Monaka Tamiya Bids Farewell To JAV - Retirement News

Published : December 9th, 2021 Written by trapstar

Trapstar here, reporting live from ZENRA headquarters. While there hasn't been much buzz in the Twitter JAV space in recent days, I did come across this trending tweet in the last few hours and decided to share it with you guys.

In sort of breaking news, Monaka Tamiya, an amateur AV star who formerly performed under the stage name Harumi Sagawa, announced her retirement from the AV industry to her considerably small Twitter fanbase just a few hours after she finished interacting with her fans live on the Japanese live stream platform Twitcasting.

The actress mentioned in her tweet that she has parted ways with her former agency Prime and has cut associations with the industry, rather than planning to discontinue working in AV. However, one thing to note is that she mentions working as a freelancer further on, which could be a hint that she wants to pursue work with other studios as a freelance artist in the future. This seems like the ongoing trend, with several other JAV stars pursuing the option. The actress ended the tweet by bidding farewell to her fans, asking them to stay in touch and follow her SNS feed for any news on her future moves.

Despite the fact that her words were as clear as ice in her most recent tweet, I suspect that this is more of a "see you later" than a proper retirement. The latter part of her tweet, where she mentions pursuing the 'freelance' road, hints that she may have taken a short break from her schedule or that this may be Monaka's semi-retirement. Such demeanors are common in the JAV industry. In the past, many AV actresses took a brief hiatus and then returned from retirement to work for a different agency or studio. We can only hope that this is the case for Monaka. Despite not being a household name in the industry, she has amassed a sizable fan base, and we don't want to see any JAV fans upset over the possible retirement of their favourite AV idol. We hope she makes a comeback soon.

Fans can be assured that the actress has stated in her tweet that she will continue to pursue other forms of interacting with her followers through digital platforms such as Twitter and the fairly popular Japanese livestream site, Twitcasting. Her tweet also implies that she will soon hold an idol meet & greet event for her fans to formally interact with her adoring fans. We hope that the event organizers follow the COVID guidelines when planning the event because we anticipate a massive turnout of fans attending the event.

Among her most recent and notable works is a cameo appearance in the film JUL-169. Despite the fact that she only had a brief appearance in the film, she managed to give a decent performance with an actress like Tsubasa Hachino by her side. It's a S&M bondage themed JAV, which is quite different from the roles she usually plays. Fans of cosplay AV will recognize her name because she primarily performed in that genre.

The news comes as a disappointment for her fans, but the actress was quick to state that she would continue to pursue Twitcasting livestreams. Besides that, her Twitter account is the only way for her fans to get in touch and stay up to date on her daily activities. Meanwhile, don't forget to browse through a library of JAVs she's previously featured in. All of these are available to stream and download on R18. Some are even on sale, so grab them before they get delisted!
