Yuna Ogura Holds Photo Exhibition 

Seems like most AV stars in recent times are hopping on the photo exhibition trend, take for example Aika Yamagashi the latest actress to come out with her exhibition earlier this month. Damn right, this column is dedicated to Yuna Ogura, who had a desire to try something new about her fourth anniversary in the business, in the actress's own words. To commemorate the anniversary, having celebrated it earlier in December last year the SOD poster girl raised a public to crowdfund to fund her photobook, and recently the photo exhibition touted as 4EVER, took place in Shibuya's Le Deco gallery, recently. The exhibition that commenced on the nineteenth of this month and ran for three consecutive days served witness to an abundance of JAV glitz and glamour. If one were to pass by the venue, they would find themselves blind sighted having discovered such a slew of AV stars in attendance. With the likes of fellow industry compatriots like Tadai Mahiro, Riho Shiseido, Rio Kuriyama, and Momo Fukada in the crowd, the event must've turned accordingly, to the actress's preference to have garnered such affection from her fellow industry peers.

"It was a great success.  This photo exhibition is the culmination of starting with Kurafan!  Men and women of all ages came.  A woman who dared to come alone, a high school friend, and a regular who always watches over me. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow and the day after tomorrow."

In an interview given to SOD's Fumito Kagurazaka, the guy behind those famous AV interviews, Yuna was quoted saying, "There were many people who wanted to come to our regular events but couldn’t, so I thought it would be great if we could create more opportunities for people to come and see us". The venue that served as the event ground for the period, portrayed the actress in four distinct themes shot by four different photographers over some time, much closer as one would label it to be gravure photography. Earlier the actress mentioned that the portraits portrayed on the wall were influenced by the photobook she shot earlier in the year. To make the readers aware four photographers were assigned to capture the actress in four distinct themes, notably neon, girly, street, Asian that were later put up on the walls of the venue. The SOD star spilled some beans and gave the fans some inside scoop on the project has stated that she rented out a Dolce & Gabbana piece for the shoot at one point, quoting “I had a female photographer shoot with the theme of ‘Asian’.

The costumes were ‘Dolce & Gabbana’ and it was very expensive" further adding that she had to light up a bud for the shoot, although she normally doesn't associate with the habit, "There are rapper cuts and cuts with cigarettes in my mouth, which I don’t normally smoke.” Via the interview, Yuna revealed her thoughts behind naming the project 4ever, "I chose '4ever' because I wanted to show four faces that I haven't shown yet, but I thought that the expression was different even if I was looking at it myself." Nice wordplay there, girl. In light of the culmination of the exhibition, the actress found herself too overwhelmed by the admiration she received both from fans and peers alike as the event concluded, Yuna further expressed her thoughts via a tweet.

"The 3-day photo exhibition has ended. I'm overwhelmed with emotion because I didn't think so many people would come to visit us. Thank you to the actresses who came to see us and everyone related. I want to do something in return for those who support me! I'll do my best"

Quoting a tweet by Yuna, items from the exhibition were available on sale from thousand yen to the vicinity of 100,000 yen astonishingly expensive because these would end up on some fan's collectors' shelf. We'd love to know our reader's take on this, comment down below.

Yua Mikami Promotes New Platform On Her Birthday 

In a previous column this month we talked about how the Mistress boss lady is making waves in the fashion industry with her latest gig. Walking the ramp at the Kansai fashion show and promoting a sister brand sugar high's collection on the ramp, which by the way trended as a headline earlier this month. The S1 talent is on a roll, making headlines, the adult performer celebrated her 29th birthday earlier on the 15th of this month. While it's a run-of-the-mill thing for the former SKB48 girl having had prior done her deed of cutting a cake at the venue of the fashion show as her close friend Kirara Asuka surprised her with it, the official cake cutting however was due for 15th august, which by the way, seems to be the actual birth date of the S1 star as per records.

Only this time, the actress opted for a celebration with her fans rather than an offline event, considering the risk of COVID outspread in recent times. Although Yua could've opted for a grand offline party inviting her fans to the event as she has usually done in the past, the actress chose to keep the 29th low key this time. I hardly found any event or offline party pics floating on the internet, to my notice, the most closest being the former SKB48 star hanging out with her close pal Kirara Asuka at a bar days after the birthday.

Besides the COVID outbreak assumption, one theory that I presume is that she'd put a rest to any plans with her fans given the strict schedule Yua has been operating on in the recent past, simultaneously managing multiple ventures at a time. Recently, the adult performer was spotted promoting her stylebook at an event subsequently after her birthday. It's quite disheartening that we're not witnesses to the photographs from the event besides the only one that she posted earlier on her birthday, The 29 year old mentioned that she'll be on the road promoting her new stylebook at multiple cities in the near future, Osaka and Nagoya to be specific. Tickets prior to the events seem sold out if somehow some of our readers are contemplating the idea to book for the same.

The birthday girl surprised her fans with the best gift, possibly in my recent memory. Yua pulled the wraps off on her new project Onlyours, supposedly an Onlyfans alternative exclusive to her fans. Fans could  expect some NSFW content that she usually doesn't post on mainstream social media platforms. It's like a safe haven to indulge with your favorite stars sans worrying being hit by a ban from the Twitter gods.Yua did a livestream, taking her birthday as an opportunity to interact with the fans whom she calls Yuaza on the discreet platform.

