It has been about 8 months since her last release in July of 2020. She seemed to take a lengthy hiatus due to Covid-19. Now she is fully back and ready to go. There is a lot of hype behind this one. It instantly reached number one on the sales charts after all. The setup is very straightforward with her playing a sex worker in various situations. S1 seemed to keep it simple for her re-introduction. Now the question is, how does the video fair? Is it worthy of the hype or is it one of the biggest letdowns of 2021? Let's see...

Plot

As I mentioned up above the general premise is very straightforward casting Rara as a sex worker in 5 different scenarios. Some of which include a soapland girl, hostess worker, masseuse, and even a dominatrix. The variety here is relatively solid. Now it's not really a setup that I personally connect with but the film does a good job at mixing it up with a nice range of scenes. It's not anything innovative or brand new but it's serviceable and gets the job done.

Sex

Unfortunately, this is where the film starts to fall apart. There are indeed 5 scenes in all with 2 full sex scenes, a paizuri scene, and 2 handjob scenes. On the positive side, the first sex scene is pretty solid...and that's really about it. The other sex scene is marred by terrible camerawork(more on that later) and underwhelming intensity. The paizuri scene is okay at best but again suffers from some production quality issues. But worst of all is the two handjob scenes that are incredibly lackluster. Especially disappointing in the dominatrix scene as it had some real potential but goes nowhere. Handjobs are really bland but if the actress's performance is good it can elevate it but not here. They're completely forgettable. All around a giant snoozefest.

Production Quality

The film really doesn't fare much better in this department either sadly. Honestly I really only have two gripes but they're severe enough to ruin the scenes. First off the camerawork is relatively decent throughout the film until the last scene. The final scene incorporates the use of static cameras for the entire duration. I absolutely despise this technique as it provides the viewer with very poor views of the action. I understand the intent to give the scene a more voyeuristic and intimate feel but it falls completely flat. Now the lighting again is pretty solid across the board except for the paizuri scene that features a flashing light in the background. It's super obnoxious and very annoying. On the bright side, Rara wears a few nice outfits and looks pretty damn nice. I can't deny she's a bit flabby but I don't mind and her tits are probably the biggest they've ever been. The set designs are varied enough and the pacing is pretty even throughout. But still, when you have two scenes ruined by the production quality, that's a big issue.

Overall Satisfaction

Admittedly I went into this film with a wealth of high expectations(my own fault for sure). I got caught up in the hype and fell flat on my face. Nearly everything about this film is unremarkable. That's especially true regarding her performance. I don't need to tell you that Rara is known to be a weak performer and sadly not much has changed since her hiatus. Pretty mild energy across the board along with underwhelming facial expressions. The dominatrix scene suffers the most from this as she's completely unconvincing in this role. She's pretty much the same since she left sadly. SSIS-025 is quite easily one of the biggest disappointments of the year. Lackluster action, asinine production choices, and mediocre acting. Rara Anzai is some superb eye-candy for sure but there's very little substance behind it with this film.
