I'm sure you all have felt this feeling before. You've looked at an actress's career and wondered "why is she not getting more work". Either they receive very little work at all, mostly multi-actress films or releases with C-tier studios with mediocre production values. Regardless you're left feeling very underwhelmed and disappointed. It's a terrible feeling when you dig through an actress's backlog only to discover, there's barely anything of value. There can be several reasons for a disappointing career. It could be personal issues, maybe something related to their agency, or perhaps just simply not enough interest on the market for them. I'm sure you all have at least one or two actresses in mind who fit this bill. Feel free to let me know in the comments. In the meantime, I will give my thoughts on 5 actresses who I feel deserve much better.

5. Rina Ayana

Rina Ayana is probably the least well-known actress on my list. I'm sure most of you reading this are probably not aware of her. I can completely understand though as she often goes under the radar but I firmly believe she deserves better. Rina made her debut back in 2015 with "Nanpa Japan" studio. The film, NNPJ-092, portrayed her as an airline stewardess with 10 years in the business. How much of that is true is anyone's guess. After her debut film, she became a freelance actress. She worked with many reputable studios such as Venus, Chijo Heaven, Rocket, and Madonna to name a few. Now given her older age and mature looks she quickly became type-casted as a "milf" in the business.

This, of course, did limit her potential but she still received some big roles such as starring in ZUKO-114 alongside Aimi Yoshikawa, Erika Kitagawa, and Asahi Mizuno. But traveling closer to the present-day she barely receives any work. It's either a random multi-actress film or a solo role with a C-tier studio. It's a damn shame because I firmly believe she's got one of the best asses in JAV currently. Plus her tits aren't bad either. Admittedly she's not super pretty but I digress. While I understand the limited scope of her appeal I still think she deserves more starring roles such as with Venus or Fitch. Unfortunately, I believe her career is gonna fizzle out pretty soon. Hopefully, before that happens she'll get some more work but I'm not holding my breath.

4. Nina Nishimura

I understand Nina Nishimura's body isn't for everyone and her limited appeal is probably what led to her having a rather underwhelming career. Even so, I still believe she deserves much better. Nina debuted clear back in 2010 with Abc/ Mousou Zoku studio. Certainly makes sense given her figure. Surprisingly though she disappeared after just a handful of videos. It wasn't for another 4 years before we'd see her again. When she made her return she shot for a decent variety of studios such as Crystal Eizou, Rocket, Maguro, and Maza. The majority of her work was indeed with studios specializing in thicker actresses which makes perfect sense. Now while she does still have some great films the quality of most of them is questionable, to say the least.

One example is that a massive chunk of her releases is with Digital Ark and Weekender. These studios are very formulaic and repetitive honestly. Beyond that, the other releases are with C-tier studios or multi-actress films that often boast mediocre production values. Throughout her career, you can probably count the number of worthwhile quality films on one hand. I realized she's not the prettiest actress out there and her chubby figure certainly puts some people off but she should still see some work with studios like Fitch for example that specialize in her body type. I think she has some great potential but sadly she's never given a chance to shine. Maybe if she lost some weight other studios would eye her but then she'd lose her signature appeal.

3. Honoka Mihara

Honoka Mihara is probably the most famous actress on my list. Now don't get me wrong I'm aware she does have some terrific solo releases under her belt and even some great multi-actress films too. But those tend to be few and far between which is absolutely unfair. Honoka debuted in 2015 with MAXING studio. She stayed as an exclusive with them for 5 films before being set free and working as a freelancer. Right off the bat, she got to shoot with many renowned studios such as E-Body, Befree, Oppai, and Glory Quest. However, it didn't take long for her to jump into doing more hardcore-related fetishes which may have pigeon-holed her sadly and led to her limited roles.

Her third film saw her participating in bukkake. Not what'd you expect from a new debut. Literally, her next film was her first anal shoot and then followed by bondage and deepthroat. It doesn't stop there as her 2016 release,AVOP-245, was her most extreme film yet which featured anal, DP, and the swallowing of several types of fluids. This ultimately limited her to receiving mostly fetish-type releases revolving around anal, bondage, rough-sex, and "fluid" type films. And while yes she does get a few mainstream releases from time to time it's not nearly enough. She has such potential too with her stunning figure, great tits, and her terrific acting. It's such a shame that she rarely receives the spotlight as she deserves.

2. Shiori Tsukada

Oh, how I wish she would have turned out better. Now granted she's still active of course but the overall quality of her career is mediocre at best. Shiori Tsukada made her debut in 2013 with Kyandei studio. It didn't take long for her to move on from them and shoot for studios like Abc/Mousou Zoku, E-Body, and K-Tribe. All studios that certainly specialize in chubby, thick, and busty actresses. Now once in a while, she did receive an opportunity to shoot for the bigger named studios such as Wanz Factory, Oppai, and even Moodyz. But those opportunities were very few and far between.

Now in the year 2021 things still haven't improved. Actually if anything her output has gotten much worse. She barely receives any work at all these days and if she does it's with D-tier studios or just Digital Ark which as I mentioned before are very repetitive. Her releases are incredibly infrequent and this issue has only possibly magnified with the rise of Covid-19. Now don't get me wrong. I realize her chubby figure doesn't exactly resonate with the general audience and on top of that, she's an admittedly mediocre performer at best. But still, she should be given at least a few more opportunities. It's a shame her career is probably just gonna fizzle out. I really don't see anything turning around for her in the near future. Hope I'm wrong though.

1. Maki Kyoko

Easily the most frustrating actress on my list. I cannot fathom why she isn't getting more work. She's got an incredible body with a pretty face to boot but barely receives any work these days. Maki Kyoki made her debut with MAX-A back in 2011 actually. She would release several films with them being becoming freelance shortly after. During this time she did work with a few big-name studios such as Madonna and Oppai. Releases of that caliber are sadly few and far between though. Unfortunately, the majority of her work has been with lesser-known studios or being apart of multi-actress films from studios like Hunter and Switch. Even to this day the same issue still exists. She barely receives any work and if she does it's in a multi-actress film.

She seldom gets the starring single role which is very frustrating. Once in a blue moon, you'll see a release with someone like Moodyz or Chijo Heaven but it's always a co-starring role. I just don't get it. At least with the other actresses on my list, I can sorta understand their limited work given their unique body shape or history of fetish material. But Maki's body is perfectly balanced and she's a very solid performer. She really reminds me of Kaho Kasumi in a way. Maki absolutely deserves better but sadly her outlook doesn't look the best. Perhaps it's an agency issue. She still has some decent videos but not nearly enough. With all that said I firmly believe Maki Kyoko has by far the most undeserving underwhelming career of any actress in JAV.