I admire how the 29 year old star has it all figured out, brainstorming ventures, and transitioning her career from a more AV centric background to one that is less critical to the public eye but this might work as a two edged sword for the actress considering she gained most of her fame with the adult industry in her heydays before pulling off a Kirara Asuka style move. Arina Hashimoto Turns Into A Moodyz Girl

Tokyo based adult performer Arina Hashimoto who debuted way back in 2013, has for a fact transitioned through quite a few offices in the past, each significantly chipping in her way to establish the actress as a  reputed name she has made out for herself and her fame knows no bounds as the 25 year old has garnered fan attention from some major asian markets, Taiwan, China & South Korea as such. But currently, over in the second half of 2022 the actress wants to reimburse for a career that has taken a hit in the recent memory, more so from her stint at FALENO. Any maker in today's age knows well and good that a bet played on Arina Hashimoto will reap certain benefits incomprehensible to some, but the makers know something that the fans don't and that is, a bet on the actress directly correlates to expanding presence in the major asian countries that are home to some of the actress's most loyal fanbases and rightly so, with MOODYZ securing the signature on paper, the AV studio seem to bet on their prevalence in these markets in the near future. This is a deal most major AV makers wouldn't have let skip, even IdeaPocket given Arina's office had really good relations with the studio and in the past had hinted on several instances that when the door to Faleno closes for Arina, Ideapocket seemed like the perfect backup to further her career with. In a Twitcasting live, earlier on July 6th Arina, as she usually uses this medium to interact with her fans live, had dropped certain bombs regarding her future prospects and now just a month later, here we are as fans trying to fathom the fact and meanwhile applaud the fact that she chose Moodyz, if not Ideapocket given the former had an empty spot since Shoko Takahashi left the studio earlier this year and the makers where constantly in a search for a recruit who had bigger shoes to fill after their poster girl left having commited on a brief stint of five plus years with the studio and now as things are certainly clear for a fact that Moodyz have decided to replace Arina with Shoko, as a fan one could not be much eager than to figure out what the studio has in store for their new poster girl, indeed also what they've to offer us as fans in the near future.

Regardless, to sum up this column I think it has mostly to do with the star factor that Arina brings to the studio that will lure the fans instead of the content the makers have thought of to produce with her, although the quality of the work does matter given AV fans don't seem to excuse their idol over repeated discrepancies with the quality of work they choose to feature in. DAHLIA Teases A New Face

DAHLIA have upped their recruitment game quite recently, having roped in  earlier last month, now the makers seem to have their set upon a 26 year old goddess from Kyoto who has a figure to die for, considering one likes their woman on the 'thicker' side. Although we don't have much scoop on the 26 year old newbie's background besides knowing that she chose to debut with Bstar given the office's apparent goodwill with the maker's parent company FALENO. While Faleno has been raking in talents in a slew lately, considering they revived yesteryear actress Jun Mizukawa's career after she had a fallout with her former studio, a performer like Honoka seems to mould well with their sub brand DAHLIA's theme as a maker, directly competing with the likes of MADONNA in the market for their fair share of the 'mature woman' genre.

Getting Honoka's sign on paper, although might benefit DAHLIA as a maker and cement their position in the vicinity of Madonna in the recent future if the bet on the performer goes right, the same doesn't adhere to be true for the new actress in the block, given she might've had a chance to break into Madonna's elite team if she had opted prior for a different agency altogether, to be specific Eightman. Maria Wakatsuki Bids Farewell To AV

Retirement of AV stars is something I've followed religiously over the past couple of months, now even more to the fact the industry is witnessing a high frequency exodus since the time the new AV law has come to practise. Although I was quite convinced that the actress I'm about to cover in this column had already paid her dues to the business and long forsaken the adult business for good, living off grid with her fam out of the public eye given that she'd quite literally disappeared in these last couple of years with no signs of new AV's or acting assignments as such.

"I, Maria Wakatsuki, have decided to retire as an AV actress for about 10 years at the end of March next year. I will turn 30 on October 2nd. Before I became an AV actress, I decided from the beginning that I would quit when I turned 30. To all the fans who supported us, to everyone in Anoon, Thank you for supporting me in various ways. I believe that the road that I have been running for 10 years is the road that everyone has created for me. All the time I spent with you is one page of the best life that I can be proud of. Skip to the current day, the Diaz girl tweeted a long testimony on her part mentioning about her intentions to quit the business by the upcoming year. In the testimony, the actress having debuted way back in 2013 mentioned her pledge to quit AV by the time she turns 30. In case most wonder that her career trajectory as an AV actress was certainly headed for a downfall, they should also take into consideration that she had a full fledged career outside the AV business as a music artist. The actress who goes by the alias CocoAnnu on YouTube has posted several music videos putting her alter ego into play, although she hasn't achieved much significance yet pertaining to her musical career, I guess that is something she'd dedicate more time into once she quits the business in the near future. The actress, in particular didn't bother putting forth her intentions behind the decision but if one had to go by her statement, it makes complete sense that the 29 year old star having debuted way back in 2013 at a tender age of 20 will only go on to quit the industry at the helm of a decade in the business, as is the norm. One could only take so much and the mental fatigue associated with the profession of being in the public eye takes a toll in the long run. Recently, we saw the example of Mana Sakura taking a break from the industry for a while although in Maria's case it seems more like a proper retirement instead of a break given she stated clearly in the testimony that she'd retire on the inception of her 30th birthday but something a few might find incomprehensible is that her desire to work in the industry till late march next year.

I guess, it has more to do with her staying prevalent till the time comes or the fact that she might've chosen to put a break to work post october and presumably will end her career in March, coming a full circle in her career which I guess is her way of staying in the industry for a decade since March marks her anniversary month. Notably, she'll stop all her assignments by October but will in some way be active in the adult business through publishing gravure for the rest of the months, although she hasn't claimed it publicly yet, I assume it might be an idea that the actress might entertain. For the fans, she might just not disappear from the scene as the majority of them do, considering the fact that Maria religiously promotes her alternate career as a musician, some could breathe a shy of relief knowing that.
