[SOD] You are half-American. Please tell us briefly about your background.
[Lauren Karen] My dad is American and my mum is Japanese. I was born in Hiroshima Prefecture and went to an international school in junior high school, but then went to a regular Japanese school in high school and college.

[S] Have you ever lived in the United States?
[L] I've never even been to the US at all, but I'd like to go there someday.

[S] I heard that you are fluent in English even though you have been in Japan for such a long time.
[L] My dad and I used to have daily conversations in English, and my mum worked as a translator, so we had an English-speaking environment at home. I also studied in Australia for a short time, so I can speak English like a native speaker.

[S] Your Japanese is very polite!
[L] After graduating from university, I worked at a luxury hotel, and the Japanese I learned there has kind of become a part of me now. Especially when I get excited, I use some weird Japanese... (laughs)

[S] That's too formal! By the way, what made you decide to work for Hotel Woman?
[L] I applied for the job because it is a job where I can use English since there are many guests from overseas, and I like to interact with people. I also like to cook, so I wanted to work in a department related to the hotel's restaurants, where I would be in charge of guiding guests and delivering room service.

[S] You are beautiful and speak fluent English, so it’s a job that would suit you perfectly! Still, what was it that got you interested in porn?
[L] I watch a lot of YouTube, and I happened to see a famous sexy actress. I was very attracted to her, and I admired the fact that she was supported by both men and women, and I wanted to be like her.

[S] What made you decide to appear in the film?
[L] I like to try things I've never done before. Even in college, I tried learning a language that no one else would study. For instance, I didn't know anything about the hotel industry, but I wanted to try it, so I applied for a job. Even if I have no experience in something, if I think it's a good idea, I'll jump into it, work at it diligently, and hope to succeed.

[L] I've watched Western porn on the Internet, but I've never watched Japanese porn at all. I thought that I could show my unconventional side mainly because I've never seen it before.
