Oppaira's JAV Plot/Theme Tier List - Part 3 - B Tier Second Half

Hey guys, Oppaira here, back at it for part three of my plot/theme tier list. Well, maybe it's part four, I don't know, I'm calling it part 3.2 now and none of you can stop me. Go check out the first half of this one if you haven't, otherwise let's get cracking on this!

Cosplay is pretty universally liked, right? I feel like with cosplay there's undoubtedly something you'll enjoy. Sometimes it's the variety pack kind where you get the most bang for your buck, other times it's based on a popular series, or it could just be loosely inspired by something. Either way it's pretty visually stimulating to see a fantasy come to life. Especially in this day and age when we've got video games where you can play as a hot character like Tifa or Chun Li, people start to get ideas and cosplay lets you live them out. Cosplay is easily the most visually stimulating genre and there's just so much variety that you'll find what you're looking for.

I find with cosplay there are generally two reasons I end up not liking it as much as others. Firstly, my god do I want to see those tits out in the wild. Anri Okita playing Chun Li or Cammy is cool but when you cover up her tits like that I'm kind of just sitting here blue balled that the goods are tucked away. The second is that you don't like all the cosplays nearly the same and the variance in scenes is wild. Cool, I grew up playing Street Fighter so Chun Li is cool to see, I didn't grow up playing Darkstalkers so Morrigan is a complete miss (and they're both in that Anri one). If I knew I would like each and every cosplay in the video that would be a different story but it's rare to find ones where you like all of them so I know I'm going to be at least somewhat disappointed.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that likes certain things. I'm sure there's more fans out there or else they'd stop making this, right? I've always found this stuff from Rookie to be super fun and lighthearted. Do I know it's fake? Absolutely. There's no way the guy can cum buckets of cum or have balls the size of his head. That being said the fantasy is fun to think about. What if I could endlessly cum without a refractory period? What if I could be a one man bukkake machine? What if I came so much she was guaranteed to get pregnant? All of these fantasies are fun to think about. Even if you're not thinking about the fantasies what about just living in the visuals? What makes a creampie hot, the thought of her getting pregnant or the cum dripping down? What if you just had so much cum dripping down all the time? It's like normal fake creampies on steroids. Don't know about others and frankly don't care, this stuff is great and everyone who dislikes it is just a hater.

I will admit that this stuff is not perfect. It's fun every once in a while but it does get pretty stale pretty fast. It's always the same thing, there's basically no variety, so you're hedging a lot on being in the right mood or enjoying the actress. Then there are the cum dodgers, oh god. When I came to watch her face get blasted and she turns away (looking at you Mako Oda) it just ruins my day. Sure, where there's a will there's a way and they'll get her covered eventually, but it's just not the same when they clearly don't want to be there. I've seen too many unfortunate entries that just missed the mark a little too much (pun intended).

If ever there was a theme where I wish it was me, fan appreciation is it. I mean that's literally the name of the game, me being a fan of the actress and being rewarded for it. You mean we can do the one thing I've always wanted to do? Where do I sign? The videos are light and refreshing and can be filled with a pretty healthy variety. It can take on a gangbang or bukkake feeling, it can take on more of a Wanz Factory 10 Min feeling, there's just a bit of anything available. Honnaka back in the day used to do some really fun ones, like the actress hides and if guys can find her they get to have some fun. You'd be surprised at what all has been tagged as fan appreciation over the years.

Part of the problem with fan appreciation is the more amateur nature of it. If you get guys that truly are random fans you get guys that struggle on camera. Either he can never cum or he cums in about five seconds flat. That kind of content can be really underwhelming at times, especially if they don't give you enough of it. You see that in KV's creampie series where there are guys who tap out without cumming and others that blow their load right away. Imagine the same here except condoms and then add on that it's also more likely to be faked. Especially in this day and age, the era of 30 random dudes for a KV gangbang is (mostly) a thing of the past. These days you get more of those home visit style videos that can just be all over the place, and the real essence of the fan appreciation is lost. It just looks so much more like a fan appreciation when there's a group of guys in the background waiting for their turn.

The idea of a girl getting run down by several dudes has a certain appeal to it. Maybe part of it is the fact she's going to appear helpless as they take turns, maybe it's the idea that she's slutty enough that one guy can't satisfy her, maybe it's both at the same time. Gangbangs as a theme are nice because you can both center the video around it and do nothing except a girl and many guys or you can go the other way and make it an element of the plot. Hey look, my homies were bored and horny so I called them over to bang my girl. There's just so many ways to utilize it, either as a focal point or not, and it's great.

How did I ever let gangbang get so low? I think a big portion is how little I would want to do it in real life. You ever wanted to take turns fucking a girl with your homies? No? What about with 10 strangers? Also no? I think another big portion of it is that multiple dudes can get in the way. Sometimes you want to see her tits bouncing or what have you and instead you're looking at the third dude on camera. Just get out of the way, I came for the chick not you. Especially as my preferences have grown to me enjoying more sensual stuff, gangbangs are pretty much the opposite and have lost some of their luster. I'm not saying I hate them but maybe a few years ago I would have put them a tier higher.

