2024 Debut Review - Asuna Hoshi

Asuna is an actress I've been keeping tabs on every since she debuted for E-Body back in January. E-Body has had a string of these decently sized women and it was inevitable I would watch at least some of them. Unlike most of them, Asuna stood at lot bigger at 100cm both in her bust and hips. That meant that she would be more of a BBW and perhaps wind up in other places, as she ultimately did. I must admit that put me a bit on the fence but when people started recommending her I decided what the heck.

Facially I found Asuna relatively plain. Her plus-sized figure contributed to her face being physically bigger, giving her awkward dimples in places or big rosy cheeks. I think that maybe you get the angle and lighting right she can look fine, but generally speaking I was a little underwhelmed.

Asuna's tits were also underwhelming. They might technically be big but if I'm saying that you know there's going to be some caveats. The simple truth is that Asuna's body was big, enough so that her boobs seemed small on her frame. There's a sort of minimum ratio you need actresses to be with their boob size to their body size, and Asuna was below it. I find this to be especially true for bigger women like her.

Asuna's ass was not half bad but it was more of that large style than curvy. With the right position or back arch it could really stand out but I found more often than not it was just big and nothing special. You can see what I mean comparing the two clips, that bent over without an arch it looks so-so but properly hunched in cowgirl it looked fairly nice.

As I mentioned above, Asuna's body wasn't for me. It was definitely on the bigger side and there were lots of unpleasant things all over, whether it was her arms showing extra weight on them, her chin or neck area, or just her midsection being a lot bulkier. There wasn't really any position that made it better, she was just a big woman. Maybe some people will enjoy that, and while I'm usually a bit indifferent to that, it's also usually when they're a bit bustier as well to compensate. I found even with her clothes on you could really tell.

Asuna's paizuri was pretty solid. Enough of a head on her to act and chat during it and enough skill not to need to look down or fiddle with it. The technique didn't really stand out but it doesn't have to in order for it to still come across quite nicely.

Asuna's orgasms were quite nice. I really enjoy orgasms that are stronger and more powerful like hers as they come across much more realistic. The whole body shaking was nice, especially with how easily visible it was.

In general Asuna's performance was a bit underwhelming. I expected a little more from this plot with her being into it but she was a little too much of a fish for my taste. Just a lot of generic moaning and surprisingly little engagement. She didn't really kiss him all that much and didn't maintain much eye contact either.

What does one do when they're out in the boring countryside? Why, have sex with the neighbour's wife, of course! Asuna and her neighbour become lovers during his stay.

I found the video was quite shallow for what it was. These sweltering heat countryside videos are nothing new but you always need a little bit of a build up to make things work. The video really just went full steam from the get go and it felt like it was a little bit too rushed, like everyone was just looking for an excuse to have sex (and in Asuna's case, ignore her husband). It had some risky elements that made it a bit better but it still felt like it needed to simmer a bit longer. The action was still generally fine with lots of different positions and whatnot, even if it was sadly all on a futon and felt very sameish. I could appreciate Asuna being covered in sweat (or more like water) just as a small added bonus. Nothing inspiring when Asuna herself was fairly average.

Asuna has starred all over the place, from places at the top like Moodyz down to the bottom of the barrel like First Star and everything in between. It feels like everyone is trying to capitalize on her fame at the moment because it does feel like she's more popular now than her long term success will look like. She seems more like this relatively low tier actress which I think is evidenced by some of the studios she's working with. If you end up working for a studio I've straight up never heard of before, probably not a good sign. She doesn't star too often with others but they've managed not one but two videos alongside Reo Fujisawa. That makes a lot of sense to me as she is the natural comparison to Asuna. I think Reo is definitely a size or two bigger but considering how few plus-sized women like them can maintain mainstream success, it's really not surprising to see them pairing. What is surprising is to see how little she does work with others just because in the grand scheme of things, they could be marketing her more. Sure, Reo is at the same agency, but so is Yuri Honma. I would be a little surprised if she and Yuri didn't work together in 2025 while Asuna's stock is still high.

Asuna also has a smattering of VR. While some of it feels more bland, some of it actually does feel unique and interesting. Either way though, several VR in her first year (not to mention the sheer amount of content) is a great thing.

Asuna feels like an actress that is punching above her weight at the moment (pun intended). She doesn't strike me as good as others think she is and I feel like it's more so a factor of slim pickings for actresses of her physical type. I feel like you don't come to JAV for BBW because you can count the number of thriving BBW without taking off your shoes. That ultimately means that someone like Asuna stands out a lot more than she otherwise would. You see her career trending toward the lower places of the industry, capitalizing in niches and her body more than anything. I expect fewer videos for the likes of Moodyz or Wanz Factory and much more on the side of these unknown studios. I still have some faith in a good video or two coming out, especially if there are other BBW in town you like. Asuna feels like someone they rightfully will come up with a good opportunity or two with, whether it's pairing her up with Reo again or finding another BBW like Nina Nishimura. I'm not necessarily excited for it but I can definitely be convinced with the right video.
