Oppaira's Watchlist Review - August 2024 - Part 1 ft. Julia, Konan Koyoi, Hibiki Otsuki, and More!

Welcome to the first half of my August Watchlist reviews. Let's go find out who came out on top this month.

Julia plays a neet who wants nothing more than to be left alone to play her Switch. Well, that and to touch herself as she gets horny. One day she accidentally catches a glimpse of her stepbrother's cock and seeing the real thing she's immediately turned on by it, and the rest is history.

I'll get the thing you came for out of the way: the video was surprisingly good. I came into it with low expectations, watching it primarily because Julia, ignoring that I was expecting the theme to be lame like others. I was pleasantly surprised at the spin of the video. So many neet videos have the actress being lame and stoic but Julia was upbeat and energetic. She had that assertive passion style she is good with and watching her push for a kiss or more action was actually great. There were plenty of moments where she was really into it, giving some risky paizuri with the stepmom in the background, going for another round after he was spent, or even pumping her hips in doggy. There were certainly a handful of misses, like a bright spotlight in the background, the outfits attempting to make her look 20 years younger (the hair styles, especially the pins), or a fairly lacking performance in the final scene. That being said, the first sex scene and the risky scene were incredible, and even the second sex scene was pretty solid too. After the first scene it had me wondering if this was an early contender for video of the year, it honestly started off that strong. It ultimately fell off way too hard for that, but it was still a plenty enjoyable film and one I would recommend.

Hibiki works as a tutor who loves to mess around with her students. She wears revealing clothing and puts herself in all kinds of crazy situations to make things happen, and when she finds out her student is hot for her the two can't help each other.

I came into this hoping that it would be something like the other fantastic DAS video that Hibiki starred in in terms of quality. Hibiki is a tutor? She's into her students and has sex with them? I mean, that's already a winning combination. This video had the right things on paper but turned out to be a bit of a miss. I wouldn't say it was bad but more like I expected a lot and it wasn't quite good. Hibiki got nice and passionate at times but there were lots of more generic sections I didn't expect. Little things she did like play with her boobs helped offset that but I expected more from a veteran like her. What was really unfortunate was just the way the video flowed. A lengthy intro you had to get through as she teased him several times before anything happened. Or you got a narrative showing her basically cucking her husband rather than a risky narrative. I'd far sooner see them almost get caught mid action rather than us be reminded her husband doesn't really do it for her. Again, I don't think it was bad but I think it being worth watching depends on how you view Hibiki. If you're watching most of her stuff it's better than the average video. If you're looking for the kind of holy grails she has in one of the absolute best careers of any actress, it's not that video.

Kana plays an office lady who gets stuck working late one night after delivering a bad report to her boss. Her senpai offers to help her fix the report and the two stay so late they end up crashing at a hotel. Except, the two don't do a lot of resting.

I won't lie and say this video looked incredible because honestly I had mixed opinions coming into it. It was 10th for a reason and I think I had a bit of misplaced faith. Kana can be a good performer and I put a lot of stock in that. Sometimes that worked out well, she wasn't bad by any means, but I expected an assertive level performance that Kana isn't the right fit for. Like she's fine, perhaps better than the average, but I was out here needing a Kurea Hasumi or Akari Niimura level performance to make it work. I liked the idea of her enjoying the sex so much she sucked him dry, quite literally. In fact he fainted at one point from it and when he awoke Kana was ready to go again. I begrudge that even with that direction a hotel video was only going to be so good. Sex in the shower was a little too brief to change much and with so much of it centered on a bed I got a little tired. The worst part was the fact that they could have very easily changed it up, like the guy trying to get a break and Kana chasing him down in the room, getting it on wherever that landed them. Would have made such a big difference and it's too bad they didn't go there. I don't necessarily regret watching it but it's nice to know that while Kana is perfectly capable of this kind of performance she won't knock it out of the park to turn an average plot into an incredible film.

Takashi works with Tsuaksa Aoi and miru, Tsukasa the more senior employee and miru the younger, newer employee. Turns out he is two-timing them and has to turn down Tsukasa when miru invites him for drinks. Unlucky for him as Tsukasa goes out anyway and runs into them. What's going on? As the two of them realize what his game is the two decide to compete for his affection.

This video suffered a bit as it was a great idea executed rather weakly. The intro was great and I was really into Takeshi getting caught. Then the action started and I was annoyed with how okay they were about it. It just seemed so strange for them to be okay with the other and happily take turns having sex. The whole time I kept wanting them to fight over him rather than peacefully letting the other take a turn. You'd see one of them just sit there when it wasn't their turn and it felt pretty underwhelming at times that they weren't more upbeat and engaged. That's not to say they were bad but I came in with a lot higher expectations than this video produced. It would have been nice to see Tsukas make miru feel bad that only Tsukasa had big enough tits for paizuri, and then miru could have squirted. There was just a lot of action jam packed into it that you couldn't exactly look at it as bad but I had expectations of grandeur that this video didn't live up to. Maybe people who are bigger miru or Tsukasa Aoi fans than myself might enjoy it more but to me it felt like a missed opportunity between two veterans who could have done way better.

Konan plays a teacher who starts getting turned on by one of her students ogling her cleavage. When she finds out that he has a girlfriend she gets even more outlandish as she's unable to handle the thought of him turning her down. Good thing for her though as he couldn't resist her charms and the two became fuck buddies.

Let's get straight to what you wanted, it's Konan in a teacher video so it's actually pretty good. Konan does well in videos where she can be herself and have fun with them. She's lively and passionate, and while this video had a lot of that it wasn't quite the right framing for her. I always find Konan is best when it's not a sensual thing but more of an upbeat thing. Konan will just naturally be somewhat sensual while smiling the entire way. While she certainly was energetic and had some opportunity to control the show the video also framed her as being lonely and feeling a bit worthless and ultimately coming across needy. The "I need you to make me feel like I've still got it" was good but again not what I would have preferred. The same was how I felt about the different scenes. Teacher scene in the classroom with her pantyhose a bit ripped? Absolutely 10/10 give me more. Then I see her having sex in a bedroom and go "well at least she's performing well". I can live with some mediocrity when other things go well but honestly I wouldn't have directed it with this composition of scenes.