Everyone loves maids, right? Well, maybe love is a strong word considering I put it in B tier, maybe we can settle for everyone likes maids. I certainly do enjoy them, maybe not as much as the next guy, but I do. The idea of someone who will clean your house and everything inside it (which means you too!) is a nice thought. There's also that side of "yes master" that makes you feel big and strong, or maybe rich and powerful. Of course I wish I had someone ready to get me off whenever I needed it. Of course I wish she walked around half naked getting me in the mood every time I look up from my laptop. There's just simply a lot going on both visually and plot wise from an outfit alone, and most themes can't do it quite like this with such easy variety.

I'm going to guess I'm probably much lower on maids than most people. Thing is I don't get the appeal. Did everyone have maid cafes in their home town that they went to after school or something? I find a lot of my favourite themes are due to past experiences and I never had a maid cafe nearby (nor a maid for that matter) so it's just never been that great for me. I think that's why I enjoy the nude maid ones a bit more, because the maid theme is a bit downplayed when they visit a konbini or office to do your chores, and that I can get behind. Maybe the outfit gets people going a little too easy, I'd sooner get turned on by them in a nice pair of stockings or pantyhose.

I kinda lobbed to this with the last one but I honestly enjoy a simple pair of pantyhose just as much. The idea of ripping it open and going to town, or just the way it contrasts against their creamy, pale skin, oh mama. I think that's really the big one, that you get the visuals for essentially no work if you want it. Just have her in a skirt with pantyhose and you can do whatever you want with it. It usually doesn't feel like the kind of fetish you want all by itself but it's also nice that it's so simplistic it can go just about anywhere. Or you could go in the complete opposite and be a saleswoman for a company creating floral design pattern stockings. I've honestly seen a few that are almost purely meant to just be a vessel for pantyhose and it works, better than you would have expected too. Turns out hot people in hot clothes look hot. It's not all that common of a concept but when it hits it sure does hit.

Now, there is a reason it's down in B tier. For one, the pantyhose themes are sometimes really lame when the actress doesn't fill them out well enough. It takes a certain kind of actress that has a nice ass and nice legs and there just aren't enough of those. Or maybe there are and the boob guy I am just doesn't appreciate them the same way. It's just difficult to balance a video that has a strong enough pantyhose theme and the whole video is good enough. I've seen plenty of cases where the pantyhose theme is thrown in for good measure only for it to miss the mark completely. Nobody is wearing pantyhose at yoga in a leotard, get out of here. Sure, it can be hot as an aid to an office lady video, but then it's just an office lady video at heart.

Anyone want to go for a spin? Race queens are nice, always have been. If you've ever been to an auto show you've seen the hot lady in a hot outfit showing off the car. She doesn't even need to know a damn thing about it because I'll stop paying attention to the car and look at her instead. The outfits in race queen videos are always quite hot and fun, and as you can see there are often a lot of different choices available. It's not often that you get a theme that allows for such heavy variety with the outfit and still all looks fitting. Not to mention that but I also find because there's just so much stock in the outfit that the settings aren't quite as important. I mean sure, I want to see them atop a car or a motorcycle, but you'd be surprised how easy it is to enjoy it from the outfit alone.

Like most clothed themes I'm somewhat turned off by race queens. The outfits often cover up their best assets and it makes me a bit sad, and you really want someone curvy to fill out the uniform the way not everyone can. On top of that the outfit is the entire goal of the video so if they take it off then I'm not really feeling the same vibe. It also comes with certain visuals outside of the outfit that they tend not to do well on. They're not renting a Lamborghini to have sex in and yet that's what I would want to see. Sometimes they have sex on top of a car but it's not common enough for the genre at large to excite me, and even when they do they sometimes half ass it. No, I don't want you to go have sex on the stairs instead of on the car, get your head out of your ass. Sure, I don't really need it the way I do a classroom for a teacher film but that can be the difference between great and just good.

Everyone loves a good succubus video, right? Well, I've watched/read enough hentai to like it. The idea of a hottie showing up out of nowhere and sucking me dry is fantastic. Would I want it in real life? I mean, I can think of few ways to go that would be better than this. Death by snu snu, right? Or maybe I get lucky and she doesn't quite suck me dry and now I just have someone who will have as much sex as 18 year old me wishes he was having. That's kind of the point with succubus, getting someone who is into sex and has a bit of an assertive mindset. I find that setting the right mood can impact performances strongly and I can think of precious few that can impact the mood as much as succubus. When you get those horns attached to your head and some red contact lenses, the actress is just too invested not to go all out.

So what could go wrong with a succubus film? For one, I sometimes don't like the visuals. Part of why I watch JAV is for beauties that look more natural. I'm not talking about completely real amateurs but more like actresses who don't have body alterations that make them look excessively fake. Tattoos, balloon tits, nipple piercings, those are the kind of things that turn me off, and succubus can sometimes feel like that. I'm usually okay with horns but the tattoos in say Julia's distract me from enjoying her beauty. It's also a series that requires a strong performer to make it work and it's too easy for it to be pretty mediocre. It also requires a lot of visuals to stand out that lesser studios won't bother with and it just ends up a little underwhelming. Even with good studios, sometimes they just put a pentagram on the floor and call it a day. It helps, no doubt about it, but don't be so lazy.
