It’s been some time now and I wanted to do a check in of sorts of all the New Debut Reviews I’ve done. We will check in to see how they are doing, how they have developed, and if they are worth checking out now. I have checked out so many newbies this past year. Some good, some great, some not so great. Really, my biggest problem with this series is that there are too many good and interesting rookies to check out and so little time. Times change and so do attitudes, lets see how these debuts are doing.

Rio Kuriyama: First Grade – 8

Our first debut review, Rio has gone on to be a steady presence in Idea Pocket’s roster. Cute, petite, and some nice soft breasts; You won’t go wrong with getting into Rio. With a more mature face for her size, she can pass for both youthful or older woman roles. She has had solid releases since debuting but if I’m honest none have reached the heights of her debut title. Her debut title still stands as her best video so far. Despite that she has really loosened up since her first title and has been a solid performer. She also really likes to squirt as her later videos will show. She is as solid as she was when we first reviewed her and coming along nicely.

If you want more of Rio now then consider checking out IPX-702. A squirt-tastic title that is all about her pleasure as she gives us some body shaking orgasms. It’s early in her career but Rio is already proving to be quite the little squirting machine. Her performing has gotten better too, being even more at ease having sex on camera. If hard and fast pounding sex with plenty of squirt sounds like your thing then this title is right up your alley.

Saya Minami: First Grade - 7

Saya was one debut that I wasn’t following after reviewing and was a bit lukewarm after reviewing her but I am starting to think I should be. Since her start, Sana dropped a few pounds and looks even prettier now. She has become quite the cutie patootie. She still starts in more fringe titles with smaller studios and in more hardcore stuff. While I would like her in more mainstream/vanilla stuff, she is a solid choice as a hardcore fans. From BDSM and bondage to lesbian orgies; she is an adventurous performer. Cuter face, big ass, and a hardcore actress; Saya looks more and more attractive by the title. I would say she is much better than her debut and working in hardcore titles suits her.

For more of Saya now check out LZDM-041. Saya has done plenty of more lesbian videos since debuting, this being one of the better ones. Saya costars with the tiny Mirei Nitta. The title taking extra focus on Saya’s big bottom, one of the best bottoms by a newbie. Lesbian action, ass focused, and one seriously cute looking Saya. Enough said.

Emma Lawrence aka Lily Hart: First Grade – 7.5

Emma has had the biggest change out of all of our girls. From changing her name to getting some work done, she has seen a drastic change since last year. She seems to have gotten a boob job and some work on her face. Which to be honest, I’m not a fan of the changes. I like Emma more than Lily. I liked her slim and petite body before and thought she didn’t need any work on her face. To add on she has played mainly submissive roles and I think her best title was IPIT-009 which had her being much more assertive and looser.

But I don’t want to write off Lily just yet. She is tall, pretty, and has beautiful blonde hair. Being a white actress in JAV is a rarity and an interesting in of itself (only her and June Lovejoy right now). Her career is going to be interesting to follow fan or not. Since leaving Idea Pocket, Lily has gotten solo titles from bigger name studios like Madonna, Tameike Goro, and E-Body. Freelancing is almost always great to see in JAV. It gives us a diverse range of titles to pick from for any actress. While I don’t like her as much as I did in her debut, I will still keep note of her career.

If you want to see the new and revamped Emma, I mean Lily then look into RKI-614. An interesting title and one stolen directly from western porn. Specifically, the sub site Swallow Salon from Amateur Allure. You don’t see many blatant rip-offs in JAV of western porn. This POV centric title keeps Lily in a brightly lit room as she shows you the best of her mouth skills. Get up close and personal with Lily’s pretty face, she is the stereotypical image of a stunning blonde European babe. Another reason to stick with her.

