We all have our own hot takes when it comes to the JAV industry. Maybe we think a certain popular actress is overrated. Or perhaps an entire genre is a waste of time. Well, I figured why not share a sample of some of my personal hot takes? They all range in varying degrees of spiciness as you'll see. Some are pretty mild and others are a bit on the hotter side. Eimi Fukada looks like a robot

Those that know me are aware that I am not a fan of Eimi Fukada or at least don't like one key aspect of her. I'll admit she's got a great ass and as a performer, she seems pretty solid overall. But man does she look so overly fake and artificial now just like a sex doll. She's had so much work done on her face that she's got this porcelain look going on. And the shape of her bolt-ons really cements her sex doll appearance. And I'm aware some may say I'm being hypocritical for liking Maria Nagai who has had a ton of work done as well but the key difference is their faces. Eimi's had far more work done in that area and she looks rather uncanny now compared to Maria.

Debut films are often predictable and dull

I never quite understood the hype for debut films. Most of the time they all have the same script and follow a very similar script. You're treated to a lengthy interview at the start, then watch her take 20 minutes to undress followed by some mediocre action. You can't get a good read on their acting either as they're usually pretty shy and reserved. Once in a while, you'll get a debut film where the actress will maybe have an interesting caveat such as she's a semi-popular "youtuber" and perhaps a former teacher. But even then those background stories can't be trusted most of the time and are probably fabricated to an extent to hype up the film. It's just always best to wait for a few films before checking an actress out to get a more accurate first impression.

Maria Ozawa is overrated

I fully respect Maria Ozawa's career. She was immensely popular back in the day and I congratulate all that she accomplished. But I just can't get the draw of her. I never understood why she was such a huge deal. Nothing about her physically really stands out. Her face and figure are fine I suppose but her ass isn't anything too special. The same goes for her boobs. Pretty average at best. And as a performer, I was never impressed by what I saw. Not terrible but not anything that blew me away. I'm sure her mixed background of Canadian and Japanese ancestry boosted her appeal considerably. Again I don't hate her or anything like that. I just don't understand how some hype her up as one of the all-time greatest. Makes no sense to me.

Harem films are too distracting and not worth it

More is better right? Well not always. You'd think on paper that more actresses together would be better but very rarely does it ever succeed. Harem films typically feature more than two actresses with only one actor. More lovely ladies to look at, tons of eyecandy...what could go wrong? It's so messy for starters. The camerawork at times can feel frenetic trying to capture what everyone is doing at all times. Not to mention the actresses NOT getting fucked are usually just on the sidelines diddling themselves. It's such a waste of collective talent. The noises are unpleasant too when you have four or so actresses going ham and whining like crazy. It's just too many chefs in the kitchen with little to show for it. It's just not worth it.

Despite being a big oppai lover, Kaho Shibuya's tits aren't even in my top 20

Kaho Shibuya is nice I can't deny that. But even though I love myself a big pair of titties, I was never that into her as much as some others. She's got a fantastic personality I'll give her that. She seems pretty bubbly and down to earth which is especially noticeable in her streams. And she's maintained a respectable career after retiring and will often participate in anime cosplays at conventions. All that said, I don't like her tits as much as you may think. Sure they're big but very saggy at the same time. And while I love Hitomi's breasts despite being saggy too, they at least compliment her slim figure quite nicely. Kaho's figure isn't as shapely. I still enjoy her to an extent at least but I'm far from a diehard fan.

Maria Nagai looks better now than before

I know this one is gonna be mighty controversial. Maria Nagai has gone through many changes in her career. Starting out all-natural when she debuted way back in 2014. However, her career didn't exactly take off. It wasn't until about five years later that she began to make a splash. This of course came as a result of her new enhanced figure. Many folks preferred her at this phase with just some minor enhancements but soon after she went turbo mode with her fake ass. I can admit it's very over the top but I quite like it. She's carved out a bimbo look and owns it. So overall I really dig her current look and think she looks better than ever.

