Introduction

Saika Kawakita is an actress I've known about for a while because of how popular she has been. She has always struck me as a less ideal Nao Jinguji and I've just never had a strong desire to watch her, always casting her aside for later. I had a funny feeling she would be making an appearance this time around and when people started recommending her, I was kind of happy to finally take the plunge. She was always an actress in the "I should check her out eventually" camp and here we finally are.

Physical

Facially I found Saika just okay. I could honestly take her or leave her, she isn't as pretty in my opinion as everyone else seems to think. I do still think she looks like a less mature Nao Jinguji (which is a good thing, Nao is hot), but Saika just didn't really do it for me. Maybe when Saika is a bit more mature in two or three years things might be a little different.

Saika's tits were alright in my opinion. You know me, size is a huge factor, and Saika's just weren't big enough to be noteworthy. Don't get me wrong, they still had some bounce and jiggle to them, but I generally hope for a lot more than Saika had.

Saika's ass was pretty flat and easily her worst trait. There were just so many positions that made it look really awful and I just don't see how anyone could enjoy her ass.

Performing

Saika's blowjobs were not half bad. Considering the theme of the video wasn't a blowjob special, I could actually see her being pretty reasonable in some blowjob focused videos or even facial content. She has some skill it looks like and she does well when she's looking up at the guy.

Saika was also pretty reasonable about her moaning and good at making sure to look at the guy. There were moments you might have expected her to just do nothing where she would interact in ways that were actually not half bad. Certainly it was more than I would have expected from her so I was pleasantly surprised by it. Saika probably actually does well in VR or POV content and that could really translate into a few fans.

Video Review

Saika is out late with her coworkers after work one day and winds up staying the night in a hotel room with one of them. Of course, the two of them in their hotel room alone they can't help themselves and have sex all night and into the morning.

I thought the plot was pretty standard for this video, nothing crazy or special going on. I will say though that having shower sex in this one was a nice touch that made it feel like there was a bit more than other entries. I also found Saika's performance to be quite pleasant for the video as actresses are typically a lot more submissive in it. Saika maintaining a lot of eye contact throughout and looking like she wasn't totally disinterested was a pretty big deal. I still feel like the video itself was underwhelming simply because the theme itself isn't particularly great, but most of my complaints are less on Saika and more just on this concept as a whole.

Career

Saika's career has been blooming over at S1. While it's hard to say anyone other than Yua is their flagship actress, Saika has actually often outshone Yua, topping the charts on DMM very frequently. She's been insanely popular since her redebut and shows zero signs of slowing down. It's probably very likely that Saika winds up being their top actress once Yua retires later this year. If there is one thing I could say about her career, it's that she tends to have very bland videos that focus more on some strong drama narrative that gives her opportunities to act rather than interesting concepts. That's probably good for her given how she performs but as someone wanting to watch her for the first time I was a bit disappointed with the variety, even for S1. Especially as a foreigner watching, the strong drama elements tend to not go over as well just because of my inability to understand.

I am open to watching them again if the right content comes around.

I'm not thrilled about Saika but she's not half bad. Her acting is pretty solid and I can certainly see what fans like in her. She ultimately isn't my kind of actress for a lot of reasons and I really don't see myself being all that interested in her. I didn't outright hate her or anything but I'm not overly looking forward to watching any of her content. It's certainly a factor that she doesn't really have content that I want to watch as it stands now, but if she has the career she's capable of, that's just a matter of time. I think there is something to say about her moving to be the top dog at S1. We all know Yua Mikami is set to retire and Saika has already been performing as well as anyone, if not better than Yua, so it seems like this is what S1 is ready to do. Again, I have many others I prefer at the studio but my preferences are probably vastly different than the average domestic viewer and I can certainly see them wanting Saika.
