Ran Tsukishiro 月城らん debut is not a debut

Yuuna Himekawa 姫川ゆうな (23 years old) is now Ran Tsukishiro 月城らん, her new videos: HND-847 and CAWD-099 will be released next week, on 2020-06-25.  Rather curious is that a new uncensored video from Heyzo will be released on the same date, under her old name 姫川ゆうな.

Since at least March of this year, fans of Yuuna Himekawa had noticed she had deleted all posts from her twitter account. But there was no definite announcement and the time was short, it cannot be said that she retired (as some in the fandom suggested).  It was, apparently preparation for a re-boost of her sagging career. 

Her last (censored) big studio solo work was 2017.  Since then she only appeared in planning videos (which pays much less than a solo title) and uncensored videos.  Uncensored works pays a lot more than mainstream censored videos, but only for a short time (typically 3 videos).  After that the income falls quickly.  So in the past (almost) 3 years, Himekawa is mostly seen on uncensored videos, far less prestigeous than mainstream idols. 

But even her uncensored career was slipping, her two most recent uncensored solo works were in 2019, and nothing so far in 2020.  Early this year Caribbean released a huge 5-hour video with Himekawa and a number of other idols in what seems like a compilation of older solo and orgy scenes. Fun fact: the semi-official Minnano bio page list her breast size as D-cup, but the new Kawaii video cover (HIGHLY suspicious of heavy-handed Photoshopping) splash about her "AA-cup super small slender" figure.

Miyuki Yokoyama 横山美雪 's ReBorn is not revival

Miyuki Yokoyama is an ex-JAV-idol known mostly to older fans, now 30 years old, she was active between 2008 and 2015.  So many current JAV fans may not be very familiar with her.  Two years ago her name (along with a small number of old-timer) reappeared in the fandom briefly, as her "True Libido Awaken" from 2011 had the the pre-mosaic version leaked into FC2.  But otherwise, Ms. Yokoyama's retirement is pretty successful as she stayed clear of any scandals and gossip.  Actually she studied law in school and has the education to be contributing member of society.  During her JAV career she invested wisely and engaged in the managerial work of her agency and smoothly transitioned from client/talent to managerial staff post-retirement.  By now she also has a husband, and according to her official (JAV) bio she is 30 years old. 

So yesterday (6/16) it caused some double-take when suddenly a new solo title called ReBorn Absolute Beauty was dropped.  It just doesn't make sense for her to return to JAV, even if a revival is commercially successful it's sure to be short-lived.  And the studio's blurb on the release explains clearly this (MXSPS-652) and also Yokoyama's next release, similarly titled ReBorn Epic Beauty MXSPS-654 are, in response to frequent request by the fans, compilation of the best scenes of her career. IMHO, the branding of two consecutive titles with "ReBorn" when the content is just compilation of scenes already released from 5+ years ago, is a pretty sad case of false advertising.  But then this is MAXING we are talking about here, no amount of photoshopping and sketchy promotional tricks should be surprising anyone.
