Some say never judge a book by its cover. This is so very true...for books. But for JAV? Also true!

Getting right into it, even this author was on the fence about THE PRIVATE PARTS GUESSING GAME - LEAVING IT UP TO THE VIRGINS EDITION. That huge studio of yore? Gone. RIRI KOUDA? Absent. A huge cast? With only three contestants and one guy, not exactly. Extremely unusual challenges that this series has not yet done? Also negative. In fact, the trailer notes that this one has went back to its roots.

Thus, on paper and visually we have a movie by ROCKET that while continuing a great--dare I say legendary!--JAV series, does not have the recipe for success. Or does it?

We've shown many a PRIVATE PARTS GUESSING GAME movie at ZENRA and the make-or-break-it aspect of all of them has not been the 'beauty' of performers nor the size of the cast. Nor even RIRI herself! What separates diamonds from uh...emeralds is the rivalry! We've seen ones that had eye candy for as far as the eye can see, but felt way too quiet. We've had others that seemed too focus on ogrish older men. While today's update does not feature my favorite combination of younger guys and older women (c'mon ROCKET, let's have a real MILF version and why not, a version where one of the women is a newhalf!), we get three extra busty contestants and one actor who really nails the ruggedly handsome bad boy look like nobody's business. All in all, these four play off each other well and MAI HENMI (here credited as IROHA NARIMIYA) also dare I say brings a performance that's just as good as RIRI's. That she has handled hosting roles for ROCKET in the past surely has helped.

The flow of LEAVING IT UP TO THE VIRGINS EDITION is unique. Since we've only 'one round' that in a sense was elongated to fill up the 155 minutes of run-time, in a way things play out slower than normal. Everything one likes about previous GUESSING GAME movies in terms of scene structure is here, but the journey to the extra wild penalty game (yes, it's still another "nakadashi sex until everyone is pregnant challenge" and sorry, it's been done so much it's hard to count it as a spoiler) requires a bit more patience. The titjob scene in particular almost overstays its welcome. I believe director KANBE TARO really, really loves big breasts and titjobs and ensuring his movies have at least one extra juicy paizuri performance can be considered a 'JAV director side benefit'.

We get a lot here in spite of it only being one group. This may not be my favorite update in the series, but it vastly exceeded my initial expectations. That everyone worked so well together in particular ensured the movie stays enjoyable from start to finish. A game show of this caliber that's also too quiet? Not this one. It's wild, funny, and contains some unexpected surprises along the way.
