Timing and Translation by ZENRA

A trend for these reviews at least is noting how when one is deep into a series, it becomes difficult to put pen to (digital) paper if the concept remains relatively unchanged with only faces changing things up. But for the EMBARRASSMENT SCHOOL STARK NAKED SEX-ED LESSON series, we indeed get a something where instead of keeping things relatively static, each movie--especially the last few--have done pretty good jobs of freshening things up while still confining themselves to the same general theme and the same set...and somehow it works!

As crazy it sounds, today and Friday's absolutely without a doubt massive update (as of writing this, it now holds the records for most amount of subtitled lines in a single movie at just under 4000!) may be my favorite of the series. The casting of the students is varied: we go from pale and shaved to slightly curvy with mild trimming to URARA KANON). On top of this we've REONA TOMIYASU, ZENRA newcomer. A trend in this SADISTIC VILLAGE series is after the first scene to introduce an additional female usually in a teaching role. REONA here absolutely nails it. Age-wise, she most likely is about the same as her co-stars, but gives off a vibe that is oddly both mature and ditzy and good gosh does it work. 

I am in a weird position writing this review. For being the subtitler who just finished a marathon session to end all marathon sessions--weeks!--there should be a lot for me to say about SEX-ED LESSON 6. It's long, yes (though a wee bit shorter than the previous one). The scenarios are well-thought out. Camera-work has improved. Shot during COVID there are some masks, yes, but the female cast never wears them (including an always welcome KIKKA ARASHIRO). The sex is fantastic, the embarrassed nudity on point and happens almost nonstop from start to finish. But is there more than can be said? 

Here we've a movie in a JAV series one can soundly now consider 'matured'. It does not recreate the wheel but continues where the last one left off. I appreciate the director for not simply rehashing the same plot lines but reworking things in a way where each movie besides new faces does bring new types of scenarios into play even while maintaining the same overall structure. One--and maybe the only unless one counts seeing more of an increasingly out of shape Computer Sonoda than anyone really needs to see--negative is somehow URARA KANON is the only JAV star cast member who for some reason does not have sex. Surely a budgetary reason, but being a favorite of mine, if there was one performer I'd love to see go all the way, it would have been her.
