Welcome back to "Pan Takes" the series where I dish out 10 quickfire reviews on some of the more notable films that I watched from the month of August. Got some familiar faces here along with a few new ones as well. Without further ado let's kick this off with none other than, Rara Anzai.

I usually do a full review of Rara Anzai's new films but honestly, this theme doesn't appeal to me so instead I'm just gonna do a quickfire review. The film doesn't contain any sort of traditional plot. The central focus revolves around ASMR. I feel like ASMR can be quite divisive. Some hate it and others love it. I fall into the former camp. It doesn't do anything for me. And unfortunately, the entire focus is on it. Every scene is shot in POV style with lots of ASMR. As a result, the film starts to feel really repetitive. Especially since the camera angles are all virtually the exact same. The action isn't anything special either. In fact, it's quite terrible.

There are only 2 sex scenes here which may not sound terrible at first but the position variety is severely lacking. In addition, there is a blowjob and paizuri scene but those aren't too great thanks to Rara's mediocre performance. It's probably not much of a surprise but her acting is very underwhelming. She's her typical self here, not much else to say.  Another issue is the pacing. The film spends way too much time for my liking on ASMR fluff which greatly bloats the runtime. Hell, there's even a scene at the start of her jerking off a dildo for about 25 minutes. It's painfully boring. If you enjoy ASMR then you'll no doubt get more out of it than I did. But even then, the film still has issues that go beyond the theme. Definitely a miss from Rara here.

It's been a hot minute since I've checked out a new Yuu Shinoda film. Personally, I find she's a bit too skinny for my liking. I can still watch her but I yearn for her to put on just a bit more weight so she doesn't resemble a twig. Anyway, the plot for this video is pretty well explained by the title. Yuu plays a sexually frustrated woman who ends up having an affair with her boyfriend's friend(?) who is staying at their place. It's a simple but effective plot making for some thrilling risky action. That aspect is certainly one of the major highlights here. There are 4 scenes in all here containing 2 full sex scenes, a blowjob scene, and lastly a handjob scene.

3/4 scenes feature an element of risk such as when she jerks him off under the kitchen table or fucking him while in bed with the boyfriend. At times it's a little egregious and silly but I think we all can suspend some disbelief with JAV. Now I have one issue in this area and that is the last sex scene is too long. It makes up about one-third of the entire film's runtime. As a result, the pacing and balance of the scenes are a bit skewed. I gotta mention how terrific Yuu's performance is. She exudes nice sultry energy and settles into her role quite well. Not to mention her facial expressions are on-point. If you've been slacking on Yuu Shinoda lately, this is a great film to jump back in with.

Starring "Hana Himesaki" & "Ruka Inaba"

Oh boy. I was super excited to check this one out. That cover alone is fire but just the sheer combo of Ruka Inaba and Hana Himesaki together sounded like a home run. However, it ends up being more of a foul ball. This film really doesn't boast a central premise but instead just focuses on the pair in a variety of slutty scenarios such as working as hostess girls. It's super simple but it gets the job done. So why was this film a letdown? Well for starters the action is pretty underwhelming. Every scene does feature the pair together working as a threesome which is indeed nice. But to be honest, only one sex scene out of the entire film actually impressed me.

The first threesome sex scene is terrific and is a major highlight. Unfortunately, that's it as the rest are just average at best. The others consist of a blowjob, tittyfuck, and an outercourse-type scene. Even the other threesome sex scene is just okay and doesn't reach the highs of the first one. This can be attributed to their lack of chemistry together. They barely interact at all with one another. A big disappointment there. The production values are fine but nothing more. Some of the settings are bland and the camerawork can be hit-or-miss at times. But their wardrobe is stunning at least. This film had so much potential but ultimately squandered it. Watch it for the first sex scene but that's it. The rest is a disappointment.

