BREAKING: Yua Mikami's Brand Faces Backlash, Maria Hoshi's Up For Drinks At SODLAND & There's Bad News For June Lovejoy Fans!

Here's a rundown of some of the top stories that happened in September

J-Pop Idol Faces Backlash For Wearing A Dress Made By Yua Mikami

There’s literally no shortage of controversy when it comes to the JAV industry. After a member of the popular idol group OCHA NORMA proudly flaunted a piece from Yua Mikami’s fashion brand, it quickly became a hot topic in no time. While the initial tweet seemed harmless enough, it quickly ignited a fierce debate that has exposed deep-seated biases among the mentality of general public.

The controversy sparked when the idol, Natsumi tweeted a photo of herself wearing one of Mikami's clothing items and asked her followers for their opinion. "I went to Dreamland a while ago. It started in the evening, but it was so much fun I was so happy to be able to go to Dreamland wearing my favorite Yua Mikami's clothes. Do you think the sporty look suits me?"

At first glance, the post appeared innocuous. However, eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out the connection between the idol and the JAV actress.

And it It seems like some online users didn’t take this very well. The comments soon spiraled into a full-blown personal attack on the idol, with some users lashing at the idea of mainstream idols associating with the JAV industry. Accusations of national decline and moral decay were thrown around. One user noted, "If ordinary people aspire to be AV actresses, our country has really gone to waste", highlighting the deep-rooted stigma surrounding adult performers.

This isn't the first time Mikami has faced backlash. Just a few days ago, she was subjected to slut-shaming after attending a cheerleading event wearing a popular brand of hat. For which, the brand had to face a lot of only hatred. The irony of the situation is that the same brand has collaborated with JAV actresses in the past.

It seems that some people have an irrational aversion to Mikami and her profession. They fear that her influence could somehow corrupt high schoolers, leading to a decline in societal values, like one user voiced concern, "You are currently recruiting studets right? What do you think would happen if a parent were to look this up, come across this post, think they are a member, press a hashtag and an adult video appeared? It's such a shame. Please quit as soon as possible." However, this fear-mongering is unfounded and counterproductive.

The fact is that OCHA NORMA has a massive following, and their fans, mostly of age, are exposed to a wide range of influences. Trying to shield them from Mikami's presence is futile and disrespectful. It's time to acknowledge that adult performers are human beings who deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

By perpetuating negative stereotypes and engaging in personal attacks, these critics are only fueling the fire of controversy. It's a meaningless pen war that will lead to no positive outcomes. Instead of focusing on tearing down others, these low-lives should strive to create a more inclusive and accepting society.

The more we treat people with disdain and prejudice, the more we will alienate them and contribute to their marginalization. It's time to move beyond these petty squabbles and focus on building a more compassionate and understanding community.

This Month Onwards, You Can Enjoy A Drink With Maria Hoshi At SODLAND

Maria Hoshi is back, guys! Although Maria Hoshi announced that she might not make a come back soon, it seems as if now she has contradicted her own statement. Glad she kept us speculating all this while. Previously she hinted at a potential hiatus, but you’ll be excited to know that she has not only returned to film JAVs but is also set to make a public appearance.

SODLAND officially announced the news of her comeback. She attended the SODLAND's event on September 16th, where fans had the chance to meet her face to face and buy her company for a drink. This is likely a significant development for fans who have been eagerly awaiting her return.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the event was the opportunity for fans to meet Hoshi in person and entertain her company. Yes, you read that right! familiar to those who have followed the career of Aika Yumeno, who once worked at Red Dragon. Similar to Yumeno's role, Hoshi will be available for casual conversation while enjoying drinks.

SODLAND's official X handle had tweeted back on September 8th, "On Monday, Maria Hoshi will be working as a premium member! We look forward to seeing you at the store, even though it's close by. Let's have lots of toasts and have fun!"

Personally, I’d have asked her about her future role. Will she be returning to filming JAVs? With a few glasses of wine, perhaps she'd be more inclined to open up and share her thoughts.

But that's not all. The agency has been dropping hints and teasing photos to keep the excitement building. And now, with the official announcement, the anticipation has reached a fever pitch.

While the possibility of Hoshi returning to adult films is certainly high, there's one important factor to consider: SODLAND's relationship with the Will Group, which is home to the renowned S1 label.

It's no secret that SOD and Will Group have a competitive relationship from the time they've existed in the industry. Given that Hoshi was once associated with S1, it's unlikely that she would be allowed to participate in events hosted by SOD in the future.

Unless Hoshi has severed ties with Will Group or the two companies have reached a new agreement, her return to adult films might be delayed, but I guess that's what her agency 8man is for! For now, the focus must be on her upcoming event. This anxiety of awaiting her full-fledged comeback, is already getting me charged up!

Citing Lack Of Work, June Lovejoy Might Just Retire

Moving on, June Lovejoy has hinted with a cryptic tweet suggesting that she may be considering retirement by the end of this year. In the post, dated September 1, 2024, June in a tensed state, revealed that she has not received any offers to shoot new JAVs in the recent past, which might’ve compelled her to play with the idea of retirement.

June tweeted with a heavy heart, "I don't know if it's because of the recent news, but I haven't received any offers from any manufacturers, so I think I should retire. I loved AV itself, so I wanted to make a proper retirement video, but I guess that's no longer possible."

