JAV Agencies Head to Head: Who has the best roster?

JAV is ruled by agencies behind the shadows. To be an actress especially a popular one you pretty much have to play ball with an agency to get work. From working out contracts, getting jobs with studios, promoting the talent, and much more; they are the machine working behind the scenes. For better and worse they control the on air talent we see and enjoy. Circa 2022 because it's not uncommon for actresses to switch agencies. Which is the reason for most name changes but that's a whole other conversation. Check the agency listing for the full list of names they have, I have listed most of the big and notable names. Although also do note that some of them are out of date and still list older retired names. For now let’s check out the agencies and which roster in my opinion reigns supreme.

T-Powers

T-Powers is the best, largest, and most stacked agency in JAV. They reign supreme, end of article. Joking aside they really are a juggernaut of an agency. I mean look at that roster and that is only a select number that I chose to jot down. T-Powers is clearly the top dog in the JAV world, just looking at their insanely long list of names big and small. Let’s break down that roster. I see lots of SOD stars with Iori, Minamo, and Lauren. Prestige’s best and brightest with Remu, Asuna, and Umi. Long time vets in Ai, Elly and Yuri. On top of this crowded sundae are some of the top freelancing actresses around with Yui, Hibiki, and Yuu. If this were a sports league the commissioner would step in and break up this super team. The talent is staggering, top to bottom. It’s hard to argue against them but there are other agencies that might not have the quantity but quality.

C-More

Runner up to T-Powers is either one of these next two agencies. First is C-more with a killer top of the lineup and supporting cast. Julia, Suzu, Tsumugi, Miru, and Asahi are a heck of an all star leadoff. That is one really pretty top talent right there. They also have a nice up and coming set of actresses in the beautiful Tsubaki, busty Koyoi, and too cute Ami. With Konan looking more and more like a big star at S1. They also have more niche and lesser known actresses like the limber Nana which I am a fan of and they also had Matsuri Kiritani before her quiet retirement. A pretty formidable roster the more I look at it. It might not be as large as T-Powers but it has equal top of the line star power.

Mines

The next runner up is Mines. Headed by stars from SOD, S1, and Idea Pocket with the well esteemed Mana Sakura, Yuna Ogura, Minami Kojima, and Anna Kami. Lots of underrated girls on their books like with the sexy Rena, devilish Hana, bubble butted Mihina, and teeny cutie Rio. They have a real eye for talent and quite the diversity in girls from petite and thin to busty and curvier girls. Though looking at all their talent a lot of them have nice butts if less than impressive busts (could their scouts be fellow Ass fans?). They also managed to snatch TikTok star Unpai whose been surprisingly popular despite her lukewarm debut. But their biggest star as of now is probably Hana, she's been on an upward tragectory in 2022. Which you can see on my Top sales of 2022 so far post. Mines was also the home of JAV mega star Ai Uehara while she was an active actress. A great roster that puts them on the same tier as the other big players.

8man / Eightman

Rounding out the top tier is 8man (Eightman). Featuring a solid front loaded lineup with stars in fabulous Tsukasa and beautiful Nene then rising names with the stoic Suzume and very busty Mei and vets with thin Tina and the milfy Yuko. A solid cast if lacking in more big stars. Mahina Amane is another rising star and my favorite from them as of right now and changed over to 8man with a new name, Maria Hoshi. 8man also did JAV a solid as a whole as they convinced An Mitsumi to delay her retirement and she will continue making JAV as Ranran. They also debuted a fantastic promotional spread 8 Woman to highlight their top talent minus one to commemorate an anniversary. With how much they like the name 8 Woman, one might expected them to rebrand themselves with it fully.

(The Rara Dilemma)

The minus one I’m talking about is superstar Rara Anzai who was with them most previously (she’s been with a few agencies before). Rara seems like both a gift and a headache as a talent. Able to sell AV titles like they are hotcakes while taking breaks whenever she please. As of writing Rara has released only one video for 2022 which I'm assuming sold quite well all things considered. No doubt now they are angling to get her back and shooting more videos for them. And why not Rara is easy money, headache or not.

