Among our blog staff at least, it's well known that I--the site owner and writer of all site update reviews--am a major fan of MIKI SUNOHARA. Here we have a JAV star whom since her debut well over a decade ago has seemingly not aged a day and NEVER dials in a performance. Perhaps that is the secret to maintaining one's natural beauty? Simply trying hard no matter how unusual the role is? While she's never been what one can consider an 'S-Tier' actress, she's always been a wonderful example of showing even JAV stars are capable of going the extra mile. She also, as can be asserted from today's update, is down to appear in just about anything and against all odds, shows what it means to be MIKI.

To this day, while many a JAV studio has released curveball movies--titles that go against the grain of their normal material, ones that make at least one eyebrow of each fan raise in a combination of awe and confusion--when ROCKET decides they're going to do something unusual, it's time to buckle up and hang in tight. Even by ROCKET standards, STONE LESBIAN SNAKE WOMAN is a really weird movie. With weird the name of the game, we're also aware that even on a site like ours this may be a 'breakthrough' movie--a release that truly strives to jump out of the box--but it may not be a popular movie...and that's OK! Just how a JAV studio may release that curveball every so often, we also have few reservations about 'testing the waters' (though even that may be pushing it as to my knowledge there are no other movies even remotely resembling this one!) with especially unique updates.

Alongside MIKI, we have CHIHARU SAKURAI whom in a previous update also played a lesbian though then just an innocent student one. Here, she plays a bitchy nurse (really, that's what the role called for) whom due to her daddy owning the clinic, seems to have free reign to dominate over most anyone. MIKI, an internal medicine specialist whom recently got engaged to another doctor in the clinic, is in for a rude awakening as marriage proposals are shattered because of Nurse Chiharu operating mischief behind the scenes. A nervous breakdown or an actual talking stuffed snake toy is anyone's call, but soon enough, she transforms into a mentally cracked incarnate of Medusa and wants to enact revenge...by totally lezzing out.

There's two ways to go into the bulk of this movie: the way it's officially described and portrayed as actual magic via one of the Gorgons somehow turning up in Japan or the sad, tragic, and near instant mental decline of a female doctor who found love, had it snatched away, and cannot face reality anymore. Is the Medusa all in MIKI's mind? Is Chiharu secretly also a lesbian and just plays along to get her bonus thrills? Is what we see in this movie less 'reality' and more of what MIKI believes she is seeing? As you can tell, when you spend several full days subtitling a movie, one's mind begins to think about certain finer details of a movie even the director probably did not have in mind.

As a lesbian movie, this checks all the boxes of 'play'. As a weird JAV movie, even more so. As a movie one can find 'gratification' from, it remains questionable. The market for lesbian Medusa movies probably is still in a nascent state, but when it fully forms, we'll have first mover advantage. Oh, and before closing out this review, if STONE LESBIAN SNAKE WOMAN could not get any more unusual, the last 30 minutes consists simply of MIKI and CHIHARU in full medusa form posing in various ways to elevator music and yes, it is part of the plot.
