The plot in #8 is probably the only 'weak point' I can assign.  If you've seen the others, you know what to expect here.  They even go to the same ryokan as what was used in previous iterations.  However, GOGOS is smart enough to know that if something isn't broke, don't fix it.  Fans of this series keep on watching them not due to any novel plot twists, but seeing a certain same-sex private home video-type fantasy enacted again and again with different women.

MIKU--or CHIHARU--nails the older and in charge look.  She is perfectly suited in a movie like this.  That may be the trick, actually.  In a throwback to the previous series of a similar name, MIKU gives off a strong 'navigator' vibe.  Rather than featuring two actresses near the same age, we get a delicate balancing act with the mature and experienced MIKU spending intimate time with ENA, three or four years her junior.  Go into this one knowing the general vibe.  Stay for the eye candy and to see a beautiful friendship develop into something gloriously sexual.
