Best of JAV 2024: Best Debuts, Rising Stars, Top AV Makers

Now for the biggest debut of 2024 with S1’s Kiho Kanematsu. A former AKB48 singer and Gravure idol who made the jump to porn. Known celebrities making the jump are like instant clickbait if they switch over to porn for better or for worse but I am here to tell you Kiho is legit. She’s not just a headline but a legit good AV actress with her firm figure, model-worthy looks, and best of all her experienced performing. Kiho, who is quite older than your average debut, is a seasoned woman who is not shy in the bedroom. This idol knows all the right moves. 

Next up is a mature debut that advertises herself as a married AV actress with Tameike Goro’s Kanae Yumeni. Kanae has a nice face, not very beautiful, with a slim fit figure and little bolt-on titties. What she might be lacking in the physical department she makes up for in personality, vigor, and enthusiasm. One of the best-performing rookies I have seen in a long while. A spirited beast in the bedroom who goes hard in her scenes and likes taking it hard with a Submissive side that likes the rough stuff. Kanae is better than she seems at first glance and shows her appeal in action.

Finally, we end with Niko Kawagoe of S1. That maker gets a lot of love and attention for their famous names or huge busty debuts but Niko’s charm comes from within. A good actress who is great in bed and bursting with personality. This cutie is filled with spunk and a character that is already turning her into a fan favorite. Niko seems right at home with JAV not just onscreen but outside of it with her variety work. This darker-skinned little bombshell isn’t exactly lacking in the physical department either. However, she does show the most sexy thing you can see is enthusiasm and Niko has that in bunches.

Honorable Mentions: If Kiho and Mitsuri are number 1 and 2 in terms of growing popularity then Yu Tano might be the third. The newbie isn’t just massively well-endowed in her chest but personable with an adorable face. Hana Kurosaki with Kira Kira also deserves a shoutout. She’s a rookie Gal with a well-balanced figure and one nice ass. Then we have SOD’s Nao Satsuki with her innocent looks, pale complexion, and beautiful tits.

Another late 2023 debut who is on the upward trend has been Sui Tsukinoe. A freelancer that puts the hard in hardcore. This frail and thin-looking woman has a hard side to her and loves the rough stuff especially letting dicks drill down her throat. Sui’s name has been climbing the charts quickly and steadily through the year as fans have taken note about this wild newbie. Then we have Haru Shibasaki of SOD. They recently promoted Haru from their small label to their main exclusive label thanks to her growing popularity. Haru is cute, adorable, performs well, has a nice lower half, and, as a capper, looks like a younger Tsukasa Aoi.

Next up is Kokoro Asano of S1. A pretty younger woman with classic looks and a quiet persona. The reserved air about her doesn’t extend to the bedroom as this long-haired beauty knows how to fuck. She also has a great figure with one heck of an ass. S1 is so stacked and yet great actresses like Kokoro are bubbling under the surface. Finally, we have Mei Itsukaichi supposedly a triple exclusive with Wanz, Das, and Honnaka. I say supposedly because Mei was everywhere this year. Honorable Mentions: One name I wanted to put on here was Kanan Amamiya of SOD formerly before they dropped her. She’s a great rising name with beautiful tits and also helped kickstart the current NEET trend. However, SOD dropped Kanan so her career is a bit up in the air at the moment. Finally, we have Nami Okimiya with Madonna. A mature lady with a finely balanced figure and is one heck of a performer.

The quality of their movies are higher than ever with them experimenting with different lighting and color grading. Their labels are strong and varied from their main label to their excellent adaptation label Urekomi, to their online-only label MADOOON, to their extra mature Monroe label. The year started with the maker finishing their celebration of their 20th anniversary with part 2 of their massive studio-wide orgy special. This are looking rosy as ever for the mature maker as they age finer and finer with time.

Honorable Mentions: I still can’t tell you what is Materiall’s overall style but I can tell you this plucky upstart maker is pumping out quality releases month to month with variety. They might be taking the castoff concepts and themes from other makers but it is working. Speaking of quality releases is M's Video Group. The hardcore leaning maker has been making videos that should appeal to fans with harder tastes but also wanting higher quality productions. Finally, there is Das! who continues to make high-quality and varied titles with exclusives and freelancers.

Honorable Mentions: Madonna started a series inspired by an adult doujin called the NTR Pool series. All about married wives on vacation with husbands who are neglecting them which leads them to the arms of some younger studs. Featuring the infamous pool, it’s a fun and breezy series with a nice plot setup and open-for-fun takes by their talent.

Honorable Mentions: DASS-549 has a fun cover that highlights the actress and actor’s size difference. JUQ-917 is another gorgeous cover with a white and dream-like look. The we have MIDV-869 with a terrific front cover and glamour shot.
