There's A New AV Idol Group In The Block!

Starting the column with some fresh news straight from the AV scene, kudos to the fans because a new idol group has just made their way into AV! Remember that show I covered a while back? Yep, it's trending again. Earlier this month, the late-night variety show "Tsukito Mogura" that I’ve happened to have covered a while ago announced the formation of Mi Luna, an idol group consisting of current AV actresses. "From the terrestrial variety show Idol project starts. The three members of the stage version of Moon and Mole's "Ozuki Girls" are still fresh in our minds, and they are really going to try their hand at idol activities"

So, you might wonder who's in this newly formed girl band? As per sources, we’ve got Moodyz exclusive Nana Yagi, an two of the best performers in Ideapocket’s current roster Miho Nana and Honaka Furukawa. Furthermore these three are gearing up for their official debut on December 22, with the CD set to drop on January 24 next year with their tracks readily available on streaming platforms. So, get ready to stream their tunes!

Now, some of you might wonder, why this particular trio is joining forces to become an idol group? Turns out, they've previously rocked the stage together on the late-night show "Tsukito Mogura" where they performed under the stage name, Bicycle Girls. Clearly, the response was top-notch, so they're leveling up to officially form an idol group. Honoka Furukawa was super thrilled about the announcement, "We made this announcement on-air yesterday! The three former Bicycle Girls have decided to form a real idol unit! The story went so fast that I was too surprised to see the reaction of the wipes, but for more details, please watch the video from which the quote was taken! We still don't know what's going to happen, but for now, the three of us will just have to hang in there."

I expect, this whole gig should be a dream come true for Nana. Not only is she a vetted actress in the current AV scene, but she's always had a soft spot for making good use of her vocals. Picture her with a guitar, belting out tunes live, that’d be a sight for her fans. Now, she's kicking off an idol group and will be dropping some sick records in no time. You bet she’s on cloud nine right now. And then we’ve Honoka and Yagi who happen to be the best of friends behind the scenes. Here's what Miho had to say about the same, "What a surprise! Before I knew it, a lot of things had been decided rapidly, and I'm going to make my idol debut on 22 December with Yagi and Honoka! I can't stop being excited and thrilled! "

But what’s interesting is that Yagi's a bit of an oddball in this trio. She happened to debut back in December 2019, so she's got a solid two and a half years more experience under her belt compared to the rest two. You could say she's sort of like the older sister in the mix. It’d be interesting to see how the cool older sister with two younger siblings gels in with the two as Nana's often doing her own thing, while Miho and Furukawa are kind of inseparable.

Now, it's all about waiting and watching how this newfound group’s gonna roll. It's something we certainly didn't see coming and is another prime example of the JAV industry tapping into the idol market. I believe, it’s time to grab the popcorn and see how this musical adventure unfolds for these three amazing ladies.

Akari Mitani Is The Latest To Leave AllPro

Big news alert for our daily readers out there! Former AV star Shoko Takahashi's agency, ListerPro, just made it official on their website announcing the much-anticipated signing of Akari Mitani. Apparently, she's not alone in this. Following the footseps of her industry bestie Ayaka Yamagishi, Mitani's bidding farewell to AllPro as well and embracing a whole new identity in the process, now she’ll go by the name Akane Mitani with a slight change to the moniker. "The affiliated office changed to Lister Pro And the name will also change! From Akari Mitani I changed my name to Mitani Akane! From now on I'm going to have fun shooting intense AV!", mentioned the actress on X

As per sources, these two friends have ditched their original agencies for LiStarPro. It's wild how they both landed in the same place, right? Talk about a power move!

But things weren’t all smooth sailing for Akari. Her departure from her former agency wasn't your typical "let's part ways and move on" scenario. Turns out, her old agency was getting some unwanted heat and neglect from JAV’s eight major studios. Now, that's enough to throw anyone off balance. Understandably upset about the situation, she made the leap straight to ListerPro, following in the footsteps of her pal Ayaka.

But here's a trivia for you guys, the name game wasn't in her favor this time. Unlike before, when her name was given to her by AllPro (her former agency), this time around, her previous bosses at the Cruise Group put their foot down. They weren't about to let her carry on using the name she had before. Bummer, right? So, Mitani had to hit the rebranding button, and there was no way around it. Hence, the birth of what she’ll go on to be known as from now on, Akane Mitani.

Now, the big question lingering in everyone's minds is: after bidding adieu to AllPro and rocking a brand new name, will she still score gigs with the major eight JAV studios? That's the million-dollar question that has her fans in limbo.

