Oppaira's Watchlist Review - July 2024 - Part 1 ft. Ruka Inaba, Riho Shishido, Miyu Kiyohara, and More!

Welcome to part 1 of my Watchlist Review for July, let's go see how my choices fared.

Ruka Inaba plays an office lady who goes on a work trip with a colleague. When she notices he's into her she reciprocates and the two spend a steamy weekend together on the trip.

Ruka's been out of the game for a while so of course I had to take the first decent opportunity to watch her, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Forget the video, Ruka herself was as great as she has ever been. I was enjoying the performance, from her reasonable moaning, good paizuri, great eye contact, even leaning in to kiss her partner. It was a very pleasant experience that was only beat by the reminder that Ruka's body is nuts. She's no Shiori Tsukada but she might be her smaller sister with the incredible everything she has. Watching her ass in doggy with the yukata hiked up just enough or her geting railed with her stockings on, incredibly hot. The video itself was fine, it was a typical inn video with a positive spin for Ruka. That's not going to be exciting and you won't sit here happy about it but the other factors contribute to making it a pleasant viewing experience. Certainly not a banger, you need more interesting content for that, but as a Ruka fan sitting in the drought waiting for her return, I was happy.

Aya and Yuka are longtime friends but Yuka has been keeping a secret: she has the hots for Aya. Even though Aya is married she can't help but be attracted to her, and one day she just can't help herself. Aya soon finds that she enjoys Yuka more than her husband and the unrequited love turns into a passionate love story.

Firstly I thought the plot was pretty solid. This idea of unrequited love turning into something more especially as they were old friends was nice. It progressed pretty nicely as Aya wasn't quite sure what to do, then started to enjoy it, then even felt bad having sex with her husband. You could see the pained expression from Aya where she was struggling with the narrative and you could see where her performance changed. I would say it was enough to notice though perhaps not as drastic as I would have liked it to be. I also in general found that the content focused so much on the narrative instead of what might be entertaining lesbian content. You were supposed to enjoy what was going on conceptually instead of visually which is always a bit of a pain point for me. I often say that porn needs to be visually appealing first and foremost and lesbian sex often is a bit weaker on that. There were times you'd enjoy what they were doing but by the end I think a lot of it felt overdone. The dynamics didn't shift enough throughout the video to make scenes feel that much different and the final scene felt like the scene before it. Especially with action being on beds in hotel rooms or on a futon it didn't quite generate the more interesting action you needed. I would say it was still certainly enjoyable but when we're talking about bangers, a banger it was not.

Riho finds out about her boyfriend's DMM account and is mad. Why do you need porn when you have me? So, Riho does what any girlfriend would do: she offers herself if he'll give up porn.

I've been pleasantly surprised a couple of times by Riho in rougher films so I came in only hoping she could match that here. I must say that I was happy to be proven right that she could. I'll spare you reading the entire explanation and say it was great, not quite as great, but still great. Ultimately it did feel like there was some amount of roughness left out that I would have liked to see, watching her get deepthroated or squirt are part of what make her nice that this video didn't have. It made up in some ways by having her be quite charming as she was very into it with vibrant smiles and lots of dialogue. The POV nature of the film was both a strength and a weakness. For one I think you really felt her personality shine through and a lot of the camera angles were great. I found the few times they disregarded the POV camera to be a waste and even worse was the almost complete lack of any kissing which made her feel a bit distant. That being said it was still a very pleasant performance, enough to offset that scenes started to blend together at the two hour mark and you still had a couple of scenes left to go. It's not her best work but it's still good enough to be a banger and that's what matters.

Yuria loves in the countryside and is part of a sex club with some of the locals, and one day invites an unsuspecting Kana to join it. It doesn't take long for Kana to realize how great sex is and starts enjoying it.

I came into the video thinking there was a lot of lesbian action and while there was it was a bit wishy washy. While Yuria and Kana did interact a healthy amount, there was more when the guys were pushing for it and in either case they didn't really seem to enjoy it. That was a general trend of the video where actresses felt very dull at times. I mean sure there was interaction or sure there was some deepthroating but it all felt very half-baked. They did it but they felt like they weren't really all that into each other and it came off very soft instead of enthusiastic. The same just generally felt true of the video, especially with the setting being static in a tatami room and them just being nude the whole time. It could have had a lot more interesting and unique content and it just didn't. Hell, even the first scene having multiple guys was the only time that was true which was a huge letdown because the content was actually visually quite appealing then. Watching the various positions they were in from the fivesome combined with the lesbian action was great, so it started quite strong and then just fell off as it went on. Overall still a decent video but certainly underwhelming and not what I had hoped for. If they had stuck to what the first scene did or they really got into it then maybe, but the final product was just not quite there.

Sometimes you watch a video because you think it will be good, sometimes you watch it because you think it will be good eye candy; this one was definitely the latter. I came into this one thinking it wouldn't be particularly good, neither Haru's nor Momoka's were that impressive. Miyu is an actress that doesn't really get interesting opportunities, they all look boring as hell, so I figured this one would be interesting enough to be worth it. To some degree it certainly was more interesting but at the same time the video wasn't great. The outfits were more interesting than usual and more fitting for Miyu herself but also weren't really done that well. There were lots of moments where the outfits really failed, like having to button and unbutton the schoolgirl shirt or the shirt not being tight enough to show her tits outline well. There were some points it did look alright but those were the exception not the rule and it really took a toll on the video. The performance from Miyu was as bad as you would have expected and although no dialogue is what you expected it was also still not pleasant. The video was ultimately weaker than the previous ones and the previous ones weren't strong. I've seen most of the videos from Miyu that were themed and I just can't bring myself to watch even more generic stuff, so I guess we'll all just suffer through these bad videos together.

I hope you've enjoyed the first half of reviews. Just one banger review this time which ultimately is kind of what I expected. I didn't expect Miyu's film to be great considering what Haru's and Momoka's were like, nor did I expect an onsen film from Ruka Inaba to be a banger. But as I've said before, I'm still happy watching some actresses I like even if they aren't the best videos. I hope you'll join me for both part 2 of this and the August Watchlist. Until next time!