Virgin killer sweater was never that great

The virgin killer sweater look was all the rage back several years ago. Seemed like every other new release was trying to implement it. But I always thought of it as nothing more than a silly meme. It garnered its name due to the fact that it's supposed to be so lewd that will drive virgins crazy. The whole point of this outfit is sex appeal which it's lacking completely. It's all back. It doesn't fit their form at all due because it's so baggy most of the time. You don't get any glimpses of their cleavage or tits in any way unless you get a rare peak of their sideboob. And as someone who's a titty lover, it's very frustrating. I'm so thankful this dumb fad is over.

Yuu Shinoda and Julia are past their prime

Yuu Shinoda and Julia will always be some of the greats. They've been around for over a decade each which is no easy feat so I give them lots of respect. But I personally think both of them are past their prime. It's a bit frustrating with Julia because for so long she was an exclusive for Moodyz and Oppai and now finally she's a freelancer which is what we wanted for so long. But she's really showing her age now, especially in her face and her body just doesn't look as nice. And for Yuu Shinoda, she's just too skinny now and her figure isn't what it used to be. No one can escape the wrath of aging sadly. Her face still looks nice at least. But overall I've lost all interest in these two.

The golden age of IdeaPocket had the best exclusive roster of any studio in JAV history

What do I mean by "golden age" you may ask? I'm referring to the early 2010's era. At that time, I firmly believe IdeaPocket had the greatest exclusive talent pool of any studio ever assembled. They boasted so many top names it's ridiculous. You had the likes of Rio/Tina Yuzuki, Aino Kishi, Jessica Kizaki, Minori Hatsune, Kaho Kasumi, Tsubasa Amami, and Alice Miyuki just to name a few. Each one of these actresses was a bombshell from top to bottom. The variety also was quite nice in terms of setups and plots. IdeaPocket explored way more diverse themes back in the day that is sorely missing now. They definitely have some nice actresses now don't get me wrong, but nothing can come close to matching this golden age of talent.

Lesbian JAV is boring

This is probably not the hottest take in the world as I'm sure many of you would agree with me. But overall I just find lesbian JAV quite boring in most cases. It's often very dull and repetitive. Sometimes it can be worthwhile if the two actresses share good chemistry together. A few instances include Yui Hatano/Hibiki Otsuki, Ayumi Shinoda/Erika Kitagawa, and Anri/Hitomi in MIRD-150 for their lesbian scene. But even then it can still be pretty lackluster especially if there's no plot involved to spice things up. It's usually just kissing, groping, and fingering which isn't that satisfying with the mosaic obscuring your view. When a strap-on is involved it heightens the excitement a bit but other than that it's a snoozer.

Cosplay JAV is disappointing most of the time

It's easy to see the appeal of cosplay porn or JAV. Who doesn't want to see a hot JAV actress dress up as one of their favorite anime or video game characters? But personally, most of the time it never quite delivers. Unfortunately, most modern-day cosplay JAV films all feature the same setup. Casting the actress as an actual cosplayer, meeting up with fans, and fucking them. It's not a terrible setup but is a bit overused. We need more cosplay JAV that's actually set in the world of the costume. Moodyz's old cosplay series was a prime example of this but has sadly been shelved for the time being. If an actress is gonna cosplay as a character, she should roleplay AS the character too.

Real creampies are overrated and facials are superior

I never quite understand the obsession some have with creampies in JAV. Sure they're great but some think they're the holy grail. The censorship really hinders the enjoyment of them as half the time you can't even really see the cum flowing out too well with a thick-ass mosaic obscuring your view. In certain situations, it can still be great for sure but I'm just not that thrilled about them. Especially now since they're all 95% fake. A facial is far better as you can actually see the cum in full view. And there are more variables involved too with a facial that makes each one different than the last such as the angle, placement, and volume. A creampie is nearly always the same. I'll take a facial over a creampie any day(don't take that out of context please).
