Some actresses get way more attention and praise than others for various reasons. As a result they'll often be labeled as overrated. Maybe it's because their acting isn't up to par or perhaps their physical appearance isn't as great as some think. Now sometimes that label is warranted in some cases(sorry Rion) and in other cases it is not. I'm here to give my take on 5 actresses with overwhelming popularity that absolutely deserve it. In addition I'll provide a few videos that best represent their strengths. Now this is gonna be a very subjective list of course so I'm sure there's gonna be a lot of you out there who will disagree with me. Feel free to yell at me in the comments. So with all that out of the way let's begin with my number 5 choice.

5. Anri Okita

Ah yes, one of the biggest names always mentioned when it comes to overrated actresses. Some reasons people cite for that is her face or that her acting isn't that great. Or they say all she has is boobs. Much like Hitomi, Anri has garnered a massive following in the west for that very reason. But I do believe she's got more going for her than just her immaculate rack. Even though her chest is 100% deserving of praise. Some will argue until their blue in the face that her boobs are fake or at least augmented in some way. I say who cares. I personally think she may have undergone fat grafting or something similar to enhances her bosom but the results either way speak for themselves. They're near perfect in every way from their shape and  to their size. And they compliment her figure perfectly and suit her very nicely.

Another reason people often bring up is that her acting is subpar. Now don't get me wrong as I don't think she's perfect and in the beginning of her career she was quite average. But over time she greatly improved and became of the best around before she retired. Some examples of her brilliant acting can be found in BBI-214 and MIDE-294 just to name a few. However the one aspect of her that I believe is nearly undisputable in her stunning physique. She boasts a near perfect hourglass figure. Her waist-to-hip ratio is absolutely incredible. Not to mention her thighs are massively thick too. It's very apparent she takes care of her herself and it shows. For all those reasons I firmly believe that Anri Okita is more than deserving of all the hype and attention she receives.

4. Hitomi Tanaka

Is anyone really surprised to see Hitomi on my list here. I know I'm one of the biggest Hitomi homers around but I really do believe she's perfectly rated and has earned the praise she receives. She's quite easily one of the most popular actresses internationally and has garnered a massive following here in the west. It's quite easy to see why that is. Given that the west, and to be specific the U.S, is very boob centric it makes perfect sense why Hitomi is so popular given her massive bust. But that very reason is why some say she's overrated. Citing that all she has is just big boobs and nothing else. Well I very strongly disagree. Now I'm not gonna sit here and defend her boobs as even I don't think they're perfect and can see why some would be turned off by them. I still think they're fantastic but let's move on from that.

Some say she's not very pretty but I disagree. Early on in her career her face a bit rough for sure but she's looking much better now and personally I think she's beautiful. Beyond that though her figure is pristine. Her waist is absolutely insane and she's super fit leading to an unbelievable hourglass figure. But that's not all as I believe her acting is some of the best around. Sure she started out rather dismal at the start of her career but she's blossomed into a terrific performer since then. For any naysayers just watch MIRD-150 or PPPD-402. I'm not saying she's the best ever but she's definitely above average at the very least. Not to mention she's deserves plenty of respect with a career spanning over a decade. An achievement not easy to pull off these days. For all those reasons I firmly believe Hitomi has rightfully earned all the acclaim she gets and is more than just a pair of big tits.

3. Yuma Asami

Yuma Asami is a treasure. She's an actress that garnered lots of fame and attention throughout her career. According to DMM in 2006 and 2007 she frequently topped the sales charts and even placed #1 a few times. However is she worthy of all that praise? I very strongly say yes. Yuma had a rather prosperous career that was unfortunately cut short in 2013 as she started undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer. She managed to defeat it and has since then wrote an autobiography and even released a debut mini album pursuing her career in music. She's one of the most beloved and well respected actresses ever in JAV and I say it's all for good reason.

She had one of the brightest and bubbliest personalities around. She was always so cheerful and in good spirits with a big smile on her face. In addition her personality reflects her performance ability as well. She was super expressive and always gave it her all becoming one of the most consistent performers in her time. Just as beautiful as her personality was her figure itself. She was very pretty boasting a brilliant smile. In addition her body was terrific and her boobs were just as good. All natural, nicely shaped and perky. Such a shame her career ended prematurely but it's great to see her doing well and chasing after her dream. Wish all the best for her!

2. Ai Uehara

If you were to poll a group of JAV fans and ask them to name the most prolific actress from the past decade then chances are you'll hear the name "Ai Uehara" pop up. But is all her acclaim deserved or is she overrated? Well I firmly believe she's earned that fame. More on that later but first a brief history of Ai. She intially got her start in 2011 shooting for lesser known studios and starring in multi actress films. It wasn't until a year or so later when she got more mainstream roles and rose to the top of the JAV world. She enjoyed much success for several years before calling it quits in 2016. She's garnered widespread respect from both the industry and fans alike. And I'm here to say it's 100% deserved.

For starters Ai Uehara was not shy to any fetish and shot films in almost every genre imaginable. Some of those include bukkake, gokkun, creampies, interracial, anal, dp and lesbian just to name a few. No matter what you were into you'd find something to enjoy from her massive library of films. Her bubbly and vibrant personality was another shining attribute of hers. She never phoned in a performance and always gave it her all. And last but not least was her one of a kind body. No other actress had a figure like hers with her broad shoulders, thick thighs, nice ass and great waist. Ai Uehara was a once in a generation talent that is easily worth the praise she receives.

1. Kurea Hasumi

Kurea Hasumi is easily one of the most popular and well known actresses around in JAV at the moment. Some may argue that she's overrated. Well I'm here to say that is far from the truth and she absolutely deserves every bit of hype surrounding her. Kurea got her start clear back in 2012 with HMP studio. Soon after she started branching out with other studios and quickly rose to fame and topped the charts. However sometime in around 2016 she changed agencies and slowly faded from the limelight and was reduced to shooting for much lesser known studios. But in 2019 she started receiving much bigger roles and slowly reclaimed her former status. Now she's at the top of her game once again, and for good reason.

One of her best attributes has to be her amazing figure. Say what you will about her fake tits but there's no denying her physique is incredibly toned and she's in wonderful shape. She actively works out and it definitely shows. Her legs are long and sexy and of course her ass is second to none. Easily one of the best asses around and to make it even better Kurea knows exactly how to use it. I don't think anyone would disagree that she's an electric performer and one of the best around. Her raw enthusiasm is unrivaled imo and when it comes to playing dominant roles no one excels like her. When you combine that figure, dat ass and her extraordinary acting ability you get a star unlike anyone else who is more than deserving of the hype.