While she didn't explicitly state her intention to retire, the tweet implied that if the situation remains unchanged by the end of this year, she may be compelled to step away from the JAV industry. This news has come as a surprise to many fans, as June has been a beloved figure in the JAV industry. "I'm very grateful when people say they want to appear in AV, but even if you say you want to appear in AV yourself, you can't. It's impossible unless you get an offer from the manufacturer, so the most useful thing is for everyone to contact the manufacturer. It would be a great help if you could recommend Love Joy. If I still don't get any offers by the New Year, I'll retire."

Despite the lack of offers, Lovejoy has been keeping herself busy with a lot on her table. Take for example, she has been busy with her cosplay content, attending fan events, and engaging with her fans on the LoyalFans platform. While these activities have allowed her to stay in touch with her fans and bring that moolah, at the same time also explore other creative outlets.

On the work front, one of her most recent JAV films was released in March 2022 by the amateur studio Ice Man. In the JAV, she portrayed a foreign student named Claire, a seductive succubus to say the least.

If at all her retirement comes to fruition, it would be a significant loss for the JAV industry. Her talent and the western appeal she brought to the table have made her a beloved figure among fans. However, if she does decide to step away, it is likely because of the fact of not getting much offers.

As the year progresses, we will be watching closely to see if Lovejoy receives any new offers. The possibility of her retirement looms large, meanwhile.

Mirei Uno Makes A Surprise Announcement Right After Retirement!

It seems as if Maria Hoshi isn’t the only one to make a comeback, Mirei Uno, who recently announced her retirement from the JAV industry, has revealed her plans to transition into a whole new career. Starting September 5th, Uno will be taking on a new role at the renowned hostess nightclub, Shinjuku DEAREST.

While taking to Twitter, Mirei explained that this decision was made after careful consideration. While she has no prior experience in the hostess industry, she is determined to approach her new role with dedication and professionalism by tapping on lessons learnt from her previous line of work. She has expressed her hope for support and guidance as she embarks on this new chapter of her life.

She noted, "I have an announcement to make. I will be working at Shinjuku Dearest from September 5th. This is a decision I made after giving it a lot of thought, and although it is an industry I have no experience in, I am going to do my best, so I would appreciate it if you could kindly support me. I look forward to your continued support."

For those questioning, what in the world is Shinjuku DEAREST? Let me tell you, it is a high-end hostess nightclub located in the vibrant Shinjuku district of Tokyo. Unlike traditional nightclubs, hostess clubs offer a unique experience where guests can enjoy the company of female hosts while indulging in drinks and conversation.

But mind you, these particular hostess clubs are not known for offering ‘sexual services’. The primary focus is on providing companionship and entertainment. While guests may be able to enjoy casual conversation and drinks with the hostesses, there are no options for lap dances or other intimate services like you find in the West.

However, it's worth mentioning that these establishments can be quite expensive. In addition to the standard consumption tax, guests will also be charged a hefty service fee. According to the official website, general seats are subject to a 25% service charge, while private rooms incur a 35% fee. This means that Uno could potentially earn a substantial income from her new role than she did on her stint in JAV.

So, the big question is, is it worth paying a visit to? If you're considering visiting Shinjuku DEAREST, it's important to be aware of the potential costs. The club offers a "Furi 60 minutes $56 (tax) + no charge at the venue" promotion, which might seem like a bargain at first glance. However, it's easy to get caught up in the atmosphere and find yourself spending much more than you intended.

While on one hand the opportunity to interact with Mirei might be tempting for her fans, you can’t deny the fact that it's crucial to weigh the costs and benefits before making a decision. Given her recent retirement announcement, it's unlikely that she will be returning to the JAV industry anytime soon. If you're eager to see her in person, visiting her new workplace may be your only option. So, will you go? Let us know in the comments down below.

JAV Male Actor Takes A U-Turn On His Retirement Decision

Okay, this is intriguing. So a male JAV actor who goes by the name Nick hinted at a potential change of heart regarding his retirement plans, recently. In a now deleted tweet, he contemplated retiring from the industry because of the birth of his offspring, but later Nick revealed that various factors, which he did not elaborate on, might prevent him from stepping away from the industry at the end of December 2024, as he had previously announced.

The actor wrote, without divulging much on X, "Due to various circumstances, the retirement may not happen."

For now, whatever fans he has, who had already begun to anticipate Nick's departure could breath a sigh of relief. Last year in December he had quoted, "Just wanted to let you know!

I, Nick, have decided to retire as an adult actor on December 31, 2024! The adult video industry is so exciting, so I want to make the most of the remaining five months so I have no regrets! Thank you for your continued support until the end! PS. I'm now a dad.", he had shared the exciting news of becoming a dad, suggesting that he might drop off from filming AV in the near future, that led to the beginning of these speculations

Nick's career in the JAV industry began in 2017, and he rose to fame for his unique combination of a youthful appearance and a stocky muscular physique. On top of that he’s portrayed a variety of characters over the years.

A pic is going viral on Japanese SNS that has Nick posing with faces you’ll instantly recognise. Back in November last year, Nick celebrated his birthday on set surrounded by his esteemed seniors, Yoshiya Minami and Kensuke Samejima.

As the year progresses, fans will be eagerly watching for updates on Nick's career and retirement plans. I’ glad he didn’t choose to retire as it is a well known fact that the industry suffers with a lack of male talent often unlike its western counterparts, Whatever the reason be for Nick, whether monetary or anything else, I’m glad he didn’t choose to leave.

Meanwhile, go give him a follow on X to keep up with his works

I had just assumed June had retired and moved onto the fansite model since I hadn't seen any JAV with her for awhile. Hope she gets some role offers soon if that isnt the case