Starring "Aka Asuka"

I was not expecting much from this one but I came away pleasantly surprised. Now can I just say, when are studios gonna move away from this theme? It's not terrible on its own but it's getting so tiresome seeing it every release cycle from all the major studios. Anyway, the plot is what you'd expect with Aka going on a business trip with her employee, and having her way with him. The rest of the film follows the two going at it all day and night into the morning hour. There are no surprises here. It's the same premise you've seen over and over. It's fine but just a little tiresome at this point. Thankfully though, the film is still quite enjoyable.

Admittedly I haven't thought much of her acting so far but I was quite impressed here. She shows some nice enthusiasm and her facial expressions are solid too. All this makes for what is easily one of her better performances to date. The action is very straightforward for this series with the usual multiple sex scenes and some additional paizuri. Overall the sex here is excellent. The position variety is superb and there's very little filler to bog it all down. This leads me to the production values that are all solid. The pacing is well balanced, the lighting fits the theme, and her wardrobe is nice too. This all makes for what I'd consider to be her best overall film yet. The plot is somewhat uninspired but the rest is fantastic.

Starring "Hana Haruna"

I decided to take another look at Hana Haruna after enjoying her release last month and I'm definitely on board now. This particular film follows Hana as a teacher who takes in a student of hers into her home. Her husband isn't meeting her sexual needs so she starts to make advances onto her student. They of course end up having sex and the rest is history. The rest of the film centers on them exploring their newfound sexual relationship. It's a pretty satisfying plot that is certainly perfectly suited for Hana. Of course, physically she's a great fit with her mature appearance but also she does a wonderful job at playing her role. This is most noticeable in her facial expressions.

She conveys a wide range of emotions from self-doubt to lust and everything in-between. And her enthusiasm isn't too bad either. All around a quality performance. Next up is the action which is another highlight. In total there are about 4 scenes in all featuring 2 sex scenes, 1 handjob scene, and lastly a paizuri scene. Every scene here is great. Even the handjob scene that I usually loathe is terrific thanks to the setup and the use of POV. The sex scenes are superb with good intensity and position variety. Technically the film is well executed although the setting variety is very limited as they reuse the same room for 3/4 scenes. Overall, this is a fantastic film tailor-made for Hana Haruna. Great execution all around.

This is Maria Nagai's second release after becoming exclusive to Kira Kira. Unfortunately, the results are a bit mixed. The central premise casts her into a range of different sex worker roles such as a soapland girl, dominatrix, and masseuse. There are 6 in total and to be fair there's a decent amount of variety in the scenarios at the very least. But as you'll soon see, the execution leaves something to be desired. First off I'll mention one of my favorite aspects which is her performance. I think for the most part that her acting is relatively solid here. She takes on a more dominant approach to many of the scenes here with decent results. Don't expect anything too crazy but she gets the job done for sure.

Now, where this film begins to falter is in the action. There are 6 scenes overall with only 2 being sex scenes. And even then one is pretty terrible thanks to her outfit obscuring much of her body. The other scenes are very mixed. There is a decent face sitting scene that is nice but the rest of forgettable such as a paizuri scene. Given Maria's fake assets it's not too enjoyable. Another letdown is the heavy use of static camerawork. I rail against it many times but I do understand why it's being used lately, due to Corona most likely. However, there are still some very poor shots that give you a really lousy view of the action. In the end, I still enjoyed some parts of it for sure but the execution left me feeling underwhelmed with a lot of wasted potential.

Starring "Chitose Saegusa"

Leave it to Rocket to combine the art of wrestling with the art of JAV. I haven't watched much of Chitose or Rocket lately so why not kill two birds with one stone? The plot isn't anything too complex unlike some of Rocket's films. The plot casts Chitose as a famous female wrestler who ends up meeting her match against some male combatants. As a result, they fuck her mouth and her pussy as they fill her up with cum(hence the title) as well as cover her in it too. In typical Rocket fashion, it's a very entertaining ride with some fun wrestling fluff matches in-between the action. Now speaking of the action, let's talk about it. There are essentially just 3 scenes in all ranging from a blowjob to a sex scene and lastly a group sex scene.

