about JAV is the barrier to entry for studios is very low. Be it S1, Moodyz, or random mid-tier studios, the cost to shoot a title isn't much. It's possible larger studios can GUARANTEE that they'll hire the actress for X amount of movies over Y period of time, but the pay per title probably won't be much different sans guarantee.