Speculations are also rife that there might be some serious shuffling happening behind the scenes. Is AllPro losing most of it’s leading talents and shipping them over to LiStarPro? With the latest transfers, It's starting to feel a lot like a JAV soap opera, but I hope we’ve the answers to that soon.

Meanwhile, fans will have to do with Akari’s ‘leap of faith’ and hope for it to pay off in the near future. The stakes are high, and it's like watching a high stakes chess match, strategic moves, unexpected turns, and plenty of surprises.

One thing's for sure, with this new development on AllPro Mitani's switcheroo might just be the tip of the iceberg. Who's next on the agency hopscotch? This behind-the-scenes drama is getting juicier by the minute, and I'm here for every bit of it!

Aoi Kururugi Set To Leave AV After 6 Years In The Game

Moving on with the column, we’ve Aoi Kururugi, the 25 year old JAV sensation, who is officially calling it quits after a solid six years in the game. The adult star broke the news on her X account on November 10, 2023, making it crystal clear that her time in the AV world has reached its peak.

This latest development isn't exactly out of the blue, though. Aoi had hinted back in March, that she had an exclusive contract under S-Cute studio and that this year she was all set to bid adieu to her AV career. And now, with this latest announcement, in November, it’s evident that the time to take her final call has come. Here's what Samoari, who directed couple of Aoi's JAVs had to say about her retirement. "My beloved Aoi Kururugi has retired. I am sad. Without her, Samoari would probably not have been born. Thanks to you, I can do great things now. I really love you and I really appreciate you. Thank you so much for meeting me as Aoi Kururugi! It doesn't make sense for me to say this, S-Cute, you have Kururugi as your exclusive, Thank you for making it a wonderful retirement. Please do your best in your future life. I will support you for the rest of my life."

But fear not! Aoi's not disappearing into thin air. Post-AV retirement, she intends to dive headfirst into her music career. Word on the street is it that she's eyeing a path as a singer under the Milky Pop Generation, a label she's been associated with since 2020. That is a career transition, we should’ve seen coming, right?

Her agency's already rolled the ball by announcing the start of shooting for her retirement film. But there’s relief for some of her fans, even after she's officially out of the JAV scene, she'll still be part of the studio and might even pop up at fan events. It's more of a "see you later" rather than a final goodbye. To quote the agency, "Aoi Kururugi has reported that she will be filming her retirement movie, but until its release, she will continue to appear at release events and live chats as an exclusive S-Cute actress. We would like to offer fans another opportunity to celebrate her graduation, so thank you in advance."

So, while her time in the JAV business is about to come to an end, it's clear that Aoi Kururugi won’t fade away into obscurity. She's got plans, she's got projects, and she's ready to take on new challenges. Who knows what incredible adventures await her beyond the AV world!

Ema Futaba Becomes Freelance For The Second Time

To me it looks like Ema Futaba's not hitting the retirement road just yet! I hope you guys remember when she dropped that scoop on her graduating from IdeaPocket, her debut studio and going freelance but not for long? Well, turns out she was not very content with the way things have been going on for her at Attackers, lately. On her X handle, Ema made it clear that she's branching out into different AV genres, ditching those very gruesome & predictable Attackers plots. Good move, I’d say! "With this month's Attackers piece I have graduated from my full-time position! From next month I will be a Kikatan! From now on, you'll be able to see a lot of different Emma's, such as Emma the Little Devil, Emma the Lascivious, the NTR Emma. Please look forward to it! Fans and the people on site, please keep up the good work!"

Frankly, I've always felt like Attackers is like JAV’s graveyard where actresses head to end their career, so right now Ema's decision to shake things up in her already mundane career and get a gist of the options at her disposal is ideal. I don’t see a reason to blame her.

For the unversed, this isn't her first rodeo in the freelance world, though. Yeah, she took that leap before, but ended up hitching her wagon to Attackers. Guess the freelance bug in her came calling.

Now, onto her next JAV. As per sources, she's teaming up with Ena Satsuki for a Moodyz JAV set to hit screens in early December and she is all decked up for a lesbian role! It’s interesting to watch her dive headfirst into new roles, and I expect her fans to be in for a surprise, as well,

I'm going to lob this one over the wall and see if anyone hits it back. Azumi Mizushima just reappeared in an indie to outdo all other indie studios (fifth dimension) video. Did anyone 'round these parts know anything about if it's a one-off or is she navigating her own path a la Ruri - fresh start at her own pace and all.

Hey ZENRA,

I know this is kinda an off topic and out of the blue question but do you have any info on Shirayuki Hime retirement? Looks like she hasn't released anything new in the last 3 months. Last few releases were in August.

Cheers.
