BREAKING NEWS: Jun Suehiro caught in an affair with a baseball player

This January 21, Japanese weekly tabloid Shunkan Bunshun published an expose of Jun Suehiro’s affair with Yokohama DeNA Baystars pitcher Azuma Katsuki. Shunkan Bunshun snapped pics of Azuma enjoying a date and checking in a hotel with Jun and not his wife of 4 years. This happened in Nagoya where Azuma has been spending his time training. Azuma has confirmed the affair but other than that both he and Jun have gone radio silent. They might have even seen the article coming as Azuma has deleted his X (twitter) account and photos of him with his wife on his Instagram page. Jun, while not having deleted anything as far as I know, has preemptively cancelled her appearance in an upcoming event on the 19th.

Jun Suehiro is well known to be a fan of Azuma’s team the Yokohama DeNA Baystars. She has been avidly watching their games and sporting the team’s merch. Jun has also posted a lot of pictures in the stands of their games on social media. With this article publication however eagle eyed fans have noticed that Jun’s phone wallpaper seems to be Azuma Katsuki. Her love of the sport and the team has bled into her JAV roles as she has starred in multiple films wearing Baystar jersey and was featured in the baseball themed MOODYZ sales campaign.

Shunkan Bunshun also got a statement from Azuma Katsuki’s wife in their article where she commented that “If you have an affair just keep it a secret, all that’s left for him now is to work hard and play out the rest of the season.” This statement makes it seem like his wife has already forgiven Azuma for this affair. With this incident, baseball player Sosuke Genda being forgiven by his former idol wife Misa Eto after his affairs got exposed and Junichi Kato being forgiven by his spouse after his fling with Ai Hongo, it makes me wonder if good baseball the secret to justifying extramarital affairs.