Cruse Group

Now we get to the next tier of agencies with Cruse Group and what they lack for in numbers they make up for in quality. They have one of S1’s top sellers in Saika the gorgeous, Premium’s top girl with the slender Aika, and a pair of double exclusive actresses with the fit Akari and the fat assed Nao. Rounded out with the thick queen herself Shiori. All quality girls and some of the best talents at their studios. Saika since coming back has become an AV superstar taking the AV crown from Ichika in my sales post. They don’t have the raw numbers like some but pound for pound I’ll take they group against any other starting five. Cruse group making the best with a small cast.

Life Promotion

Talent List: Kana Momonogi, Noa Eiwaka, Yuki Takeuchi, Akari Neo, Urara Kanon, Suzu Monami, Ema Futaba, Karen Kaede (former)

Next we have Life Promotion. A solid list of stars and upcoming names with Noa, Yuki, and Akari with Kana easily being their biggest name. Though Karen could’ve been if she stayed with them. Her shocking exit from JAV, while her popularity was soaring, has been speculated with because of her weight troubles. Becoming too skinny and sickly looking. Interestingly enough both Karen and Kana have had this issue. However Ema Futaba has had the opposite weight trajectory and has sized up quite a bit recently. Something I am all for and hope doesn’t change. We can only speculate if Life Promotion is behind their star’s weight issues. Whatever issues they have behind doors, Life Promotion has a good roster of girls even without Karen. Like Cruse working with a smaller but high quality roster.

Now we move onto Allpro or allpro as they like to stylize it. This agency has a few mid level stars and reliable long time vets. With stars like Ruka and Moko and vets like Tsubaki and Kurea. Quite a few of their girls are freelancing actresses like the busty Nanami Matsumoto. In terms of newer stars they have two promosing girls by the names of Riho Fijimori and Kaoru Yasui among others. I haven't seen either but Kaoru is a beauty no doubt. As for Riho she is looking like their biggest star charting high on that sales list. Fellow writer Oppaira is a fan of hers.

B-Star and Bambi Productions

B-Star is next up and they have some promising names. Marina, Makoto, and Moe are their veteran stars while Ai is arguably their biggest name right now. Ai is interesting because she is keyed into social media, can speak English fluently, and likes to stream. It will be interesting to see how and if this agency handles a JAV star for the modern age. Interestingly enough they are split into two entities with Bambi Productions handling their freelancing talents like Ai Hoshina.

Arrows

Talent List: Ichika Matsumoto, Kaho Imai, Mai Nanashima, Eri Takigawa

Pretty slim pickings with Arrows. Obviously Ichika is doing the heavy lifting with that agency. Kaho is a good get (and buddies with Ichika no less), Mai a promising rookie with Prestige, and Eri a fun mature type actress that I am liking. But the big draw and winner for them is Ichika easily. A small time player compared to some of the other giants in the game.

Forty Four Management

Another one woman studio by the looks of things. It is a bit surprising to see one of JAV’s biggest names in a smaller agency. But small doesn’t always mean bad. A smaller agency can be more dedicated and focused on their talent.

Duo

Our last agency seems to be on the rocks. Airi is hard carrying this roster with little else following her. They still tout Jessica and Aino on their promotional pages. Two big stars but who are old news now.

The Head to Head

T-Powers is the clear winner amongst the agencies. The have star power like no other, just reading out their roster is dizzying with stars after stars. I would say only C-More comes close to them with both star and new talent. However my favorite agency might be Cruse Group. Aika, Saika, Nao, and Akari all in one place? Yes please. That right there is a quality team. My least favorite agency might be Life Promotion. It might not be fair but Karen is out of the game while they were in charge and I’m putting that on them.

Well those are the agencies of JAV Head to Head. Who has your favorite roster today and, as a fun experiment, who would you hire on as your starting five actresses as the head of an agency? Me personally I am in it for the money, give me high earners with Yua Mikami, Eimi Fukada, Ichika Matsumoto, Saika Kawakita, and Ai Hongo. Ai not only because she’s popular and I like her but she would be an interesting agent to represent. Her unique background gives her potential international appeal.