Mariko Sata: First Grade – 8.5

Of all of our new debuts, Mariko is the only one so far to solidly break into my regular rotation. The glamorous looking mature women has become the unlikely winner and now has my full attention now. I did not come into this thinking Mariko would be the one I would be waiting for month to month but here I am. She’s not the pretties, or bustiest, or even the biggest assed. Something about this round faced mature looking lady with her big cheeky smile has me entranced and I am not alone. SOD sees something in her too, promoting her into their main label from the mature focused Kirei to SOD Star. It seems I am not the only one to recognize this milf’s upcoming greatness. Fans of this milf are growing by the title.

Give this budding mature star a gander in KIRE-015. This sex focused video is all about giving Mariko deep and penetrating strokes for a cream pied filled finish. She really does pull off the glamorous and elegant air about her. Which makes it even more tantalizing to see her finely aged body get taken to task by all these strapping men. Also, a plus for ass lovers with her plus sized ass. Come see what the hubbub is about with Mariko.

Saeko Hiiragi: First Grade - 9

Saeko, what a doll. She has such a cutesy face it’s almost unbelievable. To go with that is a slim little body and a pair of soft, ample breasts. Small, cute, and busty. A hard combo to say no to. Her performing could be better but it’s still early days for her. Since debuting she’s shown an openness with the fairer sex with a couple of lesbian titles. Sadly, her titles are on the more budget side of productions. Hopefully as she continues, bigger studios will take a swing on the cute as a button Saeko. She deserves it.

Come see what Saeko’s been up to with HBAD-587. A title with more plot that makes her flew her acting skills a bit more. Really though the focus is her hot supple body. She makes even the mundane outfits she wears enticing; a baseball tee, a sleeveless turtleneck, and some tight miniskirts. I don’t see her becoming a great actress but her skills in bed are more of her strong suit. Also look out for one hard and fast hand job in the bathroom.

Chanyota: First Grade – 7

Ah Chanyota, the musclebound girl in JAV. She hasn’t changed much since her debut. Still the same thick and muscular chick she was when she started. Though I will say her buns look much tighter now. She is still used in more gimmicky titles that center around her muscular figure. She might not have the big showy cut muscles of actual bodybuilders but make no mistake. Chanyota is thick. A so so performer, she is mainly worth a look for the novelty factor. Just like before. She might not have improved much but fans of muscular women probably won't care too much. Chanyota fulfills a starved niche in JAV.

Which is just our luck as Chanyota released another fun and gimmicky title with SDDE-648. Costarring with Honoka Tsuji and Miyabi Midorikawa the trio play coaches at a gym with a much more enjoyable training method than most. This title is bonkers fun. You’ll see them lifting weights while getting reamed from behind or squirting all over themselves while another one of them gives out pointers. My favorite has to be the dildo wall exercise where the ladies bounce themselves into some dildos attached onto a wall. It ends with plenty of squirt and dildos falling onto the ground. Chanyota might not be the best upcoming actress but she might prove to have plenty of fun / interesting titles in the future.

Minaho Ariga: First Grade - 9

Minaho was a big hit for me when I first checked her out. She had a pretty face with fantastically full lips. She was also much more awkward and shy in action. Her beautiful face hiding a mouthful of teeth and a gawky girl which only made me like her more. But what was really shocking about Minaho was how great her body was, one of my favorite debut bodies. A pair of incredibly soft and bouncy tits and ass; Minaho’s body is a treat in motion. What a fun fun body.

I haven’t kept up with Minaho as much as I would’ve liked. Prestige leaving R18 has really sapped my attention to all girls in their catalog. At her best when she is just asked to have wild, messy sex. No plots needed. Since starting she kept up with her love of wild sex, deep throating, hard orgasms, and cream pies. A natural fit for Prestige is selling and why KBI-066 might be a good return point with Minaho, where she heads for the hot springs with a group of guys for an orgy of a good time.

