Quick programming note--or a naming note--before we dive into reviewing this massive double update: the first update we showed from this series was actually the ninth. Today's is the seventh. We will be following FF3=FF6 rules from here on and and will be numbering the movies according to their original Japanese order. In fact, that maiden update did so well we plan on showing the entire series starting with today's, the seventh (the first filmed in FHD) through present day. These are beasts to subtitle, but we feel the end result is worth it!

Izakayas are rowdy affairs. It's hard to imagine one empty unless it's truly off hours or is on its last legs. When asked to describe one, the simplest answer is "Japanese diner" but even that isn't totally accurate. Diners nowadays serve three groups: seniors, those in dire straits, and angsty teens who don't have the means to go anywhere else. Thus, even when they are packed, they still won't get that loud. Izakayas--especially on Friday nights--are a world onto themselves with company employees often heading off to spend hours and hours along with a big wad of company cash for cheap eats and risque talk. After all, these after work engagements are one of the few times employees of various ranks from new hires to the bosses and executives themselves can almost be on an even playing field.

SADISTIC VILLAGE has capitalized on this trend and somehow located an actual izakaya that has on-and-off let them film full-fledged movies there. While the customers are plants, the location appears to be the real deal. This ain't no JAV set! MAGIC MIRROR IZAKAYA AMATEURS VS MACHINE VIBRATOR GAME SHOW 7 (and yes, along with aligning the number scheme to that of its OG run, we will also switch the descriptor of the vibrator to match its Japanese wording) features four 'targets' for a game show like no other!

The rundown: we target eager women who want to make money! How? Ladies Day Campaign! Film a quick promotional clip for Izakaya Furu-chan (meaning 'old') and immediately get 5,000 yen off your bill. Stick around and answer some naughty questions plus a wee bit more (see screenshots) to win even more cash. It's OK! Your boyfriend will never find out! And sure you can view the izakaya the whole time, but thanks to our magic one-way mirror, they can't see in! 

Delightful MC's in the form of the always engaging Abe-chan in a fish hat and one of SADISTIC VILLAGE's resident directors dressed as a volcano for some reason lead the way from start to sexy end. Later on, we even get "are you actually Japanese?" JAV actor Jitta Hanaoka to help out with his banana-clad manhood. (fun fact: Jitta may in fact be Korean if Wikipedia is indeed accurate).

If one thing can be said among many praises it's that the action never lets up. This is a fun, fun movie from start to finish. Thanks greatly to Abe-chan, whom may not be the easiest person to subtitle, but his rapid fire late night comedian style delivery plus the insane action makes all four encounters glorious. That toy they use--called simply a 'machine vibrator' or the dull 'Love'--is a riot. We've been calling it the Vaginator here and whatever moniker fits it best, the ability for it to thrust as fast as the Aroma Sonic while simultaneously squirting artificial ejaculate is the final form of good science. Maybe not enough to win the Nobel Prize, but enough to give SADISTIC VILLAGE the cred they deserve.

While only two of the four encounters end in full sex (how else can they afford to shoot such a gargantuan movie after all?), they're all really fun. The final scene starring MAI ARAKI and newcomer RUNA TAKATSUKI is great because the former while looking super innocent transforms into a self-admitted sex freak whereas MAI ARAKI, known for being something of an anything goes actress, is the one who remains mostly prim-and-proper. MAGIC MIRROR IZAKAYA AMATEURS VS MACHINE VIBRATOR GAME SHOW 7 almost perfectly shows off the wildness of a Japanese izakaya while putting a unique take on AV game shows. Highly recommended.