I will say the film is pretty light on action, which shouldn't come as a big surprise given Rocket films are typically like that. That being said the scenes are pretty good. One of the best aspects is how intense they can be. One negative though is the overabundance of fake cum, especially in the final scene. I can overlook it somewhat as it does suit the wacky plot but it's still absurd. Anyway, another highlight is her acting. She delivers a superb performance as she's appropriately feisty here with excellent energy. At least until the end when she gets fucked senseless. Production-wise it does feel a bit cheap given the reused setting and outfits but it's not a big deal. RCTD-415 makes for a rousing good time. A sure watch for any Chitose fan.

Starring "Yua Mikami"

Here we have yet another audio-focused film from S1 this month. SSIS-144 revolves around the theme of dirty talk. The film presents a wide array of scenarios that cast Yua into lewd situations while incorporating plenty of dirty talk. Now unfortunately as someone who doesn't speak Japanese, it's all lost on me. With subtitles or a proper understanding of the language, I'm sure it'd be much more satisfying. It's still enjoyable thanks to her acting at least. I think it's one of her better performances in recent memory. She boasts great energy, lewd facial expressions, and she takes in the lead in several scenes in a convincing fashion. The best highlight for this is the first sex scene. She's quite good there.

Unfortunately, the action is where the film begins to falter. As with the other S1 film, there are just 2 sex scenes. The other scenes feature a blowjob, tittyfuck, masturbation, and a very dull dildo play scene at the start. Those latter 2 scenes are completely skippable, the tittyfuck is solid and the blowjob scene is okay but really could have been expanded to a full sex scene. Some untapped potential as a whole. Lastly, the production values fair decently well. The wardrobe and setting variety is terrific ensuring each scene feels fresh. Lighting is alright for the most part but does feature some oddly lit backgrounds like in the first sex scene. Overall, a great film from Yua with a good performance and variety. Now we just need some subtitles...

I decided to give Alice Kisaki another look with her newest release from this month. I was pleasantly surprised by her debut and I think she has some potential. This particular video revolves around the theme of her getting creampie'd for the first time. Now, are the creampies legit? Obviously not. Nearly every single cumshot is fake. I really dislike this theme. It's so basic and vanilla made worse by the massive focus on creampies when they are completely fake in the first place. I don't hate fake creampies inherently but loathe the idea of "oh look it's her first creampie" when they're not real in the first place. As such all the scenes are pretty bland and uninspired. Now continuing with the negativity we have her acting.

Given she is still very new I can cut her some slack but as you'd expect she's pretty underwhelming here. She's lacking proper enthusiasm and is still quite timid. Again I'm not gonna hold it too much against her but I still have to point it out. The action fairs a bit better at least. There are 3 sex scenes in all with the other being a scene where some guys cum on her pussy as she masturbates(but it's all fake). That scene is terrible but the sex scenes are solid. However, the pacing is kinda bloated as some scenes go heavy on foreplay and with her dull acting it's even worse. She does look fantastic at least and makes for some solid eye candy. Overall it's fine but hopefully, better things are to come.

Decided to check out a brand new actress for myself in Karen Yuziriha. I'm glad I did because I was very impressed by this first impression. The premise is pretty interesting casting Karen as a city girl who has moved to the rural countryside. She's very lewd though as she ends up teasing the local men in the area ultimately leading to her sucking their dicks and even fucking a select few. All this with a heightened focus on cum swallowing. It's a great plot that gives her a chance to shine as a performer and flex her seduction skills. Which speaking of, her acting here is brilliant. I was quite blown away honestly. She's super engaging, enthusiastic, and oozes slutty vibes which fits perfectly here.

The best word to describe here is "spunky". All around a top-notch performance. Physically I think she looks nice. It's obvious she's had plenty of work done but the results are good I'd say. She has a rather unique and memorable look. Anyway, the action is terrific too. Most of the focus is indeed on blowjobs and handjobs which I usually feel "meh" about but thanks to her fantastic performance I was entertained all the way through. There is plenty of cum swallowing too but I'm inclined to say the cum is fake. The effect is still great though as she'll often milk several loads out. And the variety is terrific as well both in the settings and scenarios. MIAA-484 is one of the better films I've seen so far this year. Can't wait to see more from her.