Kotone Hana: First Grade – 8

Kotone was one of the rawest debuts I have seen. Unexperienced in the matters of sex and oh so awkward in the best ways. With a big toothy smile, Kotone was shy, new, and so genuine in it all. Making her inexperience so darn appealing. Kotone is a big girl and even though she is only 5’5”, Kotone gives off some low key Amazon vibes. As a performer and actress, she is a bit more confidant and loose but still pretty awkward. Which is a big part of her appeal. Like before Kotone needs more time to mature and grow.

Check out the POV MIDE-992 with Kotone playing the lovable childhood friend. She is bigger than I remembered (and I already thought of her as being big). Even in POV she seemed bigger than I remembered. I hope future titles try to highlight her bigger frame, especially her large legs and ample bottom. We get some choice shots of her bum jiggling up close. Perhaps with time and size she can grow into a gentle giantess.

Kozue Fujita: First Grade: 8

Next up is Kotone’s equal in the adorably dorky Kozue. Like Kotone she was really raw and awkward but also genuine and a breath of fresh air. When I first reviewed her I said this dorky chick could be a future star in the making. I still think that but a little less so. She’s cute, good natured, and seems really authentic. She also likes sex quite a bit, getting lost in herself during scenes at times. If she grows out of her awkward phase she could be formidable.

SSIS-140 picks back up with Kozue with a simple sex focused title. Which is great for the newbie and suits her. She has some drama titles but her acting isn’t too strong there. She is still pretty much the same as before. Raw, awkward, and losing herself in the sex which doesn’t always make for great porn. She tries deep throating at one point but struggles to get it in. Like Kotone, Kozue stills needs a lot more time and growing to get where she’s going.

Kokona Asakura: First Grade: 8

Kokona was a treat for the senses. A pleasing round face, a tiny bum, and a pair of lovely perky (and pointy) pair of breasts. A nice figure with just okay performing, she reminds me a lot of Mahina Amane but less endowed. Small girls, cute faces, and big busts. One of the cutest debuts I’ve reviewed so far. Kokona is lively and lovely as herself but has some acting chops too. As you can see in the heavy drama title MVSD-476. Which features a scene of her taking a deep face fucking like a champ. The photoshoot scene is my recommendation. Newbies usually aren’t great at these dark dramas this early on but Kokona holds her own. If she is willing to do more rough stuff and improves on her acting; she could really separate herself from the rest of the cute and busty newbies.

Minamo: First Grade: 7

We end with possibly the biggest debut of the year. SOD’s much hyped up newbie, Minamo. I was lukewarm when I first reviewed her. She wasn’t a great performer and her (what seems to be enhanced) boobs didn’t do it for me. I did think she was beautiful and her ass is rather hefty. She felt like a beautiful lady better suited for gravure. She is so photogenic; the camera seems to loves her. If she returned to a career of only gravure, I would follow her career.

But what I think doesn’t really matter because Minamo seems to be on a runaway train to stardom. SOD and her agency have really pulled out all the stops for Minamo. High production value titles and loads of photoshoots. She is not a year into her career and she already has more high quality photo ops than some vets of the industry it feels like. And fans are picking up what she is dropping. She is quickly building up a small fandom. With major support backing her, Minamo seems destined for star status.

Check in with Minamo in her second title STARS-386 which I thought should have been her debut title. A much better title overall with her being looser and sex hotter. Minamo’s face gets so red during the steamiest bits of the action and boy does she have a beautiful face to paint with cum. Also, this like most of her videos have some beautiful shots thanks to the extra production effort. I’d say I like Minamo much more than her debut showing. Her performing could be better but that pretty face is hard to say no to.

Well, that’s all for now folks. It was a treat to check back in with some of these rookies. Some are better than before and some are exactly as how I remembered them. Some have changed for the better and the jury is out for the others. Some are good enough to jump into right now like Mariko, Rio, or Saya. Some like Kotone and Kozue need more time in the oven. But following new careers can be fun too, seeing them grow title to title. We’ll return to look into our other debuts in the future.
